Venue at Winter Park

I moved out of the Venue about a year ago and it was the best decision I could’ve made. The staff is extremely unprofessional and they use scare tactics to rush you into decisions that you should be able to take more time to consider. They upped my rent by $300 with no notification or reasoning. Their whole management company is a scam. They probably spent more money on new golf carts then they did in apartment renovations and tenant care. All the staff does all day is sit in the office or ride on golf carts. Zero stars.

Save yourself the huge hassle

Twice now I've not been able to go outside because there's been a police standoff with guns pointed at my neighbor's door. I don't think they background check.

I have been extremely pleased with the service my husband and I have received at the Venue at Winter Park. Kellie is amazing and we are so appreciative of all she has done to make our experience here to date the best it could possibly be! Thank you!

I moved into Venue at Winter Park in 2018. Peggy leased me my first apartment. She worked with me and got me a good rate. When I had to transfer apartments because I had back surgery last year, Peggy and her team made sure I got into an apartment on the ground floor, so that I wouldn't have to schlep up and down the stairs, and she made sure that I was okay. Thank you Peggy!

Venue apartment is going very bad the service now is worse the people in the office does not lesion they are saying we are renovating but doing nothing I tell them several time to fix the window they don't do it even for the carpet as well same and the corporate is just increasing the apartment rate and stilling our money from the time I am moving from here and I will say don't rent this apartment because this is the worst apartment in the community be care full

Would be great if they background checked the residents, had a drug dealer neighbor for a little over a year (albeit that was under previous management) and it's not uncommon to see crazies at night. Okay place to live 5 days a week, but after 8 PM and on weekends it's all screaming unattended kids or some guy blaring R&B with his car windows open for 4 hours. (Not exaggerating.) Nothing wrong with the unit, and the new upgrades are nice, but you get tired of having the cops on speed dial.

I have lived here for about 5 years. This is my second apartment, at first I was fine but when it became Venue at Winter Park I became unhappy I move in 2 weeks. The upgrades are nice, but why not wait until I leave, I work from home and it has been extremely annoying. I have had to take time off because workers in my apartment all day making noise. This is my home and I feel I have zero privacy.

Maintenance is a joke complained about a possible leak due to wet carpet in the living room they tore up the wall over a week and a half ago said they would come back check the leak again and if it stopped they would repatched the wall never came back still have a huge cut out along my wall

Just moved out cleaned everything out of the apartment but they still want to charge me a 175$ trash fee for 2 small paintings left inside. Great management.

Resident for two years. We were lied to by all the employees here when we signed our initial lease a few months ago. The miscommunication is terrible and the management is poor and irresponsible. Things are constantly breaking in our “new” apartment and the neighbors are loud and inconsiderate. Be wary, This is one of the most poorly led communities I have ever rented from. They told us rent was due at the end of November then served us with a “Pay or get evicted” letter at the beginning of the month. How about not lying about when rent is actually due? We were told to pay ahead being we moved in after the 26th? Don’t even get me started on the prior year. We will be moving soon.

UPDATE. Since the new management has taken over this place had improved immensely!

I don't know if I supposed to rates now cuz I just moved in today 8/20/16 and i found the place to be pretty impressed when I walk into my apartment the whole place was clean. The air and everything was on. When I walk in to get my keys the office was so nice. Management was professional. NEW UPDATE 9/2/16: It been a week since I move in and the apartment complex very quiet and clean. When I called in for service they comes in the next day. PLUS your need to understand that Winter Park Common is a old apartment complex. To me winter park common employees trying their best to keep it NEW. Everyday I see them up and down getting things done. NEW UPDATE 10/25/16, everything ease is good but your rent be going up like crazy out of know way, they be charging you all this unknown charges.

Do not rent here. They have increased costs to here. Increased our cost of water to $70 dollars, which isn't in our contract. Attempts to fix ongoing issues in our apt not fixed after several complaints. Other ongoing issues that still need to be fixed.
We where told our rent would be one price and ended up paying way more.
Trash left out way beyond the dumpster on a regular basis always smells.
Extremely dissatisfied.

Customer service is HORRIBLE! I have called, emailed, left messages, and contacted the BBB with NO response about my concerns.

Nothing much new to add that hasn't been repeated many times in other reviews.

Has a pedestrian gate leading to Cady Way trail which is nice I guess for runners and dog owners.

Management will not hesitate to send strongly worded warnings for "unapproved" porch items, such as BBQ, satellite antennae, and non plasticrap lawn furniture. I just wish they took that no nonsense attitude when dealing with the trash management situation and the lack of effective security (a stationary patrol car with orange and green burners occupied by a guy mesmerized by his phone who bounces out before midnight just does not cut it).

Oh yeah, they also lost a package of mine in the office for over a year, with zero attempt to contact me in all that time, and despite the fact I never gave them authorization to accept my mail into the office in the first place. Stalest Christmas cookies I've ever seen.

The place has the potential to be great, but I wouldn't hold my breath under current management.

Been a resident for two years. There are constantly issues here. We had a leak under the slab in our apartment, which lead to us having an electric bill 5-6 times the normal amount. It took them almost 6 months to find the issue and get it resolved, costing us an additional $1500. There has yet to be any sort of reimbursement due to their management staff constantly changing. If you can afford a little extra for an apartment, I would highly suggest looking elsewhere in the area. This place is not worth the amount of rent that they charge.

UPDATE: If it were possible to give 0 stars I would. All of a sudden, after moving out, I get a bill in the mail from a collection agency for $245. I have not received a bill from them in the amount and have received no communication on what the charges are for. Out of the blue there is just a big collections bill in my name. Don't rent here, they continue to screw you over even after you leave.

When you first move in they are very nice and helpful. After they take your money staff is very rude. Very slow to fix problems. Appliances constantly break down. No one answers the phone or return emails. Extremely over price for what you receive. Trash area is always over flowing. Security is never around. Staff is not here to help tenants. I was asked to leave because there was nothing further she could do.

Apartment management is very rude, when I talking on the phone she just turned off the phone, and I called again she said we will call you than turned off the phone. They are very unhelpful, they never listens me. I paid the rent but we can't move

Horrible when you first move in they tread you well, afterwards they are very rude and insensible on situations that they are supposed to take care

The place looks horrible & ghetto. It doesn't look like what they advertised on their website. I scheduled an appointment to view the apartments and I came by and I just left immediately. The price is cheap but that's because it's ghetto and the neighborhood is run down. I should have known better once I saw the two stars. I wouldn't live here unless it's your only option. Read all of the other reviews the complex doesn't even like to fix anything with the apartments and they're rude.
