Never complain about establishments [check my history] but this one is terrible. Currently the office isn't answering the phone unless you are someone calling to lease. Tried calling for two days and emailed and couldn't get help.

As a resident, i had to call from a number they don't have in their system to get them to pick up lol. The new manager [Taylor] seemed nice but she also fell right into the culture of this place. Disappointed

DONT DO IT. SAVE YOUR MONEY, AND TIME WORST PLACE TO GO FOR.
I wish that I could give negative star to this community. Worst communication, worst front desk staff to talk with. Everything is worst about this apartment. Please don’t go for this one please.

It wasn't an option to give a 0 star else i would have given it. The worst community one could ever think of moving. Nobody gives a response you keep calling them the whole day. After a month long process of finalizing the lease and signing it they assured us for moving in on 30th august. Now, we called the leasing office and there is this person name THAIS who very arrogantly said that they wont be giving the apartment on the 30th and we ‘may’ get the apartment on the 7th september, that too without a surity. We were also told that we could do anything we want till then and they dont care about it at all. We are absolutely stuck as we are international student and dont have enough money to sign to lease this immediately somewhere else.
We are trying to go with a legal way right now with the huge uncertainty to where we would go after 2 days.

I just moved into Sunstone Palms and my experience was tiring.

I first applied to live in a 1br townhouse. Understanding that CoVid-19 has prevented from being able to actually tour the grounds, I did a video call with a lovely leasing agent Jordyn.

Honestly the best part of my experience was getting the unit I wanted and speaking to Jordyn.

1st: I had it planned to move in on the 20th of June, they asked me to move-in earlier because it would be cheaper on me and they threw in those necessities like 150$ off rent this month and 200$ gift card (which I have yet to receive). Then I get my keys and everything and the apartment is NOT the one we spoke about on the phone that I was going to get. I was very upset, it hadn’t been cleaned and it smelled of old cigarette smoke and they told me that unit was MOVE IN READY.

2nd: I had already signed my lease for that unit before I was to see it (their policy, I tried to see it beforehand but they said no). And they wanted me to pay 2 months of rent to get out of a lease in a unit I never even lived or payed for! I had set up TECO, paid them alll the security deposits and everything.

Then Jordyn wanted to get me the unit that I wanted (or at least stay in my price range because they didn’t want to lose me as a tenant). So he additionally showed me a renovated 1 story 1br apartment which is again, not what I wanted!

Finally, I ended up paying more to get a fully renovated apartment (almost $300 more) and on top of that, I was set to move in on the 10th (a Tuesday) and that’s when I signed my lease for the first place and when I set up my TECO. They couldn’t get me my new unit until the 15th (next Monday) and I have been paying the TECO bill for BOTH APARTMENTS since the 10th. I implored them to pay the bill for the apartment I was supposed to be in from the 10th but they told me the apartment complex doesn’t pay its tenants.

TLDR; YOU WILL LOSE MONEY IF YOU MOVE IN HERE. Jordyn is the best Leasing Agent. Never settle and get a lawyer first if you plan on moving here!

I totally agree with many of the recent reviews given recently. This place is managed by a totally irresponsible and incompetent leasing office. If possible I would give negative stars. The staff is not reliable, there is a disconnect with communication, and no one seems to know anything. My leasing consultant was Axel Rivera and the Manager Ms. Gena have completely failed at doing their basic tasks for their customers. I have never been so stressed in my life and its because of all the unorganized staff in the leasing office, plus they don't answer their emails and phone calls. Save yourself, time, money and your sense of peace and chose to live somewhere else.

After all the hassle, I have finally moved out, if I could give this apartment complex negative stars, I would give a negative million stars. They do not deserve the star I gave them but I had to put something down to be able to post this review. The fact that I am even taking the time to write this review says something and I write it as a warning to others who might want to decide to live here. By far the worst place I have ever lived at, thanks to the leasing office staff. I have completed my leasing term and my biggest advice is to always have a copy of everything they give you and read read read! The contract of the apartment complex. The staff is not reliable, there is a disconnect with communication, and no one seems to know anything. Speak to the manager always, never to the employees. I have never been so stressed in my life and its because of all the unorganized staff in the leasing office, plus they don't answer their emails and phone calls. Save yourself, time, money and your sense of peace and chose to live somewhere else.

Reasonably well maintained affordable housing.predominantly usf students.not so cool neighborhood.but we'll secured inside.for leases thinks months ahead.specially before fall.sub leases available.look for public post.amenities and parking are reasonable.right outside USF bull bus stop.helps

I cant wait to move into my new home. To the application to the customer service was amazing. If you go to Sunstone Palms in Tampa, speak to Hector. He is the sweetest person there and will help to the best to his ability. My boyfriend and I was suppose to move in an apartment but it wasn't done so he helped us get another and we are moving on Saturday. The moving process was easy and my boyfriend and I are so happy.

Hector is an amazing employee with great customer service. He helped me with the application process. If anyone one goes there, ask for Hector. Even though I wasn't qualified, I wasn't disappointed because if the great customer service that was provided.

The leasing office was very accommodating. Hector made our transition so easy. The gated community around sunstone and the security guards surveying at night is our favorite part.

My only concern is the amount of dog feces that owners don't pick up every now and then.

But overall, our experience has been great so far! It is also a good location close to USF, (there's Bull runner bus right outside), and many shopping and eating choices less than 8 mins away!

I’m a new tenant moving from another state and the complex has been the best out of the 5 I was interested in. I called for information and Diana was amazing! She answered every question, walked me through application process and answered my many emails in a timely! Diana you are truly a God sent and relived the stress of doing a quick move! I look forward to my new home at Sunstone Palms.

Horrible service. I requested my stove and dishwasher to fix it. No one came to fix it until after 10 days I called the emergency and the guy fixed only the stove. It has been two weeks and still the dishwasher is not working. Now my AC is not working properly (the temperature is about 80 F) and I am sure no one will come even if I go to the office. I have been living here for almost five and half years and the service has never been so bad!

A pretty good living place for USF students. Gated and secured community with overnight courtesy officers. The pools were big and excellent, and the gym was 24/7, newly renovated and remodeled. There was a pond with lots of greens in the complex. Most of the apartments were old, however, and needed a lot of maintenances. The cockroaches were the pain in the ass. As for the price, it was fair and affordable.

Apparently the new gate card is $25 per person, which is too much, we as residents never asked you to change it from gate code to gate card, then how can you expect us to pay $25 for each card?
Moreover, since the change of your management, no one ever came for any repairs we requested or even for pest control spray.
With this bad service, how can you expect us to pay $25/person for just a card?
We are unhappy with your services.

We just moved to Tampa and Sunstone was the first apartment we looked at. We were fortunate enough to be helped by Vanity who helped us every step of the was and made the leasing process stress free. She was truly amazing and I would recommend her to anyone who is looking for a new home. The personalized experience that she gave made us select Sunstone from a choice of 5 other apartment complexes in Tampa. Thank you Vanity!

Have been living here for 2 years now. Was good initially. But lately due to multiple management changes, this place has become a joke. The new management (Radco) neither does any of the maintenance request, nor listens to any of our complains/concerns. (But apparently, they look at these reviews and leave a response)

The coustomer service was amazing. My tour guide was Ava Summers, she showed us every inch of the property and was amazing assisting us with the application process. The property was beautiful!

Was told I was approved and will receive a call back for deposit and moving date. I missed my move date as I was going to start a new job in Tampa and am still waiting for a call. I have reached out the the apartments several times and they never answer. You guys have completely wasted my time and my money.

I've lived here since 2009 and I must say I love how these apartments are near everything (Walmart, the mall, fast food restaurants, gas stations, shopping centers, banks, USF, bus terminal etc) the location is great and for the apartments itself I've had mostly a positive experience living here or else I wouldn't be living for almost 10 years. Throughout my years here 3 or 4 different companies have taken over the apartments. Its a gated apartment with 24 hour security guards at the front gate but this is a pretty safe, quiet apartment complex from my experience of living here. Only issue i have is that maintenance can be slow taking care of any issues you have inside your apartment but I understand this is a big complex and they get tons of work orders a day. The front office staff has always been great and helpful. A new company has recently taken over the apartments and now the outside appearance of these apartments has had a major upgrade. I would recommend these apartments to anyone but im only going by my experience of living here and i know others has had a bad experience living here but like i said I've been here for almost 10 years and i love it here.

THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. THEY DON'T RETURN CALLS WHEN THEY PROMISE TOO OR CARE ABOUT YOUR CONCERNS. I DO NOT RECOMMEND MOVING THERE IF YOU WANT A PEACE OF MIND.
