5 West Apartments, Tampa FL

We just did a walk through to see about possibly leasing here, Briana was so withdrawn and seemed uninterested in showing us an apartment. We asked to see a one bedroom to get an idea of the floor plan and she was hesitant to show us, her excuse was that the cosmetic structure would be different. I told her that was fine we just wanted to see the floor plan. Originally she had two to show, but once we saw the first one she “didn’t know” if she had another one to show. She had zero personality and the whole interaction felt rushed, so with that being said.we’ll take our business elsewhere. HOWEVER, the community was beautiful and very well kept.

Terrible staff! When I first moved into these apartments I had several maintenance issues that were not addressed before moving in. Only after leaving several messages and waiting multiple weeks were the problems corrected. The month of April I turned in money orders for rent payment, on-time and the office staff photocopied the money orders and signed my copy as receipt. But when I checked my account online they charged me a late fee because they didn’t process the money orders until 5 days later. Then the following month, literally one day before the 1st they send a mass email to residents informing of the payment system changing and no longer accepting money orders. I went to the office and informed them of the incorrect late charge needing to be removed so I could make a payment online, and they did absolutely nothing. Then I proceed to send two emails and got no response. So I decided to get a cashiers check and turn that in for rent payment and informed them of the issue I was having, they said someone would get back to me. No one ever contacted me, they do not answer the phone, even when they’re not busy. I sent two more emails got no repsponse. Now today on the 21st I get an eviction notice saying I didn’t pay the rent for the month of May. I’m appalled. Stay away from this place. There are much better options for the price. Horrible staff terrible customer service. They have no follow through, no follow up or anything.

Worst customer service, apts are not kept in great shape. “ Renovated” apartments don’t look that much diff than classic. For the price they’re charging it’s overrated!

The apartments are a nice size. The ladies at the front always have a smile on their faces and are helpful.
