Boss Frog's Snorkel, Bike & Beach Rentals, Lahaina HI

We went into the local Boss Frog to rent a few chairs and boogie boards. What we experienced was amazing customer service! Katie was so helpful. We asked Katie to look up our helicopter tour which we had booked online through another company but never received confirmation. Katie was able to connect with them an found out our reservations didn’t go through. At that point, she quickly got on the phone and computer to find a helicopter tour for us. We ended up booking another excursion through her as well. Thank you Katie for helping us make our Maui trip a success!

Total bait and switch. Told me $40 for the week, while also on signage outside the shop said two for one. To me that means two set for $40. Nope! I needed 4 sets should’ve been $80, nope, double that! I also saw a brochure that said $10 for the week, yes, but that’s for gear from the 70’s, that don’t work well. Why would you even market that except to just draw people in and up sell. Not cool, and shop person was super snug about the whole process.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful at this location! They sized my husband and I for snorkel gear and spent time educating us on how to wear it properly. This helped tremendously as we had never snorkeled before and we’re going out on our own for the first time. The staff gave us tips on where good spots were, we ended up going to Black Rock Beach and had the time of our lives! Thank you so much!

I tried three kinds of ink, none of which stayed on the postcard paper very well. Not one card I sent reached its destination. *Only use a Sharpie. Boss Frog staff, please make sure all your postcard buyers are aware.

Friendly service, easy pickup and drop-off, and the gentleman who helped us gave great recommendations on finding the best snorkel spots!

Shay is the man! He got us everything we needed. Very patient, took his time and made sure everything was right. Also helped us book activities last minute, and saved us a lot of money. Thanks so much.

This place is great! Great prices and great service! Siu was wonderful. She was very helpful with directing is to the perfect snorkeling place and providing the perfect rental equipment! My kids bought some cute jewelry that was very reasonably priced as well. Highly recommend this store.

Great place to get snorkel gear plus more! On our first day on Maui, we visited and Shay got us the right equipment, well maintained and sanitized. Rental rates are 24 hours or weekly. They offer activity reservations too, and things like beach chairs and umbrellas. We wanted to snorkel all days of our visit, so Shay told us the great places to go and he was so right! He took the time to understand our needs and was really friendly. What a great start to our vacation. Thank you, Shay!

Loved working with Shay. He was awesome! He not only worked with us renting the proper water gear but also gave us sound advice for booking events/excursions. His exceptional customer service and awesome sense of humor was one of the many highlights of our family while visiting this beautiful island. Our experience with Boss Frog was excellent. Shai, was more than excellent in helping us map our vacation, from whale watching to scheduling our luau. This shop is awesome — super friendly service, fair prices, and a good vibe overall. I’m so glad I ended up renting a waterproof camera here to capture our snorkeling adventures on Maui. A special shoutout goes to Ashley, who was just incredibly friendly and helpful, taking the time to recommend locations, places to see, and even where the locals eat. She also went out of her way to get the underwater pictures off the camera after I realized I didn’t bring a computer. Highly recommended!

Group walked in 1 hour after posted opening time and asked to rent snorkel gear. Employee cursed at us and locked door saying he wasn't open yet

I bought some sunscreen that was absolutely garbage and it did not work! I surf every day, so I am well aware of the hazards of spending time in the sun unprotected. I take every measure seriously. Today I didn’t want to wear my sun shirt, so I opted for sunscreen application and reapplication. After just an hour in the sun, and two applications of sunscreen, found myself burned several hours later. I went back to boss frogs, and the same woman who sold me the sunscreen was still working there. Ashley, the amazing person working there, immediately gave me a refund, no questions asked. Warm and welcoming, Ashley was a great help both times. We will definitely be returning to boss frogs, as long as she’s there.

I really appreciate the great customer service from Ashley, she went above and beyond to help me with what I needed and also put in a lot of work trying to get a boat for my large family. She was working alone and very busy but kept a positive attitude the entire time.
