Lulumahu Falls reviews
32Awesome destination. Would not bring small children because the trail is rough and MUDDY! I did the hike back in sandals but I would have killed for some waterproof hiking boots. Prepare to get wet and don’t get lost (it’s rather easy to lose your heading.) highly recommend!
Beautiful quiet spot but no signs or obvious traila so takes a bit of guess work to get there. The waterfall is worth the creek crossings and small rock climbs
It was a good hike but muddy so if u go.prepare to be dirty especially if it has been rainging.
Never made it to the falls we turned right and went through the bamboo Forrest and found the ancient ruins site was too muddy to head to the falls maybe hopefully next time it'll be better whether
Beautiful falls! Trail is very wet and prepared to get feet wet. Wear proper foot wear meaning hiking sandals or boots. Its easy to get side tracked on to other trails that can take you in the wrong direction so you really need to pay attention. Absolutely worth it at the end. Bring water and prepare to get wet.its the rainforest.
It's hella crowded! Really really good hike.it's an adventure for sure and good place to take your kids!
Awesome hike. Very muddy towards the middle. Wear shoes you don't care that gets muddy. Also maybe a change of shoes and bottoms as well so that you don't get any mud in the car. Its not that bad, you could try to avoid the mud by stepping carefully but its not that easy. Its well worth the muddy shoes trust me. The waterfall is beautiful!
You are now required to get a permit for $2.50, print it out and post it in your car. Did not know this until we got there so did not hike. Two cop cars chilling in the parking area.
Bring a backpack with water, and a snack. The trail is always muddy so wear hiking shoes. A walking stick, and gloves were very helpful for me, along with a change of clothes left in the car, water, and baby wipes to clean up afterwards. The view was beautiful!
It qas a great experience, even for the not so experienced hikers. My almost 4 year old son made it the while way by himself. I had my 1 1/2 year old daughter on my back, and my wife in tow. Gr was at experience, even though there were a few sketchy areas, it was fun!
This is one of my favorite hikes in the island. The waterfall itself is great, but the real beauty of this is the hike itself.
This was my first hike and it was amazing! The trek to the waterfall was worth the climbing and sloshing through the mud. Regardless of the weather there were lots of other hikers enjoying the views and the day as well. If you’re here for a while, get out and experience and enjoy Hawaii! It’s worth it!
