Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park reviews
27We had a great time here! My kids loved all the animals! This place is a great place to visit if you only have 1/2 a day, or you need a day to relax, but you still want to do something with your family.
Worth the visit. We paid $13 dollars for an adult and 5-12 was $5 and 5 and under is free. I have teenagers and a 10 year old and it was perfect for everyone. Definatley give yourself more than a few hours.
Many animals to see, but as a Wildlife Rehabber they don't follow state minimum standards we have to follow. You will enjoy it if you are not a Rehabber!
This is a beautiful park with all animals native to florida plus the oldest Hippo Lu and you can take a boat ride or tram, you can view Manatees in the Crystal Clear Spring and watch them be feed! There are wildlife education shows, and during Christmas it is all lights!
If your in the area you have to go meet Lou the Hippo! He is such a ham! Showing off and posing for photos! Its well worth the ticket price for a visit and you can see the Manatees all year round.
It was a cool day and the animals were very active! The educational programs were very interesting and we saw so many wild manitee! From the underwater observatory we felt like we were swimming with them, they were so close. Will definitely go back, probably many times!
I have a handicapped adult son and he loves the Wild Life Park. He can tell you what each animals, do how they behave and the ones he likes best. We pack a lunch and were there for several hours. There is not an animal there or a species that we do not visit. We also take pictures of Eric with the animals.
It was a great day had a lot of fun check out all the short videos this place is a must do with the kids
Love this park especially at Christmas time they have a great light show and it’s very family friendly. On Christmas Eve the have a church service there also. Great place to see the manatee
We thoroughly enjoyed the Christmas celebration of lights this evening. Beautiful! Park your vehicle in the parking lot and a tram takes you to the display. The lights, at times, are synchronized with music. Walk around to take in the wonderful displays or find a bench to relax and enjoy nightly entertainment by various groups/singers.
It was a a fun adventure. Seems like an awesome place for wildlife that cannot be placed back into the wild. Would totally recommend if you are in the area.
Went for the lights Saturday night, good sized crowd. Neat display but the vendor serving the hot chocolate and funnel cake fries.horrible quality funnel cake. Should be ashamed to take people's hard-earned money and give them that type crud.
Absolutely LOVE this place, we try to go at least 3-5 a month and we still are surprised by everything there! The christmas light show they put on is so cute and fun, we would highly recommend going if you haven't been!
My first time there it was awesome. We enjoyed our boat tour so much we would go again. Prices are very good. I had a great experience with all the different types of animals.
My wife and I love this place. We've been here on numerous occasions and often bring guests here. It's a very nice place to spend a half a day. You have a few options for getting to the park, from the visitors center. By boat (our favorite), by tram, walking, or you can drive your own vehicle to the main park. All of the animals are rescued and/or rehabilitated. Manatees, big cats, Lou, the hippo, and lots of birds. A very cool underwater viewing area is a must see. If you're in the area, stop in and enjoy.
The staff are pleasant and helpful. The animals are well cared for. Just watch out for the mosquitos.
There’s a lot of variety of wildlife. The volunteers are a wealth of information and are very approachable. Stop and ask lots of questions.
Had lots of fun. Looking and learning about all the different animals and there habitats with my granddaughter
Awesome place. So many different animals. With the warm weather the manatees weren't coming into the spring. But, we saw a few
This park is extraordinary. There is an interesting boat ride into the wildlife displays. The range of animals is marvellous plus you can see manatees close up as well. Be sure to bring a camera and plan to spend several hours to view all that the park has to offer.
