Overpriced old building with lots of character. Staff is great. Food is average to good, not special. It's as about location, downtown on the waterfront in the heart of everything. Drink selection at the bar is limited, two to seven blocks away at many local taverns and restaurants, the selection is much wider and average priced.

The location is gorgeous, you can look out over the water, sit at the bar or simply be seated for dinner. The staff are all friendly and helpful and if you eat there, you get free valet parking which is perfect if you're walking a couple of blocks away for a play or really anything else in the area.

Beautiful hotel, right in the best part of the downtown waterfront. The staff is friendly, the food good, the atmosphere awesome.

This is a great place to stop and have a cocktail and see the place. The staff are all total professionals. I highly recommend the Vinoy!

Absolutely love this hotel the food is amazing at the bar the scenery is absolutely gorgeous you can walk to everything the marina the Bayfront it's definitely a must-see when you're in the same Petersburg area if you just go and have drinks at the bar. The elevators going to the rooms are very tiny.

A beautiful historic place that unfortunately is a little bit lacking when it comes to customer service. Our room was not cleaned and the carpet was actually filthy - didn't notice this until I saw my kid's shirt dirty from crawling on the floor. The room was a good size however for a family of 4. Love that when we got the crib, we also got some baby shampoo and lotion that came with it- always a plus since it's tricky to travel with kids. The kids also loved the pool. The servers were great poolside, too. Paul's landing had great food although the menu was a little bit bare- I think this is pretty much a given with poolside restaurants. There was also a bit of a wait with us getting served since there was a bit of confusion as who put server was supposed to be. We didn't get to eat at Marchand's since we failed to secure a reservation. The spa was great and the staff friendly enough. My therapist Erica was really good since she listened to what I needed to get worked on (I had their custom massage). The staff at the front desk were ok. We asked for some water as we ran out of it for our daughter's formula and also for drinking water. The girl said she can only provide us with 2 small bottles (we asked for 3), not a big deal but just a bit disappointed considering our toddler was also a big water drinker. Overall, service was ok for a Marriot chain but our family has stayed in other Marriot hotels with better customer service and accommodations for our family's needs.
