Safeway, Kihei HI

We left a bag on the check out counter. Discovered our lose an hour later. I called the store, spoke to Jenny. After listening to my dilemma and checking the area she said no luck in locating. Her remedy you have the receipt so bring it in and we will replace the items. My bill was $280. What was replaced about 9 items $45. Iam retired 40 yrs retail management. How we would all love to have a store full of Jenny's thank you. One guess where my next grocery shopping will be!

Typical grocery store. It's clean and the lines move fairly quickly. You will likely need to grab a cart from outside on your way in, but they're not hard to find.

All I can say is salt and vinegar wings are amazing grom this place while your hitting the beach.

This is a big bustling Safeway with everything from tofu dogs to haircare. I was delighted to find Nexxus Shampoo and Matrix Biolage

Could be better. I got a bag of hot wings that was on the steam table, brought them home and they were just as cold as if they've been taking out of the refrigerator.

Thanks for responding. Here's my suggestion:
Get the self checkout lines defined. Walmart does it. Too many people have cut in front of me and it's easy to fix.

Great deals on items!

Shopped tonight and found most sections fully stocked now. Only complaint is that I am uncertain as to which grocery carts have been sanitized. And the sanitizer station at the door was empty, so had to grab a random cart from outside and couldn't wipe the handle.

SAFEWAY who is supervising these baristas?

This is a review of the Starbucks in there, not Safeway itself. I paid $13 for two grande size drinks, and got little to none of the toppings I asked. You will get charged extra and not get what you asked for. In fact both orders were different from each other, yet they ended up tasting the same watered down drinks. The girls were joking with each other as a line formed, very unprofessional. I threw mine away. I am finally writing this review after going there for a couple weeks, giving it a couple chances with no improvement. Tonight was just extra bad.

Store gets a lot of traffic and has to wait longer to restock than the main land, so don't be surprised if they're out of your favorite item

Beautiful large store. Lots of empty shelves in the produce department due to the hurricane warnings.

Good selection of fresh fruits. Like all of Maui prices are high. Safeway is a little more expensive than the Kihei Foodland for similar products.

In a large mall. Lots of parking. Very good poke selection. Seen better alcohol deals. Need a safeway card to maximize savings. I saved $25 using someone else's card as I am a short term visitor. Got my own card, about a 30 second transaction. Very good service. Large store, beats foodland big time.

Poke at the meat counter. They probably have 15 different types. It was fine for a 5$ lunch. Just like the states but 1$ more for everything except kona coffee and kona beer. It is pricey but it's one stop shopping.

The worst baked goods of any safeway on Maui and Oahu, I've lived on both. The store prepared food in kihei is garbage. They hire cashiers not cooks to make the food. Customer service is non existent. They barely speak english and have a blank braindead look on their faces. Giving the Safeway brand a bad name.

Very expensive unless on sale.then just expensive. Good selection. Avoid bathrooms. Crowded with long lines. Staff usually helpful and friendly.

Large and well-stocked grocery on Maui with a fantastic selection for locals and tourists alike. We were able to find healthy choices for various food allergies plus some Manapua to round out our shopping cart. Checkout was slow, however even in the self-checkout line that was bogged down by an overly sensitive scale. Otherwise, great visit!

Very clean fairly new store. Nice location. Large parking lot. Has Large selection of liquor, meat, fish, fresh vegetables and nice bakery.

This was on Pi'ikea Ave. It's a Safeway. And it's on Maui. Some try to warn you about sticker shock. PAY ATTENTION! Seriously, prices are high here regardless and ALL my grocery shopping was done at Walmart. This was my 5th trip and it learned the first time. Now, this store is really well kept up, employees great, and in my favorite mall on the island. You can find almost anything around here, and that includes Outback! If it weren't for the prices.
