Safelite AutoGlass reviews
21 5-Stars for the location, 1-Star for the "Company", that's 3-star overall. Right?
I had a rock crack my windshield, waited, it got bigger, you know the story. I get around to getting it fixed, do some shopping around and Safelite has everyone beat by a mile.
Set up appointment, get a coupon, arrive 20 minutes early, boom they get me in 15 minutes early to a 2-hour slot. Wham bam, they kick it out a whole hour early! Sweet!
Looks good, centered, clean and clear. Go easy 24-hours yadda yadda. No wind noise. Perfect.
Two days later, try to use windshield fluid sprayer. They forgot to hook it back up after putting the cowling back on, and all the clips are broken and need replacing.
No big deal, I'll just call them up, tell them, they so good it CAN'T be a problem. But I'll tell you, when you go for your install, get the lady's direct number. By the time I spoke to 37 robots, answered the same questions over and over, looked up at LEAST 5 different numbers trying to get a person at the place and not an off site call center or a robot I was ready to bust out my new windshield and everything breakable thing in site.
For a 5 minute, $2.99 fix I spent 2 hours on the phone over an 8 hour period. I was so mad and frustrated I didn't even know what to say to the lady, SHE didn't do anything wrong, or the people there. They just forgot to hook up a hose, and didn't replace 10 year old plastic clips that were sure to break.
I yelled for a few minutes, she was too nice and professional, but stern and not spinless in return. I apologized (sort of) after trying to express my frustration. She told me to have a good day, and I fixed it myself.
For the money you'll save and the ACTUAL service, go there. Just be sure and get the card from the manager and skip the "Company" phone disaster.
Or might just be me. ️
