David's Real Pit BBQ, Gainesville FL

Food is great but the girl working the register is about as unprofessional and unfriendly as it gets. Tag said Constance - Assistant Manager. Acted like she didn't want to be there and didn't feel like taking my order. Acted like she didn't know what she was doing. It was not a pleasant experience dealing with her. Watched her take other orders while I was waiting for food. She acted like everyone was an inconvenience to her. Ultimately got my order wrong because she wouldn't listen.

Usually I don't leave reviews for restaurants but this one warranted it. I kept hearing good things so I came tonight for dinner.

I completely regret it.

13 bucks (10.99 + 2 dollar tip) for 5 chicken fingers (that looked like slightly bigger french fries, obviously frozen garbage), baked beans with WAY too much onions in it (I literally had a complete, uncooked union ring in my beans) and mac n cheese that tasted like microwaved instant-mac (no words).

I seriously don't get it. I could have went to 4 rivers for a WAY better dinner than this garbage. Why does this have such high reviews? It DOES NOT deserve anything above a 2 star.

Shame on David's BBQ and shame on that rest of you for setting the food bar so low. Gainesville has some of the best restaurants in Florida and for some reason, you all voted this above a 4? Seriously? Do yourselves a favor and go to Sonny's instead if you view your food like that, you'll get a better value. Or better yet, just go to McDonalds, it's about the same quality.

Seriously, 13 bucks for dinner and it was a dumpster heap.

I'll be sure to tell everyone I know and never to come back to this horrible place again.

This place had good food but their customer service was spectacular! The people were all nice and had great personalitities. I will be returning.

Crew is great! Food is good when it’s good, not so good when it isn’t. Just inconsistent quality it seems. But when it’s great it’s great!

Great scrambler i get almost every morning. Some mistakes when i get my food but otherwise very good service!

Alright so, I've only been here for breakfast and they have never failed me once! David's Scramblers with canyons cubes will not let you down

Ribs, baked beans and cole slaw are great! Pulled pork sandwich was amazing and best BBQ sauce ever. Clean.
