Mel's Diner - Cape Coral reviews
36I had not been there before. I loved the variety of the food and it was very good. I was extremely impressed. I will be back.
Food was really good, service (Storm, yes that's her name) was great.time spent with friends priceless!
My husband and I went there for breakfast on Saturday morning. It was a bad experience the food was not good for one thing if you are going to serve cheese grits you should incorporate them into the grits and not drop cold shredded cheese on top of them. My husbands plate looked like his food was just thrown on there. He ordered potatoes and received 3 little pieces of potatoe. We will not be back.
This place is absolutely fantastic, a hidden gem! Menu is fantastic, you can get basically anything your heart desires. Retro feel! Will definitely return again and again!
We were from out of town on vacation. Our AirBnB host recommended Mel’s Diner for dinner one night, and we really enjoyed our meal. Their menu has a broad range of options, and each meal starts with delicious fresh rolls and butter for the table. The crab cake dinner was fantastic and the Chicken Mac & Cheese was great. We also really enjoyed our fried pickles appetizer. Our server, Tara, was wonderful and the owner made a point to speak to us before we left. Mel’s is definitely a local favorite and many customers were greeted by name. Highly recommend.
Excellent go to diner. Terrific out of this world prices attentive services. We always bring the family here for some great salmon and meatloaf and drinks and then take the kids and us right near to menchies in ne pine island rd to enjoy a delicious just like ice cream but with less calories treat frozen yogurt there. We love mels diner
Loved it, we were a party of 12. Barely waited to be seated. Waitress was super great and friendly. Highly recommend. Waitress was Kayln
Slow service and luke warm food. It was not busy and took for ever to get waited on and het our food. Mel's has lost their fast ball.
Went to Mel's diner for breakfast this morning, had Mel's platter which is a delicious fluffy biscuit covered in sausage gravy, 2 eggs over medium well and hash browns for $7.99.their biscuits and gravy are fantastic and the whole meal was great. Gator was my server and he is a fantastic server very attentive to your needs and he's on the spot. I highly recommend Mel's for breakfast if you want good food done right the only downside to mel's platter is they don't serve enough gravy, it makes the biscuits rather dry
Fabulous home cooking Cafe. Wonderful service, huge portions
My grouper sandwich was amazing. We will come back again
Horrible service, messed up my whole order, when we called back to speak to manager we were told there's "no manager working and to deal with it" we will NEVER order from here again.
Ordered breakfast my husband's food was very salty it was sausage gravy and the home fries
My husband ate it
This is an excellent diner. It's not fine dining, but it is everything and more that one can expect from a diner- broad menu choices, typically well prepared at economical prices, with daily specials. Well managed and good service. My wife and I come here frequently.
Weather it's breakfast, lunch, or dinner. You just can't find a better deal than you will at Mel's. The staff is always friendly and the atmosphere brings you back home, and the food takes you to heaven.
Best diner on the cape. Fun atmosphere. Great menu and good prices. Gracie is the best waitress ask for her you won't be disappointed.
By far one of my favorite restaurants in the area! Staff will do "whatever it takes" to make your experience a good one. Food is reasonably priced, service is good, environment is clean. It's "comfort" food. My favorite is the Buckwheat pancakes with real butter and real maple syrup - reminiscent of my childhood. They also have fresh squeezed orange juice - YUM! Highly recommend if/when you're in "town".
The prime rib was juicy and tender, sweet potato could have been cooked a little longer, service was great
Awesome ribs. I never eat a whole rack but it's so good you just keep going. Best I've had so far. Waiter was very friendly and the food didn't take long to come out despite they were busy
Love this place, awesome staff, friendly and well organized. The host great too, remembers folks and is very helpful!
Mels has great food, excellent service and exceptionally good prices. One cant yo wrong with Mels! I don't eat much fried food, yet the all you can eat fish dinner is excellent. Flaky, light fresh fish that tempts the most avid anti fry foodie.
