I’ve used the Palm Harbor location several times for various routine scans, and ALWAYS a very pleasant experience. Receptionists are on top of their game and provide quick service. The wait times have never run too long. The technicians are super knowledgeable and friendly, and the radiologists are prompt w their reports. The office decor is interesting (lol) but that’s irrelevant to the service provided, which is excellent!:)

Good luck trying to schedule a scan of any kind at this facility once known as Westcoast Radiology.
After being discharged from a hospital I was given a Script for a whole body pet scan.
The matter was urgent as while hospitalized a large mass was found on and surrounding my one lung. I was told to follow through with radiology ASAP to learn how to proceed with this mass. It was biopsied while I was in the hospital and results came back undetermined.
I have been last minute postponed twice with Akumin after both times fasting all evening and the next morning I have been given numerous reasons for the canceled scans in most instances blaming my primary doctor.
Once I told the girls in scheduling I would have to ‘self pay’ if that might get me in for the scan quickly. Ironically, they called me back not even 10 minutes later stating they could squeeze me in. Unfortunately, I had just started my breakfast when they called me back. Axing that
impromptu option scan (you needed to fast for)
I am terribly frustrated and would never trust this corporate owned business in business to make money not wanting to deal with my insurance company!

The only 2 complaints i have is cleaniness and billing. I been to the other Akumin facilities much cleaner and correct billing.

My experience for knee x-rays oh, horrible the lady was tipsy so bad sorry slurring her words, when she left the room I picked up her cup and smelled it it was vodka and orange juice. Plus when I got my results they said nothing was wrong with me and I had four more results from another place of my injuries

Staff went out their way to help my husband. He's a stroke patient and only pivots to table. They were reassuring and comforting. Sherrie was fabulous!

The staff was great but I changed in a room with no where to put my stuff and the pants they wanted me to put on were sitting out there for everyone to breath on. The technologist and the reception person were wonderful and they did finally come out to get me. I had to call the call center call center called the wrong place I wanted them to come out and get me because of patients in the waiting room finally the call center got the reception area and the reception person came out but before that when they got the other place she said will just go on in they called the wrong center. The staff is great but the inside Covid safety is not good in my RN opinion.

This is for the Palm Harbor West location. The Radiologic Technologist that performed my MRI this morning was either not ware of industry standards or didn't care. Standard practice for MRIs is to offer the patient a blanket due to the usual cold temperature in the room, offer assistance to the patient with getting on and off the bed, positioning, etc. None of that happened. I had two MRIs today; one of my lumbar and one of my left knee. I was on the table for approximately an hour and for some reason my left knee was unable to be supported by anything. Apparently she never heard of involuntary movement because she told me multiple times that she's seeing a little movement and each time I told her, it's nothing I can control, it's involuntary movement. I've had several MRIs in the past at other facilities and this was my only bad experience so far. Every MRI facility I have ever been to also allowed the patient to choose what they wanted to listen to during the uncomfortable procedure. Not only did she not ask what I would like to listen to, when I asked she then asked me what station I want. I don't usually listen to terrestrial radio stations, but rather genres. She tells me that they only get a few stations and they don't have anything other than terrestrial radio. Really? It’s 2020. What business can’t or won’t provide this to their customers especially in a line of work like this? She also placed some sort of device (possibly a coil) around both legs for the MRI of my left knee. When she secured the device, she didn’t pay attention to the edge of the device and she had it poking into the inside of my right thigh. I had to bring this to her attention as she started to send me into the machine so she could fix it. While I was having the MRI of my lumbar, something inside the machine made me sneeze and there was no way to stop it or cover my mouth and nose. When the procedure was over, she didn’t clean the inside of the machine where I sneezed and the next person was brought right in after me. Very disappointed in this level of customer service and I would highly discourage anyone from going here. The only good experience I had was the front desk staff. They were very courteous, although when I checked in, the lady should have seen and known not to ask for insurance or form of payment by looking at my information and seeing that I was there for a Federal Workers Compensation case, that the information was faxed over and the case number is on the prescription. Customers shouldn’t have to tell you how to do your job.

This is the best imagining center around town! Their office staff answers the phone right away at this location and they are always so helpful when scheduling appointments. We always refer our patients here and request Dr. Butler to completed all of our reads! He is absolutely the best and provides the most detailed reports.

Staff was efficient and respectful. Appt at 11am and out by 1120 am. I was pleased with their service.

They ask you come 15 minutes before you appt. I am now here waiting 25 minutes past my appt.time. Very poor customer service.

Staff is friendly, facilities are unclean. It is surprising there aren't more stringent cleanliness requirements for medical facility. I would not use this company if I had a chose. Humana Plus will not allow the use of any other facility. Will probably change insurance company next year to avoid this place.

Terrible service, had to wait an hour to get in and while working on patients, the workers would leave to go to see a baby that had came in. People then had to wait another 10 min while listening to all of the workers playing while people waited

I had a great experience there today. The lady who did my ultrasound was very nice. She made sure I was comfortable and understood everything that was taking place. I would definitely go again. The front desk lady was also nice and quick.

This company is the worse you wait here for an hour on The bend your I’d in the scanner and front desk is very rude Jamie I would not come if I was you go to another radiology

It's close to where I live in Dunedin than the office in Clearwater or St. Pete. It's new name is Akumin and not West Coast Radiology. The new signs for Akumin are not up yet.
