They took excellent care of my dog Jack. He's had difficulty walking and now he is up and walking normally. I'm very pleased

I took my dog in for an emergency in the middle of the night. The staff and vet were very nice, patient and caring. The vet explained the prognosis and options and was very empathic to the difficult decision we had to make. I will definitely bring my pets to them in the future.

Best ER vet locally! I ended up here in emergency for my little chihuahua at the beginning of covid when hardly anything was open. They were welcoming and kind and helped to put me at ease in my emergency! I’ve reluctantly had another emergency with my pet since then and gave no hesitations to where I was going. Once again, great service and such kind people! Definitely recommend.

Took my puppy here to get a skin eruption checked and I figured I would bring my new rescue along as well for a wellness exam. Vet was decent I suppose however he wasn’t very patient with the puppy and only glanced at her rash. She is an excitable puppy but you would think a seasoned vet would know how to better handle that situation. I have never provided lesser care to a patient just because they weren’t on their best behavior. I understand we weren’t the only ones to be seen that day which is why I remained unbothered by the fact that I waited an hour for my girls to be seen. (With an appointment) All in all, not very fond of the experience. I think my fur babies deserve better.

They always find a time to see my dog when he has an acute illness and they are fair priced. Dr. Foxwell is great!

Came here with my dog for a check up and definitely did not like the vet. She was quite unfriendly and in a rush. She wouldn't listen to my concerns and seemed more interested in finding ways to scam me. She recommend unnecessary blood work and tests, that totaled almost 800. Just complete underhanded place looking to scam customers. I have been to many vets and this place by far is the absolute worst.

Fantastic Veterinary clinic! The staff were all so friendly and loving towards my rescue cat. They kept him calm and relaxed throughout his exam. Couldn't be happier!

Definitely not a fan. The vet tech was very sweet and loving, however the vet seemed to care less about my dog. She seemed completely annoyed the entire 5 minutes she was with us. They also tried charging me in advance for a checkup after I told them I wouldn’t be bringing my dog back. I only brought her here because the had openings the same day, but I understand why. I strongly suggest avoiding this place and trying McGregor Veterinary Clinic. The staff is much more friendly and actually care for your animals.

I had such a great experience at this vet office! My dog was very nervous around strangers and isn’t the best at meeting new people. They had to put a muzzle on him unfortunately. The front desk staff was polite and ready for us when we got there. Dr. Alfonso was in the room with us in just a few minutes, she listed to what was going on with our dog and gave a very thorough and clear exam. My dog then became relaxed once he warmed up to them. I feel at peace now knowing Zeus is happy and healthy. I now have full confidence in them and have already recommended them to someone who was looking for a vet office before even leaving the parking lot! Thank you so much Dr. Alfonso and the whole staff for your care and support! Can't wait to see you all again for the next check up!

I first came in to Colonial Animal Hospital during their grand opening event & spoke with one of their vets regarding the cost of dental work. I had one dog with a canine slab fracture which I wanted removed as these usually result in serious issues down the road. I asked what their process was & what the ball park cost would be on the high end so that I could budget for the procedure. This service can run between $400-$1000+. I knew she needed at least that one tooth removed & I assumed a few others. The vet indicated that they offered a free dental exam & would then provide an estimate. She took a quick look at my dog’s teeth & said that it wouldn't be more than $300 including the extraction. I questioned her as this is much lower than I have ever paid and she assured me that they prided themselves on being very reasonably priced & based on her quick examination- no additional teeth would need to be removed.

I scheduled the free dental exam & was provided an estimate of between $571-$601. I was frustrated since this was clearly not what I was told by the vet. I decided to continue my search for a new vet as I felt lied to & was not comfortable with this practice any longer. I received numerous calls & emails from the office asking that we work something out. I said I wasn't interested. Being a new practice, I understand that they need clients but dishonesty about pricing is not okay in my book. Ultimately I got a call from the business owner who apologized profusely and asked me to please give them another chance. He said that they would honor the $300 I was originally quoted. I felt that this was reasonable & appreciated them taking accountability & decided to move forward with the procedure.

After it was over, I was informed that the tooth I had requested be removed was not taken out as the vet did not feel it was an issue. I was upset since that was the main reason for the procedure however the vet said it was fine. I have been told that placing a dog under anesthesia more than once per year is dangerous, especially as they get older. Bijou was 12 so I wouldn’t be able to deal with an issue until the next year.

We recently moved to CO & when I noticed Bijou’s face was swollen, we took her in and our new vet informed me that she needed emergency surgery due to an abscess from the slab fracture on the same tooth.

I made every attempt to work with CAH since this would not have occurred if they had taken the tooth when I first came in asking for its removal. They insist that they did nothing wrong and were unwilling to work with me on any of this. For this reason I HIGHLY caution pet owners to be aware that this practice is new and struggling and seem to do anything they can to draw customers in however don’t seem to be aware that an unhappy customer talks. We are heavily involved in animal rescue in the State of Florida and veterinary offices are a constant topic of conversation in our groups.

Good for routine wellness visits. If your pet has a chronic condition or an acute problem you may want to consider taken him/her to a veterinarian practice where they have more experienced personnel.

It’s the fourth of July and my kitten is sick with diarrhea, in pain as well as not eating.after calling 3 veterinary clinics before this one, no one could get us in the same day.i finally called this one, explained what was going on, they said to bring my kitten in right away.every one from the front desk, vet tech and Veterinarian were amazing and genuinely concerned for my poor kitty.they were super kind, explained everything thoroughly and made sure we agreed with the treatment plan. They treated him like he was family instead of just another patient.and they even call after wards to follow up on how your baby is doing.i would highly recommend this clinic and to make it better, the prices were cheaper than the other places i called! God forbid if i have another emergency, this will be the first clinic i will go to. ️ Thank you colonial animal hospital!

Great place to bring your pet, the staff are friendly and the owner is great! They make you feel welcomed when you walk in the door. The veterinarian is very knowledgeable and cares about your loved one. They took care of Sadie’s teeth and she just had a nice grooming. If you are looking for a place where they treat your pets like family and greet you with a smile than I highly recommend Colonial Animal Hospital. Thank you guys for taking care of my pride and joy “Sadie” she is in good hands. 5 Stars all the way! P. Diaz Hendry County Sheriff’s Office.

I had a semi emergency and they were able to see me and my dog the same day! I even came earlier than my appointment time and they were still ready to go, with no wait. I felt well taken care of, and my dog is feeling so much better! They really are attentive and helpful in every way possible.

Excellent VET will recommend. Sincere Staff, listens to your questions. Did not feel rushed like others Vets have before. Had several follow up phones call to see how our pug was doing.

I would NOT give this place a single star, but I guess I have to in order to write a review.

This is how they failed us. On Memorial Day 2019 my partner decided to clean our cat’s ears with Zymox Ear Cleansing Solution. This was a new over the counter medication that we purchased on Amazon sold by Amazon itself. He put in a few drops then gently massaged the base of his ear. Shortly after our cat let loose a sound loud and terrible. We were shocked and terrified; we didn’t know he was capable of such a heart-wrenching sound. Our boy quickly deteriorated. He was panting, drooling, and lost control of his bowels. We knew he needed to get to a hospital. We’d never been to Colonial Animal Hospital before, we typically see a different vet that’s farther away, but it was Memorial Day and this was one of the closest clinics. We called to make sure they were open and told them about Mr. Moo’s symptoms. The woman that answered the phone suggested to wait 5 minutes and then decide if he should be brought in. We brought him in as soon as we could - about 10 minutes after this began. My cat was struggling to breath while we were asked to fill out paperwork while the receptionist talked to another customer about scheduling vaccinations. This was their priority instead of even glancing at my cat. What kind of healthcare agency doesn’t even GLANCE at an incoming patient? After filling out the paperwork they brought us to a room and we waited a few minutes for the vet to see him. When she arrived she did not seem to believe that a cat being exposed to a new product could be in respiratory distress. She took our best friend from the room to get oxygen. Not even 5 minutes passed before Dr. Anne Grumney walks in the room where we were waiting and said “we did everything we could but he is gone. ” We were told he succumbed to anaphylactic shock from exposure to Zymox. She tried to console us in a usual dry manner saying we did everything right and that if we’d waited 5 more minutes Moo would’ve died at home or on the way to the vet. Small comfort when we could’ve gained 5 minutes of critical time to treat Mr. Moo with a simple glance from the staff instead of being required to waste that time filling out paperwork. She also told us that we need to contact Zymox and report a problem. Well we did, and Zymox is being very cooperative and is willing to spend time investigating what happened. What’s more is that Zymox spoke with us after calling the vet and they were told that they don’t know what really happened to my cat! DR. GRUMNEY herself told us to tell Zymox my cat died from anaphylactic shock from their product! Liar! Turns out on the day my cat died at this hospital it was the doctor’s last day and Dr Grumney skipped out to Ohio. How convenient! I am very disappointed. I can’t stand when people lie! If you don’t know what is going on with something as simple and severe as anaphylaxis then you shouldn’t PRETEND to treat our loved one! Go back to school, or better yet, get out of the profession altogether and let a competent veterinarian be in the position to save the life of someone who can’t save themselves.
