The Godfrey Hotel & Cabanas Tampa

Upon arrival I was pleasantly astounded. This cute hotel had the tropical feel of Florida. I couldn't have picked a better spot. The palm trees and water front were perfect. Walking down the hall to our room felt like being on a ship. The lobby was decorated wonderfully and the wood table is gorgeous. Want it for my house. The price is fantastic. 420$ for seven of us to stay in 2 double rooms. Great for a large family on a budget. Staff is friendly. Rooms were clean. More coffee would have been nice. But that's minimal compared to everything else. Looking forward to the pool opening so we can walk out the boardwalk to the gazebo. Will post pics.

I am a full time fishing guide on Tampa Bay, since the Godfrey group took the hotel over and gave it a complete overhaul I now have a first class place to recommend to new and repeat clients.
The dock allows for easy access to the bay and can make the trip happen seemlessly with zero commute time on the part of the Godfrey guests.
My clients have also enjoyed the hook and cook option. The chef will prepare your catch to your liking, as long as your fishing with a Godfrey approved guide.
I highly recommend the Godfrey if your in town for a conference or looking for a venue to host one they have the facilities to make it happen.
Also the Godfrey offers fishing packages if that’s what your looking to do. Be sure to talk to them as only approved guides can pick up and drop off there. Check them out and tell them Capt Tim sent you!

Really great location, staff is friendly without being creepy, nice fitness center, smells really good but they need to put some money into rooms. The mattress was old and none of the furnishings or light fixtures had power ports. The structure is older and they updated furnishings and flooring but not power or lack thereof. No clock radio either which was annoying but there’s really nowhere to plug it in if they had one. I’ll come back but will try to remember to bring a power strip to charge my devises.

When I checked in and asked for a Harborside View was told they had none when she gave us a room with me my wife and my daughter they put us in a king size bed knowing we had three people when I booked it was a double when I went back to the desk and said something she gave me a hard time then she put us in a room and it was Harborside so she lied to us about that beds only had one pillow on them call front desk at 5: 30 went to dinner came back at 9: 30 still had no pillows no blankets which we asked for Second day left early in the morning came back at 11 o'clock at night no one ever gave us fresh towels never made up a room when something was said to them then again gave me a hard time The rooms were clean the door to the hallway very hard to shut the lock to the lanai is broken when we checked in the lock to the adjoining room was unlocked staff is just very on courteous and unhelpful on Priceline hotel was listed as a 3 1/2 star I do not agree.

Everyone here was super helpful and really nice. The food was better than average and the room was clean. They take a $100 deposit, like most hotels to cover incidentals, we used none. & - 10 days we were told it would be refunded. Today Nov. 27 stayed on the 11th.at least 7 different phone calls, sales, front desk, accounting, & General manager. Had to leave messages as no one, except front desk picks up the line and they immediately transfer you to accounting who never answers and never pick up the line either. Bought through Groupon, wrote them to ask for help.it was today so they will not respond until tomorrow. Was a really good experience until this. I will not recommend them to anyone because they are not true to their word. Nothing used nothing should have ever been charges (like other hotels, motels) a very bad practice they have adopted.skip down the road another mile, many places to stay. I'm giving them 1 star, but it is really 1/2.

Stayed here for MOTB 2017 and it was gross! Room was dirty! Sock and candy wrappers on the floor, bathroom counter was dirty. Went to get a housekeeper, who was cleaning another room to give me something to clean our room with. She was more than helpful to come to our room using the rag she was cleaning the other room bathtub with to wipe down our counter. GROSS! We went and bought our own cleaning supplies and cleaned our room. Floor (carpet) was disgustingly dirty. Convenient but will not stay here again!

Nice rooms but the WORST customer service ever! I have never been treated so horible in my life. I call to speak to a manager and was told that i need to come to the front desk because he was busy. I ordered room service and after the food was delivered i asked for a receipt and was told i can pick it up at the restaurant myself. I will never stay here ever again. Accommodations and food was mediocre. I wish i could get a refund and move hotels and not have to stay one more night here. I would recommend staying at a motel 6 over this place.
