Tax Collector for Polk County, Davenport FL

The clerks need to be trained in DIVERSITY. I have been going here for the last 40 years. My daughter came to her appointment for her drivers permit. The Clerk was just plain rude! She really didn’t even want to talk to her! Why? Even when she passed the test, she ended up with the same clerk. What luck! My daughter called for me to come to the station! The clerk never acknowledge me or never said 1 word to me! I had to STAND all the time I was there. The way she treated and talked to my daughter was as though she really annoying her! When I started I to say something my daughter looked at me with tears and said Don’t say anything I walked out! What a terrible experience. You can contact me at anytime to discuss. This! Thanks!

I would like to recognize Mary in the mobile home tax department. She provided me with absolutely incredible service. She researched the issue I had, and when she could not contact the person required, she took my number. She called me back promptly and told me the issue was resolved. Was there 1 1/2 hours today and then was told my wait would be another 1 3/4 hours so I left and will try another day.

Computers were down a week ago. Came back to take HAZMAT test. Told supervisor American flags were displayed backwards. Instead of fixing them she just took them down. Shows you what we have working in our government.

This location is a huge joke! System was supposedly down for 2 weeks and couldn't honor my appointment for license renewal that I made a month in advance. Give me a card to return when system is up again and they'll honor my appointment but they'll only honor it u till 3PM and I get notification system is up and running at 2PM. Race over here fast as I can (legally anyway) and arrive to a completely packed parking lot. Now I circle around for 8 minutes looking for parking. Finally pull in and park in Taco Bell and walk over to hear they will not honor my appointment because it's 3: 19pm and I have to come back another day. Never have any issues at Highway 60 location. Only reason I made appointment here in the first place was this was the first available for all 4 polk county locations, remember I was booking in June and the first available was July 6th at 10: 30am. Unacceptable! Do better to fix and address these issues.

I recently moved to Davenport Florida from California and I needed to get my Florida license so I decided to come here and I literally was in and out in 10 minutes everyone that works there are so polite and welcoming you can tell they enjoy working there and they go above and beyond for anything that you need it doesn’t matter how big or small the situation is and yes I definitely recommend this place to anyone. 10 out of 5 stars

Just left the DMV and wow. I have never experienced this kind of service in Orange county. Brandy was the front desk person and she was super sweet and kind. My brother and I both had an appt, but our mom didn't and she was very kind to let her come with us. Thank you Brandy for being such a kind human being. I also want to thank Martina our driver license person for your kindness and being sweet. Your professionalism was exceptional. Thank you again!

Front desk staff is wonderfully friendly and helpful (on every occasion I’ve been there). The whole office is clean and has a lot of room. The process is pretty clear and if you aren’t sure what to do, a staff member guides you in the right direction. I highly recommend making an appointment if you are able to.

Wow, great facility and efficient in their jobs. You won't be disappointed. Model program in place for today's standards.

I had to ask questions by mail and call before coming in because I was registering an out of state vehicle.so polite and helpful! Came in office everything went so smooth, again very helpful staff and they gave me a pin for being a vet. Wow thanks for your great customer service!

Called multiple times to make sure what the fees for written exams and road tests were. Made sure to ask again at the desk. Got told the first written test was free, then got asked if I wanted to take the test again for 6 dollars instead of $10. Then got told that I needed to pay extra $10 because i took the test twice, when I was told I would only pay $6. The lady literally said "the first test is not free but actually $6, they set you up like that". What the hell. Scammed 0/5 stars from me

It just never fails. Every time I come here as of late there is an issue. My teller spends more time trying to find a reason why she or he can not do something. No one has yet to go out of their way to assist me with finding a solution.some not all of the current employees are just plain miserable. I have been coming to this particular location since it was opened and this is by far has my blood boiling.

They gave me an appointment time and a number and told me to wait. After waiting two hours in the lobby and after my appointment time had passed, I went to the counter and asked when my number will be called. The person looked on the computer and said it must have been called because its not on my list. I said Ive been waiting for two hours and it was never called. She told me its not in her system so i would have to take anpther number and wait even longer.

Ive visited this location twice and both experiences were hat all dmv should be like. I moved from Miami and I dont need to say anymore. I feel like Im another state when I experience any service here. Im treated with respect and I dont feel as though Im annoying the staff when I ask questions. Thank you Polk County for your awsome staff!

Awesome service from the front desk on 5-29 and again on 5-30. We did not have the correct documents, the lady that helped us was awesome. She helped us through the process and got us to a supervisor who aided us. They treated us very well, we left in the downpour of rain and did not get a chance to thank everyone that helped us. Great experience today. The facility was clean, the process was very efficient and the clerk who assisted me was wonderful.

We were at the DMV all day handling a issue. I must say Amber the supervisor is the best. She took charge of our issue and follow through until completion. She really made the day much more enjoyable.

I give them 5 stars because they are amazing. They have really long lines but that is not in their control. They treat you with respect and Dmv places usually give you attitude, they are the best.

Very efficiently run compared to other states. You may have a wait but it is never that long and everyone is friendly and helpful.
