CORA Physical Therapy Deland reviews
21 My experience was the same as reviewer Greg Smith. Staff is knowledgeable but the business model is horrible—2-3 patients at the same time. There’s little to no individual attention. That’s WHY you see a PT—hands-on care, manipulation.
I went back to AdventHealth Sports Medicine and Rehab (Victoria Park). I have a new GP who suggested CORA. Should have gone with what I knew to be excellent care.
I have been going to Cora off and on over the past 8 years. They always have the best staff, clean environment, and very knowledgeable! Thank you for always taking care of me!
I think the personnel are good and caring, you get lost in the shuffle. Each PTA has 3 patients to work with. Many times I would be showed what to then left for 10-15 minutes when the exercise would take about 2-3 minutes. So, out of a 60-minute session when they grab you 5-10 minutes late you'd get 3 exercises and let out 10 minutes early. I had a severe ankle brake and surgery. Thankfully, I'm on the younger side and athletic and did the work myself. I felt really bad for the older patients as with level of service they won't improve. But, I guess in DeLand this is about the best option. I wanted to attend Jewitt Orthopedic PT where my surgery was done but the distance 3 times a week would have been too driving.
I went in crying with a severe case of Vertigo. The whole team were very compassionate and caring. Adam and Jamie fixed me right up! I appreciate what you guys have done, more than you know! Best place ever!
I have been bringing my daughter in to CORA PT in DeLand for about a month and 1/2.and they have worked very well with her.she also does the exercises at home.the therapists and staff are very pleasant and helpful. I would recommend CORA PT in Deland to anyone in need of therapy.
My experience at CORA DeLand was excellent. The therapists were professional and knowledgeable. They were focused on my progress. Each therapist had different exercises for me to do that kept my time interesting and not repetitive. I would recommend CORA DeLand to anyone who was looking for physical therapy.
The people here are very caring and helpful, they take time to explain what muscle group the exercise is working on, I’m getting stronger every day love the therapist here,
I would like to sing the entire facility's praises, but especially Summer who had to put up with some winey days. Not only are they knowledgeable and professional but they are also caring and compassionate. They certainly have your best interest at heart. Thank you all.
I highly recommend this location for physical therapy! From the moment you walk in you are treated with the utmost respect and care. The front desk staff are delightful and efficient, the therapist are friendly, thorough, and work together to ensure each patient gets the attention they need. Every member of staff makes your recovery pleasant and inevitable. Thank you all for the excellent care.
I feel so much better and stronger after therapy at CORA, DeLand. Everyone there is wonderful! Very knowledgeable, professional, and friendly.
When my ortho Dr.asked where I was going for PT and I told him CORA, he was very pleased.

Kayli exercises me to my limit, but if I cramp I can take a break. All the therapists are very knowledgeable. I’ve noticed my legs are stronger. I strongly recommend Cora, but specially Kayli.
This facility is very clean and well equipped. My therapist is excellent. From what I saw all others are as well. Even front desk ladies are very professional and nice!
Cora Physical Therapy in DeLand, FL is very good! I have been in PT for a while and Summer Taylor the Manager there has gotten to the root of my back issues. I have had back surgeries that have formed scar tissue which is causing my pain. She suggested cupping to help separate the tight tissues. I have tried all forms of pain management but this seems to work without medication. Thank you Summer and your staff, I truly appreciate all you have done for me.
Cora Physical Therapy in DeLand has a great Staff who are Knowledgeable Friendly, and always so helpful in answering questions and explaining new exercises that help improve my stamina. Thank you, Glad you are here.
I will say the first couple of treatments I was questioning if this was really going to work to resolve me health issue. But after sitting and talking with Summer and Adam I decided to give it a chance. I was a patient for months there and towards the end of my treatment I was pretty much there every day for multiple hours for my work condition program. The knowledge that both Summer and Adam have (for my issue) gave me confidence that I can make it thru this. Don't get me wrong the rest of the staff is amazing! Kristen, Jamie, and Yessenia all have a great care for their patients and can share a laugh with.
I will say that for physical therapy you get what you put in. So if you go in and half @$$ the work or not follow the proper form they want you to do; only you are to blame for your lack of success. I have taken what they asked me and followed thru even if it means looking silly to others or doing light weights for your appearance. I took it, and did it and pushed my self (within reasonable limits) to keep moving forward and processing thru the tasks to get cleared to return to work.
If I get injured again and need physical therapy (god forbid), I would not hesitate to request to be sent back here again.
I am a PTA student and was lucky enough to have served my clinical rotations here at Cora Deland. After spending 2.5 months working here, I cannot say enough good things about this clinic. As a student, you are often anxious in terms of what to expect, and how you will blend with the staff/patients. Within the first week I knew this was a great place to be. They made me feel welcomed, and like a valued member of the team right from the start.
The way they treat their patients is no different. Every clinician is friendly, kind, informative, and truly cares about your treatment outcomes. This was not only a phenomenal place to learn, but an even better place to be every day. They taught me that each patient’s needs are different, and that they should be treated accordingly in order to reach their goals.
Each clinician provides unique approaches to their patient's cases which allows for a holistic approach and avoids doing what is done too often in physical therapy; cookie cutting patients, and treating them all the same. The entire staff can't be beat, and together they provide a comfortable/positive environment to heal. I am extremely thankful for my time at CORA, and would recommend it to anyone seeking therapy. You will be in terrific hands.
They were encouraging, cordial and professional. It felt good to be there. Every therapist was good, but I must say that Kristin is a shining star. She cares about my pain and dysfunction, showing me why and helping me learn how to retrain myself to walk and feel better. No worries if you can't get her, they're all good, thanks to Summer's awesome personal and motivational skills.
I had a severe pain in my arm, bicep area, and the doctors could not figure out what was causing it. One session with a CORA therapist got to the root of the problem! They set up a treatment plan for me, and EVERY therapist I worked with there was professional, compassionate, and most importantly great at what they do. In a very short time, my arm was no longer hurting. I'm grateful for everyone at CORA for making my first experience with physical therapy a very positive one.
I had a total knee replacement and started going here 10 days after the surgery. I went twice per week (it can get crowded and Tuesdays and Thursdays seemed less frenetic). I was able to get scheduled quickly at the times I wanted with no hassle. You do have to pay your copay up front in advance of each service, and it is much better to pay for a week or a month at a time. The personnel are helpful and friendly, and listen to your concerns. I made steady progress and finished my course of treatment within six-seven weeks and my doctor was pleased. It seemed to me like the therapy was well planned, starting with simple things like stretches and leg lifts and then progressing to more difficult things as my knee gradually improved. The therapists do have to work with 2-3 people simultaneously but they seem to juggle things well. They are taking appropriate precautions by having people wear masks and taking temperatures and wiping down equipment after each use. I never got sick going there, but then again, I'm fully vaccinated. Parking is tight because there are a couple of other businesses in the same complex, but I've always been able to find a space even during busy times. At the time of this writing (February through April 2021) there is a construction project going on, on the main street where you enter from State Hwy 15A so leave yourself a little extra time to get there. It's VERY difficult to make a LEFT turn going north into this office due to heavy traffic, especially during the rush hour, so your best bet is to travel SOUTH on 15A so you have to make a right turn into the facility. There are early and later appointments available to accommodate virtually every work schedule. I have no complaints really. The facility and its personnel met my physical therapy needs.
I have to say that Cora, specifically the Deland location, has been amazing. Summer has been so helpful in treating issues with my left foot. She thoroughly explained every step of the process during my treatment. It is clearly evident that the staff loves their patients and strive for a positive and healthy outcome.
