I had the best experience at JFK North for outpatient ankle surgery on March 9. Nadine was my pre-op nurse and was very professional at the same time very caring. She answered my every question and helped my nerves settle before surgery. Nadine explained in detail what to expect and timeframe.
Dr. Francisco is an excellent foot/ankle surgeon and highly recommend him. I would go back to JFK North for outpatient surgery!

What can I say about the staff at JFK Medical Center-N other than they are all amazing! I had a scheduled procedure on March 12,2021 and from pre-OP, to the anesthesiologist the experience was wonderful. Ms. Tanica in pre-OP called to get my info for registration, she was friendly and polite. Ms. Lily in the concierge who took my information and got me prepared to do my covid test was so personable. She treated me as a "person" and not just another patient. She was kind and answered any questions or concerns that I might have had. On the day of the surgery, I had the opportunity to encounter the two most kind nurses; Ms. Marva and Ms. Nadine. Those two ladies were extremely busy, but they did everything with a smile on their faces and put your mind at ease, which is what anyone needs when going to do any form of medical procedure. Mr. Stern, the anesthesiologist was funny and kind and explained what his role was, his assistant Ms. Wanda was also hilarious. During recovery, I had Ms. Kelly and Ms. Marissa who ensured that I was ok and contacted my husband when it was time for me to leave. Yes. I know I just wrote a short novel, but I wanted to ensure that those heroes were recognized for their services. While one might say "they were just doing their jobs. " This maybe so, but they went above and beyond to give their patients/clients the peace of mind that they needed when going under, and I for one appreciates it, especially in these trying times where everyone is on edge. So to the staff at JFK-North Ms. Tanica in pre-OP, Ms Lily in concierge, Ms. Marva and Ms. Nadine in surgery, Mr. Stern and Ms. Wanda the anesthesiologists and Ms. Kelly and Ms. Marissa in recovery, thank you all very much for your extraordinary service! You are greatly appreciated!

"I felt very comfortable & in good hands during my Hospital stay at JFK. The staff went out if their way to provide me with the highest quality standard of care while I was there. I feel much better now & this has been my Hospital of personal choice for quite some time now due to the fact of them always going above & beyond to meet if not oversee all of my expectations. "

Directions were a bit vague and when I called minutes from my appointment, whoever answered the phone was curt and dismissive. Other than that, the professionals I dealt with were very supportive and knowledgeable. I would suggest that you change the videos in your waiting room. You may find images of a machine slicing and dicing a human interesting, but for someone waiting to discover if surgery is needed, it is not the most relaxing ambiance.

SOME OF THE ER DOCTORS AND NURSES WERE NOT THAT HOSPITABLE. ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU CATCH THEM AT THE END OF A SHIFT.

Admission went smoothly, procedure was on time. Everyone in the hospital was friendly and knowledgeable and accommodating. I met the anesthesiologist and then the anesthesiologist who would be attending to me; and I understand that it’s necessary for all to know my history and any allergies, etc, but it’s frustrating to have to go through the same information twice in just a couple of minutes. Maybe the attending anesthesiologist could just explain what s/he’ll be doing and what medication will be used.

From the moment I was wheeled in by the Fire/rescue team to the moment I was discharged, I was given magnificent medical and pyschological treatment! Susan in Emergency went out of her way to charge my iphone so I could contact my family. The nurses on 3 and on 2 were also great - always cheerful and competent. It would be an understatement to say that I desperately wish to avoid a return visit (but not because I was unhappy with your treatment!)

I recently had orthopedic surgery at JFKNorth and stayed for 2 nights and 3 days. The staff could not have been better. They were kind and caring and wanted to please, at every level from cleaning to nursing. The food service could improve but who has an appetite anyway.

I was received by the staff empathetically and respectfully, and they tended to my needs. I appreciate their help. Thank you!

WORST service, and longest wait times. I'm convinced that all the employees get minimum wage including the doctors.

My first time at this hospital and my experience was great. The staff was very nice and attentive to my needs. I would like to thank Violet, Jennifer, Ingrid, Shakira, the ER staff, the ultrasound tech, Dr. Julian, the Dr.who did my needle aspiration and anybody I left out who attended to my needs. Thank you all for your hospitality and concern from patient in room 208. God Bless.

My grandmother died here. I don't believe enough compassion was shown. It seemed like all they wanted is to do is pull the plug. These people came off cold and not emphatic towards what my family was going through.

I paid upfront for my simple procedure and got a huge bill in the mail. JFK never provided a detail invoice and immediately began harassing me for payment. In the end, just paid it.what a ripoff!

This was the first time I was at JFK Medical center. They did a good Job on me. The Doctors and nurses take good care of me on February 26,2018. When I got they they took blood, and Put me in bay. Also there remove and replace a Foley catheter in me. Found out I had a severe UTI in me. Thank You all so much.
