Oystercatchers, Tampa FL

This was our first visit to Oystercatchers and had been wanting to try it for several years and just never did. I can’t imagine ever wanting to go back after a very disappointing experience for brunch. The service was good, not great, but the food was very bad and not what we had expected. We started with the calamari fries with peppers. This was the best thing he had, but even the calamari was a bit tough. Then my wife ordered the Crabcake Benedict. This obviously sat in the kitchen for a good while as the hollandaise had a film over it like it was drying out. The crab cakes were super small and the English muffin was stale. I ordered the Crab and Lobster Omelet and this was the worst thing we ordered. The eggs were rubbery and flavorless. The crab and lobster tasted bitter and had an awful vinegar taste. The potatoes were ok but I was not a fan of the red sauce that was all over it. The complimentary pastries were also pretty good. I do not recommend this place and won’t be in a hurry to get back there.
