Smith Family Garden Luau, Kapaʻa HI

This is a must if you're in Kauai. Let's start with the food, it was amazing! I've been to a few other luau's and the food was always so-so, not the case here, come hungry! The show after dinner was also phenomenal. Great performances and very cool how they Incorporated many different cultural dances into the show. Also, if you're doing the luau it's worth doing the Fern grotto boat ride right before the show. It's a beautiful ride and then you can walk right over to the luau afterwards. Overall, this is the best luau I've ever been to. Go!

Really great luae, a little long but worth it. The food is very varied so if you're a lucky eater stick to the salad and teraki. If you have a fear of birds don't go, the entrance is filled with small birds, but none of them will attack you. After the entrance it's all ducks, roosters, and pecoks. In case you have never seen a goose DON'T MESS WITH THEM!

My family had a great time last night with our first ever luau! The entire experience lasted about 3.5 hrs from start to finish. Staffs are friendly and very hospitable.
Got many great pictures inside the Garden. Kalua pork and teriyaki beef were delicious. Would prefer to have different flavors of the chicken and mahi mahi. The guava dressing and bread are unique! Kudos to the performers! The entire show went on despite the rain. You must try the luau experience at least once!

Having had the authentic experience at the Old Lahaina Luau in Maui we were very dissapointed. This Luau was very gimmicky. The food and service were ok, the drinks were terrible and the show was ok, did not really tell much about the history of Hawaii, it was more like being in a lame Disney show. Some of the transitions between numbers were just awkward.

It was a nice Luau. Just lots of people there. I would guess 300-400 people. The food was good, and the staff was very friendly. I think we were just expecting something different. Everything was nice, from the staff to the food. The bleachers you sit on for the show are a bit uncomfortable, and by the end of the show you are happy it is time to get up.
They do offer a shuttle service to and from your hotel which is great! This saved us from taking an Uber or having a DD.

I thought it would be cheap and cheesy actually this is very authentic real and you will walk away numb, not because of the free drinks but because of the real authentic show and the fire Dance by the prince

Really enjoyed the experience. They had to cancel a few shows with the predicted hurricane, but were great to get us (and I know a few other couples there) rescheduled. Great event for couples, adults, children, and family alike. Make sure to take advantage of walking the gardens (and the bottomless Mai Tai's). Food was impressive for a buffet and the pork was fantastic! Show was great to boot!

This was an amazing evening! I sat in the rain for a few days here in Kapa'a, this luau made up for it in spades. The show was thrilling, dinner, so tasty and the boat ride was awesome. Mahalo Smith Family. You definitely get your money's worth with this adventure.

This luau is the best in Kauai! Awesome food, entertainment well worth the price. Make sure you make your reservation before you get to the island we got lucky that are concierge was able to get 6 of us tickets got to give KIKI praise for getting us tickets. BEST LUAU EVER

A very beautiful place! Dinner was amazing, best i have ever been to! The show had a great story line but would have like to seenn a few more acts from the men but great affects and the fire guy was great.

Excellent luau experience. The gardens are beautiful and full of a huge variety of flora. The food is pretty good, the mai tais are poured quickly, and the dinner entertainment is a lot of fun. The actual show following dinner is very entertaining and well done. We had a lot of fun with the people we sat with throughout the nigh, and I definitely recommend going if you're on the island

KILLER food and a spectacular show that truly leaves you with the spirit of the islands. Unko bartender was a bit grumpy but didn't skimp on the alcohol. Tanks, eh! All around great luau! I've grown up Kaua'i and Smith's is hands-down da best on the island! You won't regret spending your money here.
