The Vinoy Renaissance St. Petersburg Resort & Golf Club reviews
26Absolutely beautiful hotel. The architecture of the hotel is very pretty. Paul's Landing Restaurant is beautiful with a flowered wall and turqoise seats. You can eat outside and watch the boats by the water. Delicious shrimp over avocado toast by the pool. We brought our bicycles and road down the new pier and swam at the pool.
Stayed in Mid March 2021, so you can never know what Covid has impacted and what it hasn't. Solid experience, but not over the top. Any hotel feels a little weird right now. Nice location, easy to walk to a lot of neat neighborhoods and eateries, the pier is fun. Staff friendly and attentive, high marks to the barista each day I was there in small coffee shop.
Oh boy, Vinoy. Not worth the price, at all. When you pay over $300/night for a hotel room, you expect it to be pristine (at least, I do). When checking in, we were asked if we wanted to park in the parking garage for $20/night or use valet. What? $20/night to park in a garage and have to bring our luggage from there when we’re already paying over $300/night for a room? That should be free! When in the room, we noticed mold/mildew above the soap dish, and tiled shower that really could use some Tilex. This is not an average hotel! Then we couldn’t connect to the internet and learned it was another $12 minimum per day for internet service. My husband tried calling the front desk and someone would pick up, then hang up (three times), then no one would answer after that. Then the last night there we came back in the evening and our room hadn’t been serviced. We can make our bed and all, no problem, but we should have had it and were told they were running behind (this was at 8 pm). The hotel itself is beautiful, and there were some positive notes, like our server Matt at the restaurant. But for the price, they really need to do better. We don’t plan on staying there again.
The hotel is very well maintained and a nice pink beach color that stands-out from the rest of the surrounding buildings. The staff was courteous and prompt. Rooms had nice balconies with views of the new pier. Easy walk to restaurants and bars. Great time on a large property.
First the good. Great location, restaurant and pool staff were great.
The bad. Front desk staff were rude and pompous. With our platinum status we were entitled to suite upgrade. Upon check in we were told not available. Once in room went on Marriott app and found suites were available for dates of our stay. I confronted the management and they said the app must have issues. I’ve never had an issue with an upgrade at any other Marriott property. I’ve been platinum member for most of last decade. This property is not true to the Marriott name, be aware when you book.
I enjoyed my stay at the vinoy, they have beautiful rooms with comfy king size beds. The bar is great and the bourbon selection is great. The staff was nice and very helpful as well.
Awesome is an inadequate superlative to describe this hotel. From its beautiful architecture, its friendly staff to the immediate surroundings of this friendly city, this is the place to stay.
Elegant and refined situated on the water for nice relaxing evenings on the lanai. Gorgeous architecture and close to so many fantastic restaurants! Just delivered a jog stroller to a family on vacation here to use to stroll along the park and in the shops downtown.
This is a beautiful, historic hotel in downtown St Petersburg! We attended a conference here and the entire staff exceeded our expectations. The location can't be beat! It's within walking distance to many restaurants and shops and we were blessed with gorgeous weather to enjoy it all. One of our favorite events as a group was a cruise on the Smooth C's with Tampa Bay Yacht Charter. We hope to return to this area again and fingers crossed that we have another conference at this hotel!
So beautiful. Feels like going back in time, yet has all the modern luxuries that I want. The brunch is fantastic! The staff is friendly and helpful. Having drinks on the veranda is a favorite.
Amazing! Okay, total honesty. I did not stay here at the hotel as a guest. I did dine here in their restaurant, amazing food. The decor in the lobby was beautiful and records the history of St. Pete. This hotel has a amazing history too. I hope sometime I can stay in the hotel, it looks wonderful.
The guest room was huge. Well appointed, very comfortable king size bed. Our balcony view overlooked the tennis courts and a massive construction site, so not very attractive. Our room also had a few leftover crumbs on the chairside table from previous guests. It was my birthday, and they gave me chocolates that were delivered on a beautiful place with Happy birthday in chocolate. We we're only there for one night, do overall a great experience.
The Vinoy is one of the two biggest best hotels in St Pete. I attended a social event for members during my last visit.
The Vinoy is lovely. The rooms are huge. The property is well maintained. The area around the Vinoy has nice restaurants and shopping. I will definitely stay there again.
Gorgeous resort nestled in the heart of St. Pete. Historical architecture with modern interior. Accommodations were lovely and hotel staff were friendly and helpful
I had just bought my wife a new Lexus SUV.we stayed for two nights over New Years at the Vinoy, during that time valet had sideswiped my wife's new vehicle while it was parked in the Vinoy garage. Overall this was a terrible way to start the new year. On the positive side the valet company named '717' immediately responded and paid for the repairs. The Vinoy itself is very nice but. I believe the room rates should be a little less if you compare this hotel to others throughout the country.
We did bridal hair and makeup here for our bride! Great hotel. Glam2be and hair by @runningwithscissorslargo
Always a must when in beautiful St. Petersburg.
It's the patriarchal building of downtown.
Have a nice drink on the patio.
Stopped in for drinks, which were tasty and priced well foe tip shelf drinks at a high end hotel. We sat in the restaurant bar which is a nice space Service was good at first then.well nothing. Big sticking point was as we left we walked by 3 bartenders, a manager, and 2 people at the host stand and nobody said goodbye or thank you.
We came for an anniversary weekend and the hotel was very beautiful. The rooms was generous and very cozy. The porch with rockers is very relaxing and the view is awesome. We found the service to be good and attentive.
