LA Fitness, Oakland Park FL

This gym keeps getting nastier and nastier. The showers are full of mold, the benches have carpeting on top which is a germ incubator, and on top of all that it always smells like burning hair from some ungodly thing they cook at the service bar. It is so strong and fills the entire gym with stench. After a 30 minute work out, I cannot take it any longer.

Its an ok gym. Inexpensive. Dont use locke room sauna or pool. Can be crowded at times but serves my purpose

This place only caters to beginner lifters and girly men that enjoy watching other men work out Dont go here if youre the least bit serious about your strength conditioning.

Your basic LA Fitness. They keep it clean. Usually can get on your machine. Sick and tired of the music and they don't enforce people re racking weights or wiping machines down.

My friend gave me a free pass to try while I was visiting, the staff wouldn't honor it and I paid $15 for my hour workout. I wouldn't become a member because I dont have one close to me at home. My free pass said nothing about having to join and I wouldn't be mind paying but $15 was a ripoff. They should sell visitors 3,7and 30 day passes at a reasonable rate not $15 a day!

Big place. Lots of space & so many machines that almost no waiting. Nice big always empty pool that is great for us swimmers. Friendly staff.maybe they're pushed to be too sales oriented. Still calling me.

Clean and good structures, nice pool and classrooms. Should be more awareness towards gay men behavior inside showers and sauna. I'm heterosexual and LGBT supporter but keep it respectful

My friend and I had a horrible experience with the kids club at this location. The woman who works Monday Tuesday and Wednesday is very neglectful and lazy. She left my friends son in the stroller for an hr and 1/2 then told her she had to come get him because his nose was running! Of course his nose was running because he had been left in the stroller to cry the entire time. You shouldn't be taking care of kids if it not what you want to do.

This gym is good if you just want to go in for a quick workout. It is a little dated and old and needs to be remodeled. It's worth the drive to go to Pompano

This place needs a major cleaning. Showers need to be bleached overnight same goes for the sauna. Too much mold!

Equipment is old. Carpeting torn. Reports of lockers broken into and windows of cars smashed to break in. All issues reported to LA Fitness Corporate months ago by a number of members. No changes. It appears LA Fitness put all their money into their new facility in Pompano Beach and isn't willing to invest in this one. Changed gyms and go to the Zoo.

Great instructors and the building smells much better. Machines are a little old but work well.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Came in on a guest pass, I wanted to check out the gym to see if I would like it. The only checking out of the gym I received was a tour, they are obviously all about getting people to join as they should be, but the way they are going about it is ridiculous, first and foremost allow customers to experience the gym themselves BEFORE you try to sell on a membership, hence the reason a GUEST PASS is provided, secondly DONT WASTE 30 mins of a GUEST time with all the information you can provide to the guest after their work out! I am positive any customer would be compelled to join the gym if they feel its what they are looking for in a gym. With that being said and for wasting my time this reconfirms why i absolutely hate LA Fitness and their OLD EQUIPMENT

This place is a dump. LA fitness should be ashamed to keep this place open. 90% of the cardio machines are rusted and most of the heart rate handgrips don’t work because the rusted metal has blown out the handgrips. It should be a crime that they are still taking money from members and not replacing the equipment. I wouldn’t be surprised if someone cut their hand on any of those hand grips with the rusted metal coming through. The only reason I gave this 1 star is because you can’t leave a review without having at least one star.

Great service a little crowded at times but all in all a great place to manage weight and gain muscle

I don't know how long this place is open but needs a really full remodeling. Machines are OK but seems like always some in "service". Sauna and bathrooms are old. I think they should invest instead of just opening a new venue e not taking care of the old ones.

People seem to workout and do their thing. The place send a little run down and doesn't really come off as an LA fitness.

Very communicable staff and a new great remodeled trainer area makes for a fun workout and sweaty down time!
