My Cousin 's mom was admitted, since she has chronic GI issues.she received wonderful care and was d/c in a timely manner.she also indicated that she wish the hospitals in Puerto Rico, were like Here in Fla.but only time will tell. Thank you to the Doctors and Nurses.

Best exsperience ever. We had our baby here. The nurses are top notch who exemplify critical care knowledge of mommy and baby. They are so compassionate and nice. The food is yummy the hospital staff make you feel at home. The facility it new and beautiful and clean. Highly recommend to have your baby here. It was fast great care and quiet.

I went to the oviedo Er last night having a hard time breathing very congested and miserable triage nurse amazing but once I got in the back I was having more difficulty breathing I asked for a breathing treatment from 3 or 4 different people and never got one I saw my nurse once in a 3 hour visit no chest x-rays nothing. Hoping this helps someone.

I had a terrible experience. First time I came here I had out of state insurance. I asked the nurse if they accepted it before I let them see my child. The nurse said yes and I receive a huge bill!
I arrived another time for an emergency. I was the only one there with a baby. He needed stitches and I first took him to the pediatrician. The pediatrician recommended surgical glue but didn’t have it. I took my child here but then the ER decided he needed stitches. I waited 4 hours! They put numbing stuff which burns and the baby fell asleep. The nurse said it lasts for 25 min so they should’ve been back. Over an hour maybe 2 hours pass, the baby is up and crying and the numbing agent is worn off, now they had to cause unnecessary pain and give the baby a needle to numb him! When I looked in the hallway, there was the PA and Dr (because I had a second opinion) both doing nothing while my baby is sitting here crying! Dr. Alexander was so nasty to me! He scolded me when I asked him why it was taking so long. He said you have to wait and told me about his other patients then said “it’s not my fault your pediatrician didn’t want to stitch him up! ” I have never been treated so poorly or disrespected by a doctor, ”. Some of the nurses are so sweet so i feel bad they have to work with him! This Dr seems stressed out and mentally cannot handle his job to treat a patient like this! 4 hours is unacceptable. I asked to speak to the medical Director who had to do the stitches because the PA Dr. J and Dr Alexander neglected their duty and failed to take care of my son, his patient! There was and is no plastic surgeon or pediatrician and no crib for the baby which is crazy! It is sad because this ER is close by and new but as you can see from many reviews.they are not so good!

I had such an AMAZING experience at the memorable beginnings unit at the Oviedo Medical Center. The name is truly what it is. My nurse when I arrived was Keyleigh she was awesome. She made my family and I feel very comfortable, she would give us updates, checked in often to see if we needed anything and if everything was ok. If I had any questions she would answer them. Dr. Fu was the doctor who was also there when I arrived he was also the best. When I was ready to deliver the staff that came on was just as amazing. At the arrival of their shift they jumped right in and started coaching me. This was my first experience of a natural birth NO EPIDURAL. I honestly appreciate nurse Jodie and Rebecca for helping me through this because I was in so much pain but having them and my family around made things a bit easier. Aside from the staff that assisted with my delivery the nurses that took care of my daughter and I during our stay was outstanding. Everyone checked in and when I buzzed came right away, happy to help or answer any questions. I felt more like a guest than a patient. It’s a friendly environment, lots of smiling faces, everyone looked happy to be there and loved what they do. They even had a beautiful dinner set up for my husband and I the following day. The room was very spacious and clean. The same room you deliver in? Stay in with your baby. I like the fact that you don’t have to change rooms. I would recommend Oviedo medical Center memorable beginnings to anyone I know having a baby because I had a great experience from the time I entered the unit until the day I left.

I went into the ER for a multitude of symptoms for a condition I have previously been diagnosed with. Within the first 20 minutes of being admitted, a nurse came into the room with the wrong paperwork to discharge me before any of the tests that were ordered were completed. I laughed it off, but later after sitting there for over an hour I had to remind the nurse that the urine sample was completed and that no one has done the blood work or taken my vitals. I explained to the nurse that I had been experiencing fevers and chills at night and my temperature spikes throughout the day, she still did not take my temperature and waited until an hour after I took Tylenol and 20 minutes before they discharged me to do so. When taking my blood, I explained that doctors almost never have been able to get the veins in my arm to work and always use my hand. She insisted that they were uncorrected and pointed out two veins she could use in my arm. When the first one blew, she still insisted in using my other arm instead of my hand. In that arm she stuck me twice and both times had to wiggle the needle in my arm before accepting that the blood wouldn't come out. During the process she kept making comments that my veins weren't cooperating and that I was giving them trouble which were incredibly uncomfortable. Her comments, while intentionally harmless, made me feel worse about the situation. I explained numerous times that she shouod use my hands for the blood, that other hospitals have had to, she insisted that she knew what she was doing and when it didn't work made comments that my veins were giving them trouble. Instead of listening to me, she stuck me three times and wiggled the needle in my arm. All of the unnecessary discomfort could have been easily avoided. I understand that she has to try to use higher up in the arm, but after speaking to a nurse at a different hospital I was told that if the patient informs the nurses that their arms have given trouble in the past that it is protocol to start with the hands. She had to send in a male nurse, who was one of the three employees that made the experience not completely horrendous. While discussing my symptoms, I expressed my concerns over a misdiagnoses that occurred 3 years prior that put my life at risk and how the doctor that misdiagnosed me explained that CT scans can miss things part of the time. Instead of being compassionate towards my concerns, the nurse responded back condescendingly that it is not possible and she has been a nurse for five years and she's never heard of that. It is clear that she did not listen to the symptoms I was describing, the sheet they sent me home with a list of symptoms to look out for and if they occur to return back. I went into the ER with 8 out of the 10 symptoms. 10/10 would not recommend. While there is some good staff members, if you're stuck with the bad ones they will not communicate properly with the rest of the staff and will not listen to your concerns and symptoms.

Went to ER with pain in back. Was told that I had pneumonia and was prescribed antibiotics and released. A week later I had to return due to the ER due to being very sick. After insisting many times to ER staff that there was something very wrong with me they did a scan and found that I had large blood clots in my lungs and leg. The CT scan cost $19k. The nursing staff for the hospital stay were nice but lacked communication with the doctors and missed communicated a lot of critical information.

This is the worst emergency room ever. Oviedo Fire department keep telling me to give them a chance. I have given these idiots many opportunities to help my family and each time it turns out to be a failure. About 15 minutes ago, I drove myself to these stupid place and walked up to the window for help while experiencing chest pain. The stupid idiot at the window gave me a clipboard and told me to complete the paper and have a seat. Please do not go to these idiots, your life will be in danger. On tomorrow, I will be calling the Governors office to file an official complaint. I left and drove to ORMC in Longwood. I wouldn't take my dog to see these idiots.

I made it to Orlando Health Emergency Room who asked me what was my reason at the hospital and immediately begin to assess my pain. I'm glad there is another hospital who has well trained staff to take care of you. I'm admitted to Orlando Health hospital to make sure I'm not having a heart attack. Oviedo medical center is a horrible place.
