The Cloak & Blaster reviews
42Whis they were not so scared of covid. We were lucky to get a table. It looks like they have room to seat more but they are still trying to social distance. Great beer selection and the menu is large. We had a good time playing games here
It was amazing. Good selection of cocktails and beers, the menu had super fun themed Items, we had the revenge of the curds and brats from the future, both were delicious! Absolute favorite was the hogwarts after dark, a layered milk stout, root beer and an amber ale I think. Definitely a great evening
Great atmosphere and a really great system for keeping the games covid safe! Bonus points for having free womens emergency items in the bathroom! Food is good, but definitely filling and indulgent- didn't know I'd be that full when i left
It's been a while since I've been here, and I must say it's always awesome! Mikey was great, he took great care of us. Even though the video games aren't available to play, it's still a great place to be. Drink selection and food items are quite tasty. The merch area for the Khajiit is a nice addition.
Very thankful for the COVID-19 protective measures that are in place.
Went for drinks and tabletop games. The vibe was great, the Method for asking for attention for ordering was genius, the prices were good and the place was much larger than I expected. Definitely worth visiting if you like themed bars and you'll likely leave with a new game. +Veggie options available
Nice menu items with humorous thematic titles, a fun atmosphere, and friendly staff make this place a definite win!
Bartender Matt makes this a 5 star establishment. He is beyond knowledgeable about whiskey. Knowledgeable is an understatement. He taught me and my wife and friends about all different kinds of whiskey and made our night quite memorable for Alan’s birthday. Would go here only to see Matt!
Cool concept! Great place for friends to hangout and have playing games. Interior was true to its geek culture
My boyfriend and I LOVE coming here for date night! We love to play board games while eating dinner. The atmosphere is very inviting and enjoyable for people of all ages. I also love how diverse the menu is! There’s literally something here for everyone.
Finally went to Cloak and Blaster tonight after meaning to go there for years. Really cool ambiance featuring decor of varying sci fi references including Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones, Dr. Who, Star Wars, etc. Even the menu is themed. We ordered an appetizer called Magic Missiles, which was battered cauliflower for which we chose the honey mustard sauce and that was delicious. We all ordered the burger on brioche bun and my daughter opted for the impossible patty. Everyone enjoyed their burgers which were stacked so tall they were difficult to fit in one's mouth! They offer an assortment of interesting non alcohol beverages, my daughter got a root beer which we were told was drafted in the same manner as craft beer, it was a good root beer and even had a thin line of froth at the top. We don't drink much but I did notice they have several craft beer choices that looked interesting. There are also board and role play games for sale there, or you can bring your own and play it at the table after you eat. It's even expected to do so, so you won't be rushed out. The service was great; your table is given a sign to stand up when you need service and anyone employee nearby immediately helps you, you don't have to wait for a specific server to become available and try to get their attention like at most restaurants. The servers were also all friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back!
Great geeky bar with craft beers and awesome food. Board games to play with friends downstairs and videogames upstairs. Try the dragon eggs they are amazing.
Phenomenal place to go for a witty drink that is well crafted alongside beautiful food and marvelous games galore.
Loved this place.went for the first time today great atmosphere lots of games to rent on the cheap. Awesome food
Best bar in Orlando. Amazing atmosphere, friendly staff that will go the extra mile.
I go here primarily to hang out/play video games and drink the sours they have, since there aren’t many craft beer bars that have as many sours rotating as they do.
The beer cheese pretzel is also to die for!
Great place to hang with friends from playing games upstairs to a great selection of board games downstairs. Great selection of hard ciders, food is great with the new V3 menu that has the epic Salted Caramel Cheese Cake on it. Staff is fantastic and they really do get to know your game.
Videogames are upstairs, cardgames downstairs. The menu is your typical sportsbar food with referencial names, but they do make the items fun, for example, they have (had?) an Infinity Gauntlet drink which mixed several drinks in a giant goblet meant to be shared between a group.
Definitely a place worth checking out at least twice.
LOVE the atmosphere! What a great place to celebrate your nerdiness and feel welcome! Awesome beer selections and they have the impossible burger! Love the vibe and the employees are so accommodating. My new favorite pub!
I Kickstartered this wonderful geeky pub when I lived close enough to go frequently. Even though I moved across country it's a must visit spot whenever I'm in Orlando. I love it, and I love the owners and staff. They have some of the best beers and best food with the geekiest of names. If you're in Orlando you must stop by!
Server was super nice. Good selection of beers. $1 per person to play games - card, table games - which was different. But I get it - accountability, money for replacement, etc.it’s smart actually. Didn’t go upstairs to play video games. While upstairs you have to order a drink every 30 minutes or pay $5 - pretty sure those were the rules on the wall. Again, makes sense why they do that.
East Orlando's best gamer bar! The citadel lounge is always quiet, despite doing a swift business, and even the $5 rental fee on board games is hardly noticeable, as your drink tab covers it.
