Calm and relaxed spot on North Shore. Though a rather rocky beach, so not so great for getting in the water. Better for just having a sit down and relaxing afternoon.

Calm quiet park with lots of parking, water fountain and shower. Small waves close in and big ones further out. Spotted a few people surfing and a family fishing

What a nice place! During the week it's nearly empty, at the weekends not really crowded, mostly local families who are fishing and surfers. At the west end you can find shadowy places to lay directly at the beach which I preferred.

Nice quiet beach on the North Shore. Heaps of parking but few other facilities. Take a dip on a calm day or just relax in the sun. Watch the kite surfers having fun on a rougher day.
Dillingham Airfield is across the road so make a day of it and go skydiving (hell yeah!) or gliding (for something more relaxed but still fun). You can watch both from the beach.
