Destin Harbor Boardwalk reviews
32Most everything was closed but neat to see. It had been raining and everything was super slippery! Can't wait to go back when it's all open
Food, fun and drinks! Parking is hit or miss. Easy to walk around and eat at many places, shop at pop up stalls and view the water.
I wasn't overly impressed with the Boardwalk or with Destin. Too commercialized, difficult to get around.
I felt like a mini downtown! Good food, drinks with surf stores. In front you can see so many ships and fishing boats like a small port.
Great place to relax and enjoy with family. Good scenic views of the Destin harbor. Tasty restaurants all around and always something to do! It was super hot when we went, so we just HAD to try the ice cream shops. OH DARN: P
I cant imagine what it was like during peak season. Beautiful day alot of options for restaurants and fishing charters. Get there early seems like most things closed early.
Such a lovely place to relax and enjoy with family. Scenic views of the Destin harbor are the backdrop for this lovely place. Fantastic restaurants are abundant and there is always something going on. We love Destin Harbor!
We love Dewey Destin. The Jack Scallops appetizer is a must get. Their grilled shrimp and fried shrimp is excellent too. The fresh catch comes right from the boats coming into the harbor. We always like to introduce people who have not experienced Dewey's. They always love it.
Really neat with much to do. We opted to stop and talk to the charter crew as they filleted the catch of the day. Also got to see the fishing rodeo. There's just a bunch to see and do here.
85% of the businesseses are closed for the winter (November, 2018) with signs to the effect that'll they'll open in March. Most restaurants are still open.
Expensive but it's a nice place to come and relax with the family or with friends. Lots of neat shops along the way and love music. Good entertainment just pricy.
Gets a little crowded during tourist season, but it's still tolerable usually, over all it's nice area to walk around shop, dine, kick back a few brews, & do family things as well.
I enjoy the music down there and walking along the harbor.my favorite time of the year is October when the fishing rodeo is going on. I don't like the West End what it's become really takes away from the fishing Village. Prices are outrageous down there! Too crowded most the time! Most of the seafood restaurants don't even have local seafood. I am a local and don't like the changes that have happened to Destin, such a shame! Too many apartments, motels, hotels, condominiums and loaded with rentals even with the homes. Destin is a traffic nightmare and the bridge is another nightmare due to being privately owned. Who allowed that one? I love Okaloosa and we have the prettiest and best beaches around but I see bad changes. Very hard to find public beach and if you do super crowded!
Very touristy. If you are not renting a boat to go over to crab, it isn't much of place. Especially in afternoon. May be sunrise or sunset but afternoon was disappointing
I love going to the boardwalk it is a good place to walk around and they have plenty of restaurants and little shops to go through. The kids always love feeding the fish along the walk as well as rock climbing and the hamster balls.
A little walk with a drink on hand is what I like to do in this place. You can enjoy live music and a snack or full meal.
Nice place to visit if you want to walk around some. Quite a few cool shops/attractions to visit. They have zip lining, 7D experience (video game), Lazer challenge, and mirror mazes.
Also a couple restaurants, fudge shops, and other little souvenir shops.
Was going to stop there but they charge way too much for parking for shopping and activities that are not really worth it. Most likely a place to go for food and drink.
Like Every Other Broadwalk:
2 Stars - The Broadwalk Life: Like every other broadwalk around the country this one is quite different and unique representing a mix of the floridian and louisiana culture.
1 Star - Very pretty to take pictures.
1 Star - Has a ton of options for Food, Boat rentals, Scuba Diving, Snorkeling, Memorabilia etc etc
Minus 1 Star - Like every other broadwalk in the country, its expensive.
Wide variety of activities for the family. Parking was $10 and was very congested. Have to stop by and see the boardwalk if you are in Destin.
