Howard Johnson by Wyndham St. Augustine/ I-95

This is by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. The pool was disgusting with mold everywhere. The rooms had bugs in it. One of the beds in the room is missing a leg and makes lots of noise. There was stinky water coming out of a drain in front of the rooms. This was not cheap by any means and the experience was awful.
I hope you take a bit of pride in owning a hotel and consider the people that need to stay there either for work or pleasure. I will never go back or recommend it to anyone.

DO NOT STAY HERE. BEWARE. This place should be condemned. The mold in the room was horrible. Had to buy a candle and stuck an air freshener on the AC. Hard to sleep and breath. Mold all in the bathroom. And you couldn't call the front office because the wire was broken. Our friends next door tried but it was static! Stuff was patched and things hanging off the wall. Dirty sheets. I know it's a cheap place to stay but Noone should stay at a place that could be harmful to humans

Zen Living to walk to other office, so I did and I said 'hello'. Office guy said 'hold on'. I said 'excuse me' he said 'I have another customer'. Then proceed to tell me to go outside to the window. And not to go out other door. Hotel was dirty, with a plumbing problem and a condom sticking out of the man hole flooding.

These rooms are horrible checked in sign says use night window to check in at 3 pm then the room smells of mold and the room next door to me ceiling has fallen in which my room with the smell shower drips water and wont stop and the phone dont work at 1045 pm no one is answering the phone at the front desk. I was charged 145 now the room shows online for 60 dollars. Im contacting corporate about this horrible motel.

Old run down motel. The smell was like a wet mildew old place smell. Too big of furniture for a small motel room and was chipped up. Marks on the wall and little holes everywhere. Bathroom light didn't really work. It flickered on, put wasn't really on if you know what I mean. Also when we woke up we found 2 cockroachs? , 1 on the floor crawling and the other one crawling on the wall. Who knows if there were more while we were sleeping. This place needs to be stripped down to the studs and rebuild. Pictures are misleading and we payed over $100 for this dump. I would not stay here if all possible until they rebuild it.

First thing that made this hotel absolutely horrible was the smell of mold the second you walk in the door. Decided to deal with it because we planned to only stay one night. Then in the middle of the night I wake up to 20-30 cockroaches crawling in my bed. I removed them from the bed and wrapped one up in a towel and took it to the office where I showed the man working. He said “it’s Florida we have a lot of bugs” I told them I want my money back or a different room. He told me to deal with it or leave. Very rude and unprofessional about it. Not to mention half the lights did not work. Also there was about a 3 inch gap on the bottom on the door. You could put your hand in it. I brought that up also to the man in the office and he said okay leave or don’t. This place needs a lot of work and the management is horrible. Do not stay here!

Never in my 21 years of existence have I seen such squalor. The door hinges were faulty and we had to rely on a good samaritan to assist us in opening the the room. An immediate musty odor was thrust upon us like a flashbang, a very fitting warlike experience considering our surroundings in St. Augustine. There was also an issue with the wall outlets within the room. Initially, we considered this to be part of the St. Augustine experience, historic walls with little to no electrical power. This is particularly disappointing because we live in a an era of technology, and insufficient power is often representative of an insufficient hotel.

We were also warmly greeted by a familiar six-legged companion, the Florida Cockroach. With no sign of a Hullet exterminator, we were forced to suffer the company of the roach while he looked on us with mockery as we attempted to remodel the hotel room to find a suitable outlet for the computer. Do not book here. Stay away.

This is an older facility with aging furniture and small rooms; however, the staff are friendly and the rooms are clean. The pool needs some cleaning. So far we are pleased. Good place to sleep and shower.

It's a little dated but the price was great for a two day stay. Our room was clean and did not smell like mold. The gentleman at the desk was very nice.

Pros:

No carpet in rooms (seems cleaner this way in my opinion)

Cons:
Visible residue from previous guests in shower.
Hair, long black hair in all the towels. I'm a guy with short hair.it wasn't mine, and there was lots of it.
Breakfast had no meat or eggs. Had waffles but they tasted expired.
Tiny TV.

Wish I could give this place a zero star because for one how are u gonna sell someone something that is nasty as hell with when I was a sleep i got woke u to roaches all over me and the walls entertainment center and they won't give me at least half of my money back this place needs new management company

Terrible experience. Room small and with a lot of cockroaches.one night a couple tried to open our door thinking that was their room and the other night there was a fight in the street that we almost call the police. Breakfast terrible, just bread and mini cupcakes and only one waffle maker for a lot of people. Really bad inn. Never coming back again.

Didn't really like. Need some improvements. The room smelled moldy. The stairs to climb out of the pool was loose and rusty.

The rooms smell bad, the soaps seemed used, there were roaches in the room and the breakfast space is too little for the capability of people they host.

The worse hotel in St. Augustine Worst customer service ever Rooms are dirty and their disgusting and And the beds are itchy the walls look like they have pee. This is just nasty.

Our neighbors were super noisy and their kid knocked our door playing a prank at 11pm, I know the hotel cant help that. The reason for the low review is the air. It kept going out every hour and wed have to wake up and reset it. So that combined with our noisy neighbors made for a terrible nights sleep. Had the air worked it wouldnt have been so bad.

The room was clean the staff was friendly and it was easy to find. Only a few minutes from the city attractions. It was perfect.

The door to our room doesn’t shut or lock properly, and when it does, it refuses to unlock. There are no comforters, only thin blankets and the AC is obnoxiously loud. It claims there is a hot breakfast, but the only hot item is the one waffle maker. I went for a bagel instead and found it hard as a rock. I asked if they had any other bagels and they were completely out. Needless to say, not coming back, and also eating breakfast elsewhere.

Staying here for my honeymoon and the room is great. Great location minutes from anywhere in St. Augustine

Found hair in my bed and my towels. The door is loose the bathtub is painted and flaking off. I would not come back.
