DMV Margate / Bureau of Dealer Services

I work at restaurant so I know how difficult customers are. We, by any stretch of the means, are NOT difficult people but when ever we asked a question or didn't just say "yes" to everything they told us to do, the staff for some reason got noticeably angry and would just leave. When people at a dmv ask "why" I feel like the anwser shouldn't just be "because" espically coming from the manager. I really feel bad for anyonr who have to come to this dmv.

Do Not Get DISCOURAGED if you see a long line outside, once you get in the building things go pretty fast. I was able to get a FL driver's license replacement in about an hour. Have all needed documents and you should be ok. They also have a great customer service personnel and that's rare on a government office.

I had to ask some work hours to be there at 4: 35 PM, waiting in the line outside, just a waste of time; last persons they let them in was at 4: 41 PM. After that the security just coming out every a while to explain that nobody else would be allowed in (really?). It would be nice if they don’t post wrong information on line about the schedule, they do not close at 5: 00, they do it at 4: 40 PM.

Customer service is attrocious you could be dieng on the floor and they wont let you inside you must wait outside in 98 degrees for any number of hours and once you make it inside they treat you like cattle. Welcome to hell

Since other locations are temporarily closed you'll want to arrive before they open. They were very nice and even opened early to accommodate everyone. Organized and polite.

Never had an appointment, my son and I walk in for a driving text at 9: 45am a pretty long wait, we have to wait out side on a hot sunny day for his name to be called we leave the dmv around 1pm and my son pass his driving test.

This is the line! Without chairs, and it’s really hot to stay outside on this line. Nothing here is free, so they should have more space inside the bolden

Phone system sucks. Every option leads to a dead end. Cannot get a live person no matter how long you wait. Waited on hold for almost an hour.nothing. It says press one. You press one. NOTHING! Absolutely terrible. Tried to make online appt. Can't.dead end. Tried to get document info. Can't.dead end. Try to use phone system to avoid long lines at dmv.can't. Local government at it's best. A frustrating, non-functioning waste of time.

Today I had the worst experience ever. Took the written test in the morning, and they told me to come back at 2pm for the driving test. It was raining, waited for about 30 minutes til I walked to ask, they said no more drink tests today, so I asked for the manager and she said she was going to do something, 1 hour passed, and I went to see the manager again, and she had left to go home. Very disappointed

Wow I’m amazed how fast I wa sable to be served including waiting in line to get in processed and called. Came in at 4pm and was able to be served in less than an hour most DMVs you’re there for over an hour.

WHY DOESNT ANYONE PICK UP THE PHONE? ! IT DOES NOT EVEN LET YOU DIAL IN, NO TONE AT ALL. Please fix this issue, we need to be able to call and ask questions before waiting HOURS there.thank you. Zero stars for phone lines. Extremely frustrating.

Went to renew my DL without an appt and was out within an hour. Though it was super crowed lines went fast and the staff was pleasant.

Been there 3 times. Always pleasant and very professional. Waited less than 30 minutes which was expected.

Fast, efficient, professional, very friendly and no line. Thank you for your work! It took 15 mins no to renew my drivers license. I highly recommend this place over other DMVs.

I got my permit today at the Margate DMV. I took the test there and I was done in an hour. BUT i had an appointment. If you show up without one, it will take A LOT longer. The workers get the job done quickly as possible and are fairly nice too. What I like about this DMV is that if you don't like the first photo, they allow a few retakes. The test is also online and easy to work the computer.

We had an Absolute nightmare experience at this DMV location. My daughter made an apt. For her drivers test. We showed up on time for our scheduled apt.and still waited over 2 1/2 hours before we left with her license in hand. Unfortunate for us, we failed to look closely at the license until we got back home. The morons who work there issued her another learners permit and not an actual license. We had to go back the next morning. We arrived 20 minutes befor the doors opened. You’d think since they made a mistake they would quickly fix the problem and issues her the correct license. NOT the case! They made us wait in line outside with everyone else. We then waited in a line inside and were issued a number to sit and wait again! It’s Policy they said. Is it also policy to issue an incorrect license? ! I understand mistakes happen; however, there is a correct way to handle them. The employees are obviously incompetent.

Train your employees on proper policies regarding tags. An agent made me drive across the city to return my tag to an agency even though he assured me there was no fee. He was wrong. I had to pay. Waste of time and money.

I would drive out of my way to go to this location. Service is always fast, the people knowledgeable, friendly and helpful.
