Park Royal Hospital reviews
24Keeps you safe if you're suicidal and that's about it. Food is cold and terrible. Doctors are mostly absent regarding treatment. They seem to prescribe the same meds to everyone.
I am writing this to warn anyone who is thinking of going into Park Royal Hospital, DON'T! PLEASE! I was taken into Park Royal after making a phone call asking for someone to talk to, not saying I wanted to hurt myself or anyone else, just talk. I was arrested and taken to four different places due to the fact that I have a terminal disease and my health is really bad, I cannot walk without a cane so they put me in a wheelchair. These people told me I would see a doctor twice a week or more, a phsycologist 2 to 3 times a week. I was there 12 days and I saw a phsycologist twice and a doctor maybe 4 times. The nursed called me names, the techs forced me to a room full of people and dumped me out of the wheelchair to the floor and proceeded to stuff food into my mouth because I could not eat the cafeteria food, all the while the people in the room laughed and said extremely demeaning things to me. I was made to believe that I was dead and the nurses ignore you constantly. The real problem from what I could tell was that nurses feel they are not respected and are mistreated and this is the place they can do anything they want to you and get away with it. If I truly had any real mental issues I assure you I would have gone home and killed myself for what they did to me. This was in January of 2020 and it is now September and I am still having horrible nightmares and flashbacks from that d.place!
I am so thankful that I was admitted to Park Royal. I learned so much from the classes. I took it extremely seriously. They were interactive and actually fun.
The social workers, medical team-Dr. Alene, pharmacist and even the food service staff were very helpful.
Thank you to everyone, Jane Flanders
I love the aftercare Park Royal does for you after inpatient stay. The staff are all wonderful. The IOP and PHP have helped me tremendously you get to warn so much. Not just about medication help, but coping with life. Best part is you will have knowledge of so many tools to use for helping yourself, which is so empowering! I highly recommend coming here even if you didn't do inpatient. This place really does care and help. Feeling comfortable at therapy is important and they never judge. The therapists are truly genuine. Very welcoming! Victoria, Samantha, and their sweet front desk receptionist Cynthia are wonderful people!
Do not *ever* set foot in this hospital. The psychiatrist in charge Dr Demayo will mess up your meds so much, it's been almost 6 months since my discharge and I am still dealing with the aftermath of the mess she created. She's not interested in your input or opinions, either. Consultations last 3-4 minutes and you're send on your way frustrated beyond measure. I agree with the reviewer that said this place should shut down and the atrocities that happen inside have to be investigated. This is absolutely NO PLACE for someone in crisis to be. (I couldn't give 0 stars)
I had a very goid experience here. I was given my maintenance medications as well as like 3 hours of therapy a day. The food was tasty and the staff werent any meaner or crueler than they are at other similar places. If anything their age made them more relatable. They even offer 30 day rehabilitation if you want/need it.
The Park Royal facility has provided many of my close friends and family members the much need help they desperately deserved. Each one of them had said how friendly the staff was also that it was a calm & peaceful environment. This place has made an impact on my loved ones and I would highly recommend to anyone who may be in need of help.
My granddaughter is now in the intense outpatient program. She has never done so well. Her insurance (Staywell), will only cover 2 weeks. Now what? Relapse, back to square one? I hope not. Any ideas, PLEASE
I am appalled that they discharged me without enough medication (that their doctors prescribed, and my body was just getting used to) to last me until I can find another doctor to continue them! Absolutely appalling! I'm so disgusted.
From the time you walk in the front door the receptionist is very polite and friendly.
That's a silage I is very clean and spotless.
Visiting a loved one at the facility the staff was very friendly and very helpful. I couldn't say enough good things about park Royal
Horrible criminal abuse of human beings in need of medical treatment. Law suits can not mend the damage done by these sadistic, greedy, narcissistic creaps. Don't let loved ones suffer this traumatic experience. The department of public health, NAMI advocates and the ACLU need to investigate and close down this barbaric institution.
Terrible, terrible place to be. It is like a jail, not at all like a hospital. Many people are disharged worse off rhan when they went it.
I am a former patient here with a lifetime of mental health issues. I checked myself into Park Royal’s outpatient program in April of 2017 with substance abuse and mental health issues. The staff was nothing but caring and attentive to my needs. I highly recommend this facility to anyone in need of help. Happy to report I am still sober and on my meds due to the help I was given at Park Royal.
I will discuss the habits of a certain employee (s). They're the one (s) who will have a reckoning. Using a step-on-anyone mentality just to climb the corporate
Jacob's ladder. These sniveling brown nosers would attempt to sell their own mothers for a position that can promise authority. Like a menacing cancer they keep infecting you with their passive aggression and ignoramos suggestions. Why not allow people the equal rights they themselves nepotistically attained?
THANK Y'ALL FOR THE KRAZY BRILLIANT WAY Y'ALL FOUND TO SPONSOR THE WINK NEWS TO SHOW YOUR LOVE. AND BELIEF IN ME. TELL DR. RODRIGUES. JESUS FATHER THE HOLY GHOST AND ME LOVE ALL OF Y'ALL I DONT MISS U THOUGH CUS IF I DID I WOULD HAVE TO COME BACK AND SEE YOU OR I WOULD BE BREAKING THE LAW OF GOD
My mother is a retired registered nurse and could not believe the way people were being treated there. No structure, no common sense
. Once again it's dangerous to have a health issue in sw Florida.
Stolen Property. Poorly run Facility. Everyone was running a muck through the halls. The Doctor was extremely over worked. The staff is unprofessional. They pumped every medicine they had on hand with no regard to the health or mind of individual. It reminds me of old state hospitals that were shut down for using people for experimental therapy and abuse. Collectively we should start a lawsuit against this Mental Health Facility.
Terrible place my nephew was baker acted, and he was supposed to be released after 3 days. He was there almost a week with the same clothes. Then my sister took him some clothes to change, but they wouldn't give it to him.
This place should be shut down. They tell the family one thing and lie to the patients face. They are supposed to provide the patient with meds at a scheduled time and fail to even do that. There are some good staff that seem to care but the bad far out weigh the good. I hope I never have to have another family member in the shithol. Not a hospital more like jail that milks you insurance all they can before you can be released.
My "doctor" has to schedule my appts with Baker Act Brutality by Police Force.
Last two visits of 8 and 9 days were assisted by the Public Defender requesting releases. The bruises were no longer visible. Medical histories were not received by staff.
The Doc stated Christians hear things upon my forced incarceration.
One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest has modern characters.
The place should not be called a hospital or receive benefits.
