I was here yesterday and I’m back today got 4 new tiers and a alignment which I don’t believe I needed the alignment but back today cause when I parked it the stearing wheel was up side down

Please read this before you take your vehicle here. Unfortunately they are crooks.

I took my car here because it was not turning on occasionally and turning off while going down the highway. I told them that I thought it was the fuel pump. I told them what was happening to my car and a day later they told me it was the ignition switch. I told them okay, go ahead and fix it for $500.

By no means am I an expert on cars, but when I have a problem with my car and I tell the shop what the problem is, and they tell me what the soultion is I expect it to be truthful. Unfortunately this is not the case with NTB.

After getting my car back, within 24 hours it was having the same problem as it had been sent I had taken it in to get fixed.

So I called up to the NTB and explained to them they had not fixed the problem I had brought it in for. The rude person on the phone then told me "do you expect us to fix it for free? ". Uhh no I already paid $500 for no reason.

That's right, they had "fixed" something on my car that was not really the problem, and took advantage of me not knowing what the original problem was. When confronted with this they refused to make it right by fixing the problem I originally brought it in for.

So basically I was out $500 and still had a car that was in the same shape as when I brought it in. After taking it to a REAL mechanic, wouldn't you know but I was right, it was the fuel pump.

My experience with NTB leads me to STRONGLY recommend you take your car elsewhere. In my experience these people are trained to take your money, without doing any meaningful work. Please reconsider taking your vehicle here.

It was probably the least pleasurable experience I've ever had with a business.

One of the staff at the front desk is very rude. Walked in he ignored me for more than20mins, before attempting to serve me. Was non-challant and unfriendly. Black dude with beard.

I had the oil changed in my Ford Focus at this location twice and both times have had additional problems found that turned out to not be problems. The first was when my daughter took the car in and the service center said the coolant was orange and that the system needed to be flushed. The coolant is supposed to be orange, at least that's what the owner's manual says.
The second time I was told the battery had a dead cell and that the car needed to be jumped while it was in the bay? It started fine when I left. When I got home I decided to look at the battery and test it for myself. I used a Fluke multi-meter and the voltage was 13.36 VDC, good as far as I know.
I call the service center back and said I had checked the battery and that it was ok. I also mentioned that the cover for the battery had not been put back on and could have come off while I was driving. I think I spoke to Donovan, and he said that the technician must have left something on while checking the battery?
I feel that this was the worst excuse to give and I will not be taking my car back to this, or any other NTB. Be cautious if you used this facility, and get a second opinion before you take their diagnoses as being correct.

After reading multiple post from other unhappy customers I already know what the owner's response will be. Sorry, go to our website and give more information. What a lousy, useless response is that? Stay away from this place or you'll pay for something you don't need or don't want.

They said my truck would be ready in 1 1/2 hours. I went back in 1 1/2 hours and they couldn't find the keys. The work had not even begun. I understand that shops can get backed up. The problem is that I was only getting one tire installed for $22 that I had ordered from Simple Tire to be delivered to NTB. My wheel came back scratched badly and that is only the beginning. I asked the tech if he did the proper balance technique because it is a Toyota that has to be balanced LUG CENTRIC and not HUB CENTRIC. The tech literally said "I Don't Know". I don't blame him personally. He acted quick once he realized I had already returned and my truck was still in the parking lot. I blame whoever was supposed to train him on the proper technique. And finally, to top it all off, when I got home I checked to see if the lug nuts were torqued properly and I can only get 1 to turn. I've already stripped two bolts trying to break them loose and will be going to the Toyota dealership tomorrow to get new bolts and a proper balance. I ordered the new tire to replace an 'out of round' tire that was causing vibrations. I left with more vibrations, a terribly scratched wheel and over torqued lug nuts that are now stripped. What a terrible experience this was for one tire. I've used NTB in the past to order tires at different locations and never had this kind of problem. I'll post a pic of all 4 of my rims when it's daylight. You can see the damaged one they worked on today vs the other 3.

Also, there was grease all over my wheel and the tire was inflated to over 40 PSI when the maximum on the tire is listed at 36 PSI.

After spending approximately 500 for brand new tires last month, the alignment is off. I can clearly see where the inner tread of my right front tire is already bald not to mention the way it feels going down the interstate. These guys are trying to tell me there is nothing wrong with the tire or how it fells driving down the road. I guess they think since I'm a single woman, I'd take their word for it. Save yourself a hassle and go somewhere else.

Avoid at all costs! I took my truck for a tire rotation. They used an impact wrench when they were putting the lug nuts back on. Cross threaded two wheels and over torqued the rest. The manager Donovan was completely unhelpful. I have had the other tire shop working on getting the wheels off for a day and a half. Corporate has not been much help either. This is the easiest thing they offer and they still messed it up bad. Never again.

Worst customer service I have ever experienced! I was told one price from their website scheduler and it was a totally different from the front clerk. I was told “we can’t honor that”

Caution. Told I was getting a $69 Alignment to match the special the service shop across the street was offering. Go to pay and they tell me it is +$100.00. What the heck. I asked why and he said taxes.he then said he would give me 10% off which is still not what we originally agreed to. Charged me $79 plus a bogus $9 “shop fee”. Stay away from this place. Too many other honest shops around Buford to choose from.

I will never go here again. Staff is rude or should i say that little guy is rude. Had new tires installed they bent my rail where my nerf rails go. Then went back for oil change and tire rotation was told i had an oil leak which i dont and was told that they cant change it again until the seal is replaced they didnt check air pressure and one was half deflated and now out of balance. And battery check was included which they didnt even look at. Dont waste your time or money with this place.

I personally believe that this company does a great job telling you what's wrong with your car and what could go wrong with your car. I have purchased tires from them and had repair jobs. They offer free coffee in a quaint waiting room. They have decent wait times.

It's ok shop. I did there balancing and alignment and they let you see what's the measurements. They will answer all your question. I wouldn't do something really simple over there

Very pleased customer since 2010 at NTB in Buford:
Today trustworthy mechanic James, service Donovan and Andrew found my battery from Auto Zone was under partial warranty, and saved me $56.00. Most establishments are out although yes to make money. I do know time is money, and I'm confident to say these folks watch over the consumer. I've been very pleased to say, I've established a trustworthy business relationship with my car care at National Battery and Tire in Buford

Howard B.saved my trip home. I blew out a tire as soon as I got on the road for my 4.5 hour trip. Tropical Storm Nate was going to impact my drive. The technicians were already working on cars and it was going to be an hour and a half before they could get to my car. So Howard went out there and changed the tire himself to get me on the road immediately. I was out in 20 mins and was able to miss the rain and strong winds. Very professional team all around. Thank you so much!

This place has always been so easy and pleasant to work with. Of course the are required to "up sell" additional services, but it's NEVER pushy or obnoxious. I've brought my car here since I purchased it in 2012.

We took our Volkswagen Beetle in because the engine light was on and the emissions test deadline was nearing. The catalytic converter required replacing—-or so we thought. Donovan and Fitz at the service desk were surprised when we returned because the engine light came back on. Historically, a customer would get the runaround about driving the car a couple of miles until the light goes off, but the staff faced this challenge head on and found a solution. Knowing the emissions deadline was approaching, Donovan even took the vehicle for the emissions inspection and it passed! Great job all around by Donovan and Fitz along with the excellent staff that was truly appreciated.
