In all my life this has to be the worst animal clinic ever. They are clearly all about the money. Everything is chaos in there. Staff is very young. Had my cat in there several times for being blocked and a nightmare each time.

Last time the wait was 2 hours and I specifically asked for blood and urine tests. They didn’t do either. I strongly feel the majority of the positive reviews are paid reviews, as this is a chain of animal hospitals.

I have spoken to several local vets and they have all expressed their feelings of distain for these VHA hospitals.

There are not enough words to convey our appreciation and gratitude for Veterinary Healthcare Associates. Dr Megan Sawyer and Technician Vanessa and the entire staff made a very difficult situation with our puppy Lily as easy as possible. Dr Megan and the staff not only care for pets but also for pet owners. They have been a blessing to our family. Lily is on her her way to full recovery thanks to this team of caring professionals.

Let me start off by saying that even in the situation that most pet owners have nightmares about, the staff at Veterinary Healthcare Associates were kind and as gentle as possible. I had an emergency situation with my pet at 3 am, and these amazing individuals did everything they possibly could to save my buddy, Patterson. Each individual I encountered treated me with the understanding and compassion that is hard to come by these days. I cannot express how much their kind words and service touched me in those terrifying hours. I will recommend this business to anyone and everyone that will listen. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

BEWARE! - DO NOT GO HERE

My neice took her pitbull here that was attacked by two other dogs and the vet here did nothing for the injured pitbull except to over dose the dog on pain medicine and then convince my neice that her dog was in a coma from its injuries and needed to be put to sleep, but lucky for the dog many hours had passed that it gave way for the medicine to ware off and "miraculous" the dog woke up and started walking around and drinking water.not dieing from a coma. (think this treatment was do to his breed)

*the pitpull is safely at another er vet - a live and doing well.

Worst vet I’ve ever been too they’ll pretend like they can save your pet if you pay them thousands and if you can’t they’ll berate you until you put your pet down I’m not kidding this is the worst vet I’ve ever been too read the other reviews they’re all the same money money money and then they put your pet down.

Dr. Tammi Ruddle and her staff could not have been anymore caring and professional when we bought our 11 1/2 year old Lhsa Apso to the clinic. Teddy had been our family pet, and member of our family for years. He was in distress, and irreversible. We are so pleased we spent our last moments with Teddy under their care. He would also thank them if he could. These folks love animals and understand their care needs.

$641.00 Just for my fur baby to die the next day. I will never come back. All they care about is money.

Brought my cat in for an emergency snake bite. The nurses took a sweet hour before even getting to my cat. During that hour wait, my cat's condition deteriorated significantly and if they'd gotten to her at the beginning, maybe she could have had a chance at living. Now she is dead. Everyone is devastated. Screw this place.

Years ago Dr. Nations did surgery on our gentle giant kitty Marshie, who lived for quite awhile afterwards. On Memorial Day today, staff helped us out tremendously by giving needed fluids to one of our cats who has kidney failure. Outstanding service - thank you!

We can not thank Veterinary Healthcare Associates enough for saving Hennessy (our dog)! Not only did they do emergency surgery on her after hours, but they also gave us a price range that we were able to afford and stayed in it! On top of that, everyone there was extremely sweet. Thank you again for saving our baby!

Veterinary Healthcare Associates understand that our pets are family. They provided the most care with each hard step we had to take for our cat. I couldn't be more thankful for such a kind group of people. Romeo deserved the best and he got it here.

They are so extremely nice and attentive to mom in helping her make the decision on what to do. They were very supportive and helpful in the questions that she had. The only thing I didn't care for was the fact that once they took my mom's dog back to put him to sleep I felt like we were being rushed out of the place.

This place is horrible! After the shoves is in a room we waited 2 hours. 3 different people asked what was going on with our dog. Not a very good delay tactic. Told us their vet could read the X-rays solo and have to have somebody else read it. Tech came back and said they would give him a shot and some pain meds. Waited another 30 minutes and while waiting dog was vomiting and crying. Went looking for tech or vet. Nowhere to be found! DO NOT TAKE YOUR LOVED ONES HERE!

Dr Nations and staff were very compassionate during a very difficult couple days in which hard decisions had to be made. They took the time with me that I needed, were so compassionate, were thorough, explained everything well and did not hurry me. I highly recommend them.

The only veterinary facility in Polk County that offers 24 hour emergency and referral services as far as I know. They work really hard to provide excellent care for pets.

4/9/18 Our dog only had an abscess and thet determined it within the first 10-15 minutes. Waited for 45 minutes before seeing the Vet. 1 1/2 wait for discharge. Very, very slow service and expensive. Cost $99 for Vet, $121 for 3 day antibiotic. Took 2 hours cost $221! Terrible service and very expensive. I also was there 2-3 months ago $315 for bladder infection. Took 4 hours to get a shot. This place is terrible!

My dog started showing symptoms of illness while out of town. Came to this clinic and have been very impressed with staff and vets.

We arrived at 6: 30pm on a Friday evening, the place was pretty much empty. We waited for an hour and a half. There was no sense of urgency. We were willing to pay the $200 for an emergency visit for both of our dogs, since our regular vet is in Canada. We finally decided to leave once we realized that no one was particularly interested in seeing our pets in a timely manner. After reading some of the negative reviews I believe we did the right thing. This place is all about the money.
