Tampa fine dining at its best with fresh seafood, excellent service from a seasoned staff where many have been around for years and years and an outstanding view of the bay.

Service was excellent. We tipped our waiter well. Very disappointed. I ordered the seafood trio. They only give you one 1/2 dollar size scallop two medium shrimp and a lobster tail with absolutely no flavor. The drinks were delicious. But food was not very impressive. Would not go back for dinner, but would go back for drinks.

We wanted great food with a great view and Oystercatchers delivered to perfection! I had a hard time picking between the lobster gnocchi and the Kung Pao whole snapper so we got both and shared The lobster bisque was incredible!

Literally the best service, food, and everything. I have never had such amazing food and really prompt service. The mac and cheese is the best I have ever had. I had the whole yellow tail and I regret nothing, I ate the whole thing. You’ll spend $200 but you’ll not find a better meal in Tampa, I swear. Finish it off with a true Smokey ol’ fashion for a real night topper.

This is a great spot. I would not consider this a hotel restaurant at all. Everything about my experience was great. I had the short ribs and eggs and it could not have been more delicious. The eggs were perfectly cooked, the meat fell apart easily and the potatoes were cooked perfectly. The presentation was great. The seasoning on everything wasn’t overpowering and gave such a fair and even taste. The atmosphere was enjoyable. I sat outside but the inside was a little too cold. Wait staff were very professional and made sure my accommodations were met

You will need a reservation if you want to be served by a server and not the bar staff and you want to sit somewhere besides the bar or outside and you will need to do your reservation at least 4 weeks in advance. If you sit in the bar be prepared to have people in bathing suits walking past your date. I did not see anybody in bathing suits or shorts in the actual dining room but there was definitely a lot of extremely overly casual activity in the bar and outside area. As far as the food it was absolute perfection. I know of no other restaurant that provides smoked salt. The butter is from Vermont and absolutely delicious to go on the bread and they bring three different types of bread with your meal. The bread was warm as well. I had the tuna and requested it rare as it is suggested to be rare and I could not ask for it to have been better in fact it was a 5 out of five stars for the food. My date had the seafood trio and it was also perfection however the bar staff waiter did not bring drawn butter and we had to request it.long and the short don't sit where you're going to be waited on by the bar staff otherwise it will reduce your otherwise great experience. Third visit today's date 6/3/23, we went at noon on a Friday and it seemed like they had lots of availability for seating and we got a nice table by the windows and the waitress was on the money with perfect service I ordered the short ribs and she was able to trade out the fries for salad with the salad was wonderful and short rib was okay it comes with eyes you and I recommend plenty of it because the meat was somewhat dry for $28 I would have ordered something else. The people that I went with were impressed it does smell wonderful because they have the smoked wood smell coming out of the chimney
Save your money and order something a little less expensive on the menu because you're paying for the atmosphere mostly and the good service.

Waiter is not friendly.lobster roll and oyster are rotten. Smell real bad I have to spit it out. I have eaten raw oyster and lobster roll all over the u.s. And trust me the lobster are freezer burn. I hate to say it. But I pay and walk out. I just wish they know lobster and oyster are extremely bad not supposed to serve to customers.

I've been to Oystercatchers many times over last 10 years. The last time we had a family dinner there, I couldn't have enough of their fried calamari. It is soooo good. The service was impeccable.

We went out to get something to eat because we were hungry 2 hours after dinner. The margarita was excellent the best I have ever had, the food portions were a bit surprising.
Our waiter made the experience very pleasant and we will return again.

The views are incredible, looking out over the bay waters. Our meals were all good; I enjoyed the snapper special, they took care to make my GF's tuna melt gluten and dairy free, and the lobster roll looked great. It was quite cool (AC on full) and I should have ordered an appy as I was still hungry. Our server was quietly attentive, which was perfect for our business discussion. I'd go back to try dinner.

The oysters come out looking dirty and tasted so bad, so not fresh. Lobster roll smell very fishy, not right. Service unsatisfied

A high-end hotel restaurant that does get busy. We made reservations just to be safe and it did get fairly busy the Sunday night we went.

Overall the food was good. They had some interesting options such as a caviar menu, but the rest of the food on the menu seemed mostly straight forward seafood dishes. From the recommendation of the server I had their whole fish which was the entire fish with the head on. It was good.

This place really doesn’t deserve one star ️. Reason being I order the trio seafood consisting of 1 small baby lobster tail, 1 scallop, and 2 shrimp for $68.00. That is ridiculous for the small portions and something that didn’t even taste good. The Chef needs to upgrade or change his menu because it’s obviously not working. For a high end hotel such as the Hyatt myself and my husband celebrating our anniversary expected something much more satisfying to the palate. The quality of the food and the portions didn’t match the price. We’ve dined at other high end restaurants that taste way better. Get it together Oyster Catchers or you will not be catching anymore customers with those fake old pictures you list on your website.

If you're looking for an upscale Florida dining experience, this is a excellent choice. Located right on the Gulf, this restaurant offers beautiful water views and delicious seafood choices.

Great food one of the best seafood restaurants in Tampa. Was there for mother's day and it was great! My family's favorite restaurants to go to for sure! Don't miss out on this gem. Doc says go here for sure.

Great food with an unbeatable view! This is one of our favorite places in Tampa and the excellent food and amazing service keep us coming back!

Was here for a business dinner and everything about the evening was excellent. Our waiter made great recommendations and he was spot on the pork shank was delicious. Also they have the most unique and tasty calamari that I have ever had.

What happened to this place? Everytime i come here, it gets worse. Ordered the $44 Grouper with the capers and olive timpenade and it came with neither? (Just deliver it like you describe it on the menu). They also said they couldn't blacken it.it's SW Florida, figure it out man! Very disappointing.

6 of us (all family) had a lunch reservation. Our server was terrible. Did not want to take our drink order until the 2 other party members arrived. She was also passive aggressive and was visibly annoyed when my family would not stop their conversation to hear her talk about the butter. My brothers food came with a hair which is not that big a deal but coupled with the fact that the food was only so so and I had to get up and find somebody to refill our drinks after waiting 20 minutes. I would not recommend this place as their as better value options. Also the waitress split our bill but did not tell us that gratuity was included so subpar service got way above average tip.

A great place to eat on the beach. Outdoor and indoor seating. The service was nice. The burger was cooked to order. Relaxing and enjoyable.
