Jackie's Seafood Market, Jacksonville FL

Jackie's Seafood is a nice place to get some fresh seafood! Not only do they sell fresh seafood but for nominal fee they'll also cook it for You there. (This is not a sit in restaurant; however, cooking the food is a sweet service Jackie's provides) My favs: grilled grouper, grilled red snapper, fried black sea bass*, fried shrimp. But they sell live blue crabs and bushels of oysters too.

First time going to Jackie's. I wanted Croaker fish and they were the only place I could find that had them and thought it would be a bonus not to have the "fried fish" after scent in the house by having it fried at the market. Service was fast and the place was clean and the prices were reasonable. I bought Croaker fish and had them season and fry (requested they fry the crust hard/crunchy). I also bought steamed green mussels with spicy butter seasoning. Well the croaker tasted fresh, but the crust was not at all crunchy as I requested and the spicy butter seasoning on the mussels not really spicy, just way too salty. I've had much better butter seasonings at other places in Jax. I will patronize them again, but next time I'll just purchase the seafood and cook/prepare it myself.

The cashier is a real people person, she is friendly and knowledgeable of the business. She is definitely an asset to the company

I love Jackie's I'm a regular food and service is great best grilled salmon in the city and very affordable

I went here for fresh crabs while we were visiting our family and I purchased their seasoning and 2doz of crabs. They were good.actually great! I forgot to take pics in the beginning but here is the finished product.they were worth it!

Stopped in for some fresh shrimp on my way thru. Great price on gorgeous shrimp. Will pop in again next time I'm here.

Excellent Seafood variety to choose from here. If it comes out of the ocean, you'll probably be able to find it at Jackie's Seafood.

The employees are fantastic here too, helpful and friendly, and they know their Seafood.

Besides a fresh seafood though, it's also a great place to grab a quick hot lunch to go.

Good selection. At least they are Ma&Pa Kettle quaint. Will cook it, too, for a price. Mostly local. If you're still not interested, the slow service at the Captain D's next door might make you walk into their parking lot.

Seafood always fresh. I'm either getting snapper or live crabs.busy at times.well worth the freshness.

Finally went in to Jackie's and we are hooked.pun intended! We bought several pounds of the King Crab Legs which were only (I know) $24.99lb compared with other places are $35+. They steamed them to perfection for us and we were thrilled! Amazing prices and selection. Giant Scallops and Shrimp, all sooo fresh. They also serve a multitude of dinner's. Very friendly staff and no waiting. Located on University by the Harvey's Shopping Center. Will be back again and again.

When going inside the first thing we noticed is it was not fishy smelling at all. The presentation of fresh fish, shrimp, and Seafood looked extremely fresh. I also noticed that they did cook seafood platters to go, which looked very appealing and the portions seemed to be very large. On this particular day we were looking for octopus which they had. They carry a wide variety of seafood this is what you're looking for they have it. I would highly suggest trying!

A little disappointing. I thought it was associated with the Jackie's Seafood on the Northside. It is not

I found this place one day while in the area, and was hoping they had lunch, and they did! It was great, just what I was looking for, awesome friend seafood, they have broiled as well, good selection, they also have fresh seafood for purchase by the pound. I was really impressed!

The seafood here is super fresh with great seasonings and a wide array of choices. Raw, broiled, fried or steamed, they do it all. Love this place!

This place is amazing. More fish varieties than all the grocery stores. The entire east coast in one place. Enjoy and pay a little to have hem cook it for you. Do skip on the snapper tho. That was boney and sharp, better baked tyan fried. Thanks for letting me pay to try and eat it.

Wonderful selection of extremely fresh seafood! Outstanding customer service (. We love you Linda!) killer fresh oysters when everyone else was out of them, I could go on and on! Just go there and you'll see!

Atmosphere was amazing staff and food was wonderful will definitely be returning again and telling my friends to go.
