I can't find words that describe the wonderful experience I had in this wonderful place. Can't wait to visit again.

Spectacular sprawling grand hotel with an accommodating staff to match! Special thank you to amazing DJ who made our stay just wonderful. Amanda and Trenton so helpful also. And What a way to cap off a great DC evening with a walk in the Romanesque gardens and a fire lit table! Excellent value.

My friend and I booked this hotel for our trip to LA. When we arrive we were told that our reservation was cancelled.that someone bought out the hotel for the entire weekend. They didn’t contact us only when we were in the hotel lobby did they tell us that it was canceled. They offered us their apologies said they were going to call us a cab so we can go to another hotel. 15 mins can never came. We were offered apologies and after a lengthy time did we finally get our money back, but we had to do last minute reservations at another hotel which was costly. We got no perks no sorry for messing up your vacation 0/5 terrible experience.

Lovely old style hotel, very convenient to the train and all DC attractions. Rooms to suit all price ranges, very friendly staff

Great hotel. 3 minute walk from the Metro. Lots of restaurant choices around the hotel. 10 - 15 minute walk from the National Zoo and Adams Morgan. Will definitely stay here again.

Nice hotel, bit dated and rooms are large but not very comfortable. Because it's an older bldg the rooms don't stay warm.

Was just going to meet a friend staying there and get dinner close by. Was hoping to find reasonable parking rates for a couple hours. Grand place, but valet parking only. $30 for two hours. I got lucky and found street parking a few blocks away.

Moldy, Pricey and Definitely not a 4 diamonds hotel.
Elevators are horrible, constantly had to wait for a long time for the elevators and many times I gave up and had to use the stairs.

Beautiful, historic hotel. Rooms are beautifully furnished, beds are extremely comfortable, and the food is delicious. Great location in DC with a lot of fun restaurants, and it's very close to the Smithsonian conservancy/zoo. Only downside is very expensive drinks at professional events ($11 for a bottle of domestic beer)

Hat alles gepasst. Zimmer war großzügig in der Größe und sauber. Personal war immer sehr freundlich und half bei jedem Problem. Sehr ansprechender Eingangsbereich. Würde wieder dort buchen!

4.5 stars - Great hotel with a lot of history. Customer service was excellent. 4.5 stars because the rooms were a little dated. Would stay there again

Apparently Bill Clinton played the sax here for his inauguration dinner and the Beatles stayed at this very location-not that it should be the determiner in your decision to stay here but it was a neat thing to learn. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in DC here, the reception desk was welcoming and the hotel room was clean. The size is huge and the garden was our favorite part. Enjoyed how close it was to the city, but just far enough for reasonable rates. Definitely considering for the future and would certainly recommend.

I have stayed there twice for a week each time at a ffa event call wlc I was walking back to my room after community group when I saw a guy sitting in a corner crying because of his home life we have been friends for two years now his adoptive parents got what they deserved and he’s in a much better home and if I had never gone that one year he would probably still be in that situation but because we were both there he’s not and the second year I went every time I walked down that hall way where I met him I smiled knowing I did something meaningful this hotel is magic for some and I’ll never forget my experiences at this hotel the second year I went and met someone who lived 20mins away from me this hotel is powerful and I highly recomend it

Customer service for this hotel is seriously unprofessional and very disorganized. As someone that works with customer on a daily basis, this is no way to treat a customer. They have provided false information to get me off the phone and at the end of day not resolved my problem. I called the hotel again where I had already been told that they would refund my money if I booked a stay with them for the correct days that I intended to stay. The manager OMAR told his front desk he would call me back in 5 minutes, I waited an hour and never received a call back. Very unprofessional in his part, finally I had to call back they transferred me and finally got a hold of him. He was very unprofessional and rude to speak to. I was told one thing and he tells me another. I’m very disappointed on how this hotel has handled my issue. I made a mistake when booking this reservation did what they had told me to do to be said another thing after. Never have I had such an issue with a hotel, I’ve stayed in lower star hotels and never been treated so unprofessional. I would like to be given a call in timely manner in regards to this issue. If you have any questions about the matter please feel free to reach out at me. Thank you.

Stayed here for my sister's wedding. During my visit I saw that the breakfast area served crepes (a favorite of mine) but I couldn't partake as I was busy with wedding stuff. On the last day I ate at the breakfast area but saw that they were not serving crepes that day. I asked the lady working the breakfast area, Annette if they had crepes. She replied that they don't make them everyday only on some days. She must've saw the look of disappointment on my face. She disappeared into the back. Before I knew it, she came walking out with a platter full of crepes and gave them to me. She asked the cook Ramon to make them special for me. I was ecstatic. Outstanding customer service. Omni has my vote. Thank you Annette and Ramon!

Stayed here on a trip with my Mother and son on his first trip to see the White House. I had reserved a room through groupon. The hotel really is beautiful. We had great experience with Bellhops and Doormen, very helpful and friendly. Room keys didn’t work when we got to the room which always is a pain, and although we had to go get our own new room keys, they did send someone now to open door for us.
Breakfast buffet was very good. Wide variety to choose and service was outstanding. Breakfast service was highlight of my stay. Pool had just opened for season and it was heated so my son could swim even though it was 50 degrees outside.
The problem I had here is that after I got home I noticed I had two charges of $75 in check card and one charge for $220. Room cost me $250 with a Groupon that I had prepaid in full. I knew one of the $75 charges was deposit they give you back after check out but they had no business holding another $295 of my money. The last $75 they took cane out this morning, after i called about the $220 a day after checkout. They said it would come back they knew the $220 was accident something about routing it wrong. But I got zero apologizes. I don’t understand why a hotel has the ability to just take money out of my account as they please. Yes maybe that money will come back but right now it’s pending and I can’t use my own money because they essentially at this point until I see it in my account have stolen it. And they can’t help it I just have to wait 3-5 business days for MY hard earned money to be available for ME to use bc Omni Shoreham made an error. So will they pay my overdraft fees if I happen to overdraft because of their error? No. I would not stay here again because of this. They can hold whatever money they please, don’t offer any sorry about it, and can’t help me. Bad business, not the service of a high end hotel. I’d give breakfast staff and bell hops 5 Stars but rest of hotel experience I’d give 0.

I stayed at this hotel in January for several days to attend a conference. It's a nice hotel - very beautiful. However myself and others who attended the conference noticed that the hallways and guest rooms had a dusty, moldy smell - like the attic of an old house used for storing furniture that hasn't been touched in 30 years. Maybe that was supposed to contribute to the ambiance of the hotel. I didn't care for it, however. Plus, the ceiling panel in my bathroom was loose. Thus, bugs conveniently shared the bathroom with me through that entry point each morning.
