Shrine of the Grotto of the Redemption reviews
33Amazing craftsmanship, and dedication of the people that built it. They said the one fathers worked on it for 43 years
A great place to visit, definitely want to come back again. Was here 46 years ago for my honeymoon, and just as amazing now as it was then.
Beautifully created. Amazing art. The history on it is amazing and the self guided tour gives you freedom and allows free roam.
Not quite as much variety in different stones as I expected, but still some cool rocks and the religious theme wasn't too annoying or pushy. Also dog friendly!
It's the most beautiful place to visit.esp for a day trip for us. It's unbelievable it was all manmade. Worth the drive and time to go see!
An amazing site, words and pictures only will seem dull in descriptions until you see it in person.
AMAZING place!
It's hard to believe someone actually built all this by hand.
Walk-around and look at everything several times cuz you always find some detail (s) you missed during the previous walk-around.
Definitely a must stop and see!
If you fail to be moved by the devotion of those who built it, then you probably dont belong there in the first place. This is pure testament, of one mans devotion to his calling.
So incredible! Amazing! Loved that they let you touch it. Recommend taking tour to explain formations. Rich history. Go into rock lab area. Inside church is beautiful! We slept in dining hall. Kitchen was great. Showers available in campground across street. Will visit again!
Beautiful place. Hard to believe it was built by one man (for the most part). Wasn't sure at first if it would be worth the drive, but it definitely was.
One of the most beautiful places to visit in the midwest! A place in which beauty invokes deep reflective prayer.
Mixed reviews by the family, but this is definitely the only thing to do for a hundred miles around.
This place is amazing! The grotto is quite beautiful and the workmanship is excellent. Well worth your time to come and experience the grotto.
