LA Fitness, North Miami Beach FL

As of 6/23/20.lots of members not wearing face masks and the staff is not enforcing it.
Lots of cleaning supplies available but not everyone is cleaning after themselves after a workout.
Showers are closed, so you can even shower.
If you ever call.don't expect anyone to pickup!
I gave it two stars because the gym itself is "Meh. "

SEEN LIKE MANAGER IS NOT DOING HIS OR HER JOB

Never, never, never give them your credit or debit card number.
Even when you cancelled your membership with them, they will continue to charge you fees.

La Fitness, you are unprofessional

We had an unfortunate situation going on with the costumer service of the LA fitness North Miami location in Florida.
Me and my sister both are LA fitness members since we moved to Florida 2 years ago (before that we were loyal costumers in CT as well).
We both had the unfortunate to get very ill and become sick in the current situation of the world, my sister called and asked to cancel her membership by the phone and the lady on the phone understand her situation that she is unable to come to the gym personally and cancel, she helped her out and cancelled by phone without any problems.
The next day I have called and asked to cancel my membership as well since I am sick and can’t come to the gym, thinking they will be helpful and understanding as before, they refused to do that, being very rude, didn’t want to understand my situation, got me in to a very uncomfortable situation and panic attack (I have problems with breathing, it’s one of the symptoms of my illness). We have try to talk to the manager (his name as I recall was John), he refused to help and said that I have to come or do it via sending a mail to the main office. I understand the policy but there are exceptions, specially when a person is sick and have to stay home quarantined for the moment. Non of the ppl at the La fitness costumer service helped us, just kept sending us back forward to different managers that promised to call back but never did.
I am horribly disappointed with the lack of service and the ability to help a loyal member of this facility.
I will never be a member of a place that are behaving with extreme disregards and lack of sympathy.

I am so glad it is still opened. It is very clean and all the members are wearing masks and cleaning up. The staff is also cleaning, and making sure we all follow the guidelines. I am very proud to be a member of the LA fitness family

Gym is ok, but this week I was mistreated by one of the employees. Miguel was very rude when approaching me to give some information about mask use. I know it’s his job to inform people but there are many different ways to put it and he did it on the worst as possible. As a new member of the gym I’ll avoid going back to this location.

Good gym love the machine's but way too overcrowded. Maybe they should build another one close by to this location. Might help spread people out.

First thing. ONE hand sanitizer dispenser on the entire floor. It’s empty.
Second. Equipment is mostly very old and many things just did not work.
Third. Very crowded even at 11: 00am on weekdays.
Finally, it’s hot as hell in there.
I have multi club, multi state membership. This is the single worst I’ve been to.

I went in to try the gym out with a guest pass and they had me stand at the desk for 30 minutes waiting for a SPECIFIC person to activate my pass. Because apparently no one else knows how to do it.
Horrible customer service. Stick to Planet ffitness. WAY cheaper and the customer service is quicker and MUCH more helpful.

All around bad. From the moment you walk in you can tell this place is a nightmare- clients fighting with staff in the lobby, nobody ever manning the reception desk, the list goes on. Do yourself a favor and skip it.

One of my favorite LA Fitness locations. Sometimes the bathrooms are dirty. And I don't recommend going in to the pool. But other than that its pretty nice location.

Very friendly staff, non judgmental gym. I’ve been working out here consistently for about 5 years now.

Honestly never been the type to leave reviews but this customer service is beyond ridiculous! Their own general manager Jose Cruz opened my account yet managed to over charge me since October 2017 I’ve have not got it fixed nor received the refund he promised. Mind you I’ve gone over 3 times in person. Tried speaking to someone else & in their own words “there isn’t anyone above him”
Absolutely unacceptable for such a large company. Please save yourself the trouble and go elsewhere.

The gym is nice but alot of people who workout there just book the machines with there group and never finish sometimes I see group of people who know each other with there own music speakers for 30 minutes on one machine and the weight no one return anything I think the managment should do something about that before it's to late

The manager Jose is extremely rude he don't care about nothing but money be careful what you sign up for when you get to that gym because they don't tell you the whole story and honestly it's not worth the price

I stopped my membership after a year. Group instructors are overweight. The gym is packed, long lines to get to equipment. The TV is always on in the kids’s room and the nannies gave my one-year old a mobile phone! When I tried to complain the manager yelled at me.

My last time at the gym they had no paper towels no toilet tissue and no soap in the showers In the men's locker room. This is not the 1st time this situation has occurred when asked the staff they replied the order was not Done properly By management

The facility itself and equipment are great. The problem is with how many people are in this gym at one time. I have to wait 30 to 60 minutes to get on anything when i walk in the gym. In 2 hrs i may get on 3 machines unless i go at 6am after that its insanely packed. They need to expand the facility or open another location. Im about to cancel my membership because of this, its absolutely out of control how packed this location can get.

This gym is packed even during its “downtime”, it finally has WiFi though after ages. Machines are in good condition but my argument is that there are some old ones that need to be replaced. Cardio machines have been needing replacement for a while. The free weight area is seriously small for the amount of people who go this gym, feels like jungle. Verdict: gym is not big enough for volume of people, quality is subpar.

Very dirty, specially the pool. Sales guy will try to rip you off. Broken machines for weeks. Planet fitness even better thab this gyn for ten bucks per month.
