UPDATE: This month has been the most frustrating so far! I am moving out this Friday 3/9 and have a pro-rated rent for March. I was told I would be able to pay the pro-rated amount online on Thursday while in the office. Well Friday, Saturday, and today the amount due has been my full months rent. I have been in the office every day since Thursday and called multiple times (still with no answer) and emailed with "Please Respond ASAP" in the title and email and they never updated the amount. I went to the office again today to try and pay my rent and be done with it and they lady had the audacity to tell me I could come in with a check tomorrow (Monday 3/5) and pay but there would be a $100 late fee. HOW IS IT MY FAULT YOU DIDN'T ALLOW ME TO PAY MY RENT ON TIME?

I told her absolutely not I will not pay the late fee. She said most people just pay the full amount and wait for a refund check. I'm sorry I am not going to pay an extra $500 dollars and wait 4-6 weeks to get my money back when I am in the middle of moving out of state. She then said if I returned with in five minutes with a personal check she would take it. Upon filling out the check and handing it to her she said, "Well my assistant manager is gone for the day so I'm not sure if she is going to assign the late fee. We closed at 5pm and will be open from 9-6pm tomorrow, come back then. Let's go. " and forced me out the door. I reiterated that I am not going to pay a late fee for the office's mistake and she simply stated she wasn't going to argue with me and that I should come back tomorrow. WHAT ELSE COULD I HAVE DONE? I called, emailed, and showed up multiple times to resolve the issue and I have records of everything. I am so shocked by the behavior of the staff at this complex now. Three years and it has done nothing but go down hill.

ORIGINAL POST: I have lived in the same apartment for the past three years. For the first two years (when the complex was called University Club and then Cordova) I didn't have any issues. If something needed fixed I could call the office (they would actually answer) and the problem would be fixed same day or the next at the very latest. If the complex needed to do work/turn off water/enter the apartment, they gave me plenty of notice to make other arrangements as I work nights and am generally asleep during their working hours.

This past year with this complex under the management of Radco DBA Sunstone Palms I have had the worst customer service experience. Not only does the office NEVER answer the phone, but also I have had the upstairs apartment bathtub leaking into my tub for the past 4 months or so and have put in multiple work orders to get the issue resolved. Mind you I live in a one-one so it's not like I can just go to the guest bathroom and wait for them to have time to get to me.

This company is the complete opposite of both University Club and Cordova managers. I have had four different times where maintenance enters without any prior notice and wakes me at 8 or 9am when I had just gone to bed at 7am. No apologies or offers to come back later just "Well we have to fix this". I have also had at least 3 times that I have woken up to have my water off and remain off for an extended period of time, making getting ready, cooking, or even brushing my teeth before work a hassle. Even after multiple complaints nothing has changed. Just today maintenance came in at 10am and started rewiring the air conditioning unit while I was trying to sleep. After they left and I got up I found a mess all over the floor and a large hole in the kitchen where they were searching for wires. I'm extremely frustrated with this place and cannot wait to move in March.

Experience (writing my first apt review ever because it feels necessary) :

EXTREMELY DISORGANIZED TO A MAJOR FAULT and should not be renting until they get their stuff together.

Called to schedule a viewing and no one picked up during office hours so I came in. Was told I should have called to schedule a viewing. Temp goes to show me an apt. They have the wrong key and cant find it (the poor temp was very nice though). Leave and come back another day and they can't find the key for another apt. Leave and come back a third time the first key was wrong so they get maintenance to open the door.

Specifically asked for a remodel. Willing to spend extra for a nice apt. A few things were wrong with it but they said they would be fixed by the time we moved in (she was a temp too). We apply (we also were in a rush and a location was right) and were approved. Wait for them to email the lease and they never did. Called, they didn't pick up. Had to go to work late to go to office to get lease. Finally get lease signed, go to apt and it just snowballed from there.

Nothing was fixed:

Toilet didn't flush properly
Bath didn't drain properly (took 30 mins)
Patio screen was dismounted from patio
One screen was ripped
Another screen missing
New bathroom door knob came off the door
New towel holder came out of wall
Linoleum in kitchen ripped (probably from moving new fridge)
Outdoor closet shelf was rotted

All this by day three of the newly remodeled apt.

I felt like I had to harrass the office to fix my important problems (I didn't report all of that list). They say they are short staffed which is fine, ish happens but if they cant get a place right, they shouldn't rent to new people. I doubt my apt is an anomaly.

Anyway, I finally got most of my stuff fixed a week after my first of three updates to my maintenance order when I directly spoke to a maintenance guy. He fixed everything in about two days which was VERY much appreciated.

That being said I'm mentally exahausted, as of now I would not recommend anyone move here and I REALLY hope nothing else breaks for the rest of my 12 months here.

In short: They put a dress on a pig.

I WILL give them that I have yet to see a roach or ant. Hope that lasts.

The only reason I’m giving one star is because it’s required. We only moved in last Saturday but so far this has been the absolute worst experience I’ve ever had with an apartment. We are paying over $1200 a month for a two bedroom apartment that includes a washer and dryer. Since moving in, neither the washer or dryer has worked. I put in a ticket Monday, called the office and put another ticket in on Tuesday, sent an email on Wednesday, and still can’t use my washer and dryer. I requested that rent be adjusted for every day that the washer and dryer wasn’t fixed, only to be met with a nasty attitude, and was told that if I wanted to speak with someone else that I needed to walk over to the office and ask again. These people NEVER answer the phone, so don’t even bother. Worst customer service ever. And the apartments are not even that nice. We moved from out of state after my husband received a job offer here, so didn’t have much time to look around. I am hesitant to even unpack all of our boxes because I don’t see how I can stay in such a terrible place. Also, on Monday night management sent an email about how they are sealcoating the parking lot starting the next day and that certain people need to move their cars or be towed. So not even 24 hours notice and they are threatening to tow cars. This is just bad business and I am thinking of pursuing legal action if my situation isn’t taken care of. Either way, DO NOT MOVE HERE. Save yourself the time, money, and effort and find a a decent place. And I see that management likes to comment back on these posts about how they are so concerned and want to fix things, but do you ever actually do anything about it? Doubtful.

As of right now I am disappointed. They just don't call back. Trying to get an apartment online from out of state is difficult and frustrating. Poor customer service does not help. (I will update on my experience.)

The area is secured as its a gated community. It is very close to walmart, usf and university mall. Moreover, there is a bull runner and hart bus stop here. I have no idea about management as I am new here.

Ever since I moved in this apartment I’ve had nothing but issues. They have a termite issue that they do nothing about alone with roaches! I have a list of things that need to be taken care of in my apartment and I’m getting no where! Every manager that they hire states they will get my issues resolved and it never happens! I really regret moving into these apartments!

The best part of this apartment complex is that it's gated and there is security round the clock. Otherwise there seems to be a number of problems: parking space narrow, too many buildings, garbage overflow from dumpster etc. The new gym looked nice though.

Facilities are horrible. They were only concerned about there outer beauty of the apartment, does not even care about the maintenance inside the house (Carpets, Air conditioner, liking water, Refrigerator etc etc). I have complained so many times but no one has taken any action! The new staffs are horrible!

I'm up 12: 05am writing this review because I can't sleep. My A/C is broken and I've been trying to call the emergency maintenance number since 3: 00pm, it's just ringing without without an answer, it doesn't even give the option to leave a message. This is an emergency maintenance issue so just imagine how they respond to non-emergency maintenance issues. I moved in 2weeks ago, I already know it's going to be a long brutal 11months.

Spacious and very near from University Mall, Tampa. Pretty near to Hart Bus Station. Wal-mart is just like 5 mins walk from here.

This apartment complex certainly has its issues in regards to pest control (roach infestation) and resident communication. Price is absolutely way too steep for the amount of potential problems residents may run into which will never be adressed even after multiple attempts and requests made by residents to fix these issues. Alex is a great resource for any resident to use who may experience these issues.

A lovely place to be in. Everything is easy to reach. Walmart on the right and Umall in the left. When we moved in here we had 4 big luggages and this sweet friend Alex helped us carry it to our new apartment. So helpful he is. Whenever I need something I always ask for his help and he helps me with a big smile on his face. "He is always there " for anyone who needs his help. Lovely place to be in. Secured, and lively. Enjoying my stay here.

Alex is very informative, and while looking at different apartments it has been such a relief to find someone who cares and knows what he's doing. He is very knowledgeable of the property and the area and he made my experience at sunstone palms such an enjoyable one.
