Hardware Store Menards reviews
26Menards is just an awesome store. Most of the time they have more things in stock than just about everybody. I go there for all things small or large. Pricing is closer to all the other big box stores. All of their stores are fairly new and all are clean and well kept.
Love the place, I replaced my kitchen sink, went to two other places, none of their sink's would fit. Came to check out Menard's and thankfully they had one that fit. This is now the first place I will check if anything else is needed.
Always have some great sales items. Excellent rebate program. More than just a hardware store. My wife likes to go too. Besides having large plumbing, electrical, paint, tools, building products, garden supplies it has a great food, kitchen and pet supplies. It is my favorite store. I shop at Menards at least once a week, usually more.
We bought $650 worth of materials 25 pieces being drywall and when my husband went back to pick it up not one person helped load 25 pieces of drywall and the manager said well you should ask somebody and he said who was I supposed to ask and he said the guard at the gate and my husband said oh and how was I supposed to know that. I said well you have to order it through the computer so you would have thought that the computer would have known that somebody needed to be out there to help load 25 pieces of drywall
The clerks were helpful and not condescending about my lack of work working knowledge.
Prices were comparable to Amazon, considering the convenience factor.
Every time I go here I leave disappointed, I order alot of stuff here and everything is good until I go and pick it, the guys that work in the yard must be really under paid. You have to wait for someone to come around to help you and when they do its like they're doing you a favor in loading your order. I just picked up some flooring on Friday and not a hello, hey, or how's it going, nothing. I said I'm picking up an order then he takes the peice of paper out of my hand and is gone for 10 or 15 minutes, then comes back with my flooring and loads it in my truck, I had to tell him your forks are on my tailgate because he was about to rip my tailgate edge off for my retractable cover. I leave and it was late when I got home so I didn't unload it until Sunday and noticed that I was missing 8 boxes so once again another hour trip. The only thing that keeps this company in business is their rebates which again you have to watch out for that because when they have their rebates sometimes they will raise their prices. I have talked to multiple managers and always get the same answer, we are a new store and are learning how to teach our associates the right way, blah blah blah. The nicest people here are the security guards they are great. I wish I could say more positive things about Menards but it's just not possible.
