The Oar House reviews
45Amazing food in a beautiful waterfront setting! We recommend the crawfish etouffe, paella, and grouper sandwich. The bar staff were especially awesome!
Extremely long line only to get food that wasn't great not even ok. Kids calamari was burnt the first round so they remade it only to not hold the flour. My food shrimp and fish basket was not fried enough it was so soft i thought i had foss teeth. Looks way better than it taste.
Nice outdoor seating along Bayou Chico. Varied menu, reasonable prices. Great place to watch all the boats pass by.
Service and atmosphere was great! Food was delicious and fresh! I had the shrimp and fish basket. My mom had the shrimp basket and gumbo. Both of us really enjoyed it! Would definitely recommend.
Amazing shrimp and grits. Sauce is amazing on it. The waitress
heard me mumble that I loved mushrooms in sauces and she brought me out extra mushrooms without me asking. Awesome
Gumbo and shrimp were excellent. Ariel was the best. Awesome service, food and atmosphere. Will definitely be back many more times. Thank you!
The food was delicious. Their Bushwhacker is great! However, the wait time was super long. We were told 40 minutes for our wait and ended up waiting over and hour and a half to get seated. They were seating people prior to us who arrived after us.
Beautiful lil spot, but the service, and food was terrible. I was sitting at the bar, right in front of the servers, and bartender's faces, so there was no excuse for this.
My husband is active duty military and this was our go-to spot. Friendly, easy, laid back service and atmosphere. The food is to die for! Thank you, Oar House!
Absolutely delicious food! Had the BBQ cajun shrimp with black eyed beans instead of ther mashed potatoes. I was stuffed halfway through (due to the amazing crab/ artichoke dip and smoked tuna dip appetizers filling me up), but still finished the main course.too good to stop! Oh! And the views! Wow! Can't wait to come back!
People were a bit rude. Went here to celebrate a brother going off to do bigger and better things. Long story short, a buddy and I were a bit late to the event due to a prior engagement so we decided to call-in our order instead ordering when we got there. We were told that we had to order our food To-Go and would not be allowed to eat on the premises for some crazy reason even though we would be joining our group. While waiting at the Togo register a several of employees either walked right past or just stared awkwardly for about 5 minutes. Maybe it was a bad day but I definitely feel like the service should have been a lot better. On a lighter note the Shrimp and Grits was pretty good.
Went for dinner with a large group unannounced, while on orders to NAS Pensacola. The staff was great, the food was delicious, and the prices were great. Laud back beach vibe with volleyball court and cornhole. Definitely going back next time I'm in Pensacola.
Had a great lunch of fish and chips. The fries were hot and crispy and the fish tasted great. Service was fast and polite as usual.
Great view, okay drinks, food seemed low quality.
I would not recommend going here for food.
I would recommend going here to boat/people watch and get some drinks/bar food.
Our new favorite spot! The food was great, service was fantastic and the atmosphere was the best. Perfect place for just 2 or a large group.
Always great food and atmosphere. Waterfront seats with great views. Open
Air restaurant which remains comfortable even in hot weather
A really good location. Always a fun, vibrant atmosphere. Basa/Swai as their fish selection is abhorrent. Asian catfish bred and raised in chemical pools, unregulated antibiotic ingestion. Come on! Buy and sell some decent wild-caught American fish, I'll pay the extra.
Neat atmosphere. Right on the docks, so you can drive you boat up to it. A very touristy kind of place, but decent enough food.
Great service, great food and a lot of fun! Order was fast and correct.if you are visiting or local, this is definitely a place to try!
Food ok service was slow and waitress had attitude I made sure to reflect the poor service minuscule tip
