I rate it a 0, I was taking my drivers test and the passenger was yelling at me when I was driving I do not recommend.

Went in yesterday at 10 to renew my registration for another 2 years and change address as a walk in and was out im less then ten minutes the quickest DMV experience I've even been through the lady's working there that helped me were very polite. Clean place with plenty of seats to keep socially distance.

Covid has affected this office severely a transfer that usually takes 20 mins its going on an hour and a half of wait now! I get the waiting outside to come in but also having to wait ridiculous amount of hours once inside is just adding insult to injury!

Maybe if I post here I can get a response, looks like this is more monitored than their phones. I tried to gorenew.com my plates and one of my tags say I have to contact an office. I've been trying for weeks, the phones have rang busy or some recorded message about being closed.but I can't seem to renew or get ahold of anyone to tell me why I can't. Is there some place else I can go or call?

Having recently moved here from out of state, I definitely appreciate how nice everyone is. However, they don't really do anything except tell you what you need to do in order to accomplish something such as changing your tag. In other states I have dealt with they do the title change. They also do vehicle inspections on the spot. If the DMV here had done anything other than hand me forms consistently on both occasions that I have visited, I would be more inclined to give a better review.

I entered the DMV, and I was greeted with a smile by the  staff up front. I sat down, and I had an expected wait time of approximately 45 minutes. They got me back in about 8 minutes. I received very fast service. Mrs. Daketa was very professional, and pleasant at the same time. All  staff that I interacted with were great! This is a 5 star DMV!

I just called to ask about renewing an expired tag. The clerk was very helpful and told me I was able to renew it over the phone. That was great news. I renewed and she said it would be out in the mail tomorrow. Thank you for making it super convenient!

Any day of the week, any time of the month, the wait takes forever. Absolutely ridiculous. They need more services to be available online to cut down on wait times.

I hope that no one else has to visit this location and deal with Lindsey when. She’s having a bad freaking day. Very rude! No one should have put her in a position to have any power over people. She should be shredding papers in some back room! Good luck!

There either incompetent because they don't know there own guidelines, or they discriminate intentionally.

Polk county at its best!

While the facility is an efficient design and relatively comfortable, and the staff, generally speaking are friendly given the job they have.
But practice the typically I have power over you, so I can make up, and rewrite the rules that suite me, type of governing power that we have all come to know real well.
Go somewhere else.

I am a hard working, tax paying citizen. It amazes me how our government treats those that pay taxes. And I dont think it is asking too much for the tax office to mail out tag registration invoices and or reminders. They surely mail out property tax invoices. To be told it is a curtousy is not the answer that needs to be given. That is what Joe Tedder trains his staff to say. That is not good customer service. It is their way of not being held accountable.

I may not quite understand all the ins and outs of this type of thing, but I think if you buy a tag 3 months before its time to renew, you should only pay for 3 months-not a full year. It doesn't seem right to pay for a whole year and then 3 months later when your birthday comes around to have to pay for another whole year. I think prorating this type of thing would be ideal-after all, the previous owner of the vehicle likely already paid you for a full year too.

Awful experience. Front desk old lady was a witch literally. Thought she knew her job but she didn't had me run clear back to the house for no dame reason.

3 star because it frustrates me that they close @5 but stop doing id's @4. Didn't make it, by a few minutes, twice. I'm a mother of 3 who runs around almost every afternoon.and works morning shifts. Between work-doctor appointments-and football practice I also have to rush to a place that closes an hour later. By the time I make it there it's too late. I strongly suggest, if you have to cut off Id printing time, atleast wait till 4: 30. I know I and many more would highly appreciate it.
