The staff are very knowledgeable, friendly, and talented. I had such a great experience here having my hair dyed for the first time. The nail services are great as well!

This place is great. I've been trying to find a good salon in Gainesville and now I know this is the only place I'm going to go. Samantha cut my hair and she was fantastic. Everyone I encountered was super nice, and the salon was welcoming. I'd definitely recommend for anyone trying to find a new stylist!

Love Avant Garde! Such a friendly space. Alf is my stylist and he's the best! He has an incredible sense of design and he's so skilled at accentuating face shape. 100% recommend.

Great place for a variety of self care. I highly reccomend Alf and Kyler, they both excel at their given skills. The rest of the staff seem to deliver friendly quality care as well. A nice place if you are looking to do some salon time with people who seem to enjoy there profession and taking care of others.

Michel is AMAZING. I had an issue with my hair and she took the time to talk to me about it, explained what had happened and not only fixed my color but made it PERFECT. She took the orange out of my hair and it's perfectly highlighted and the blonde that I've been trying to get to for years. The best highlights I've had in Florida. The salon was super professional and clean and they provided an awesome experience with refreshments and a scalp massage/hot towel with the hair wash. They even fit me in the next day when I called in a panic the night before for an appointment.

Just to let everyone know, you have to pay for parking. I just spent $4 on parking just to be turned away on a Friday afternoon. Thanks, but no thanks.

It is always a wonderful experience having treatment or a haircut here. A truly delightful experience. Aveda products available. Have a glass of wine or coffee while you sit and get treated.

Got my hair cut by Samantha and I couldn’t love it any more! She was so sweet, warm, and VERY knowledgeable. After a few bad haircuts at another salon, Sam saved the day! She knew exactly what I wanted and made it perfect.

I came to this salon for a haircut and for a “balayage”. I have only had one person ever color my hair so I was very skeptical of going somewhere new. The job that Tyler did was a work of art! He is a true genius and was very pleasant to work with, it felt like I have known him forever. I will definitely recommend this salon and if you want to color your hair, you should definitely ask for Tyler, he has many years of experience and does an excellent job.

BLESS. Candice did it again. I always go in for the exact same thing, bleach & tone, but wanted to switch it up. I gave her a vague idea of what I wanted and she went above and beyond with it. She did a gorgeous shadow root on my hair and I have never been happier. Will never stop going to this place!

I have been going to Avant Garde Salon for two years now and I wouldn't recommend anywhere else! I have made appointments for waxing, hair cuts, pedicures, manicures, etc. You name it, they've got it, and they always do an amazing job. I walk out always feeling refreshed and taken care of. The staff are all amazing and always lovely to talk to. I wouldn't go anywhere else in Gainesville.
