They are not the best but also not the worst. Trust me, we have quite a few crazy doctors in Manhattan and 14 street team of physicians are far from that. The Neurologist here are also crazy good! 5 star for me.

Charged my husband's card without his authorization and without contacting him. We will be informing them that we will file a report for theft if this is not resolved immediately.

Most incompetent medical office I’ve ever dealt with. They called me to cancel an appointment I made over a month ago because my doctor suddenly no longer works there. No explanation given. When I went for my new appointment, I waited over an hour to see the doctor who I saw for less than 2 minutes. My prescription was never sent to the pharmacy. Office manager was nice about it. Senior administrator was very rude.

Came here for a neurology consult since I suffer from debilitating migraines. I had a referral already from my primary doc but this office insist the referral is from their general practice doctor. This to me is a way to squeeze and bill whatever they can from your insurance. Anyway, I made no fuss.
My second appointment was scheduled with a tech for some tests at 12: 40pm. 45 mins before my appointment I recieve a phone call cancelling the visit, then the receptionist tells me its ok to come in but I'd be seen at 1pm, I said great. When I arrive im told the tech just left because he wasnt feeling well, telling me he'd been throwing up all day. Ok, #1 im not going to sympathize, if you work in health care you should not be at work if you are vomiting and #2 as a receptionist you should have made a better judgement call and told me to stay home.

I took off from work, lost a days pay and spent money to get there.
Thank you 14st medical, you wasted my time on both appts, billed my insurance unnecessarily and I still have no answers on how to manage my chronic migraines.

This place is great. I went for a checkup and left with the gift of hearing (on the left side) - would recommend.

I’ve been going there for about three now and they are amazing the nurses make you feel special and like part of the office family. They are so accommodating. Thank for for Zocdoc or might not have found my one stop for everything medical related and great because Duane Reade and CVS are directly across the street. Dr. Control is one of the best doctors that I’ve ever had she she listens to you and doesn’t make you feel rushed. She also gives you all of your options and walks you through everything. If you need to change meds she’s there for you.
Dr. Epstein is an amazing primary care physician. I could go on and on about this place but I won’t just make a appointment on Zocdoc for yourself they do everything there for you. I️14th Street medical arts center. Thank you for being so caring

They accept my insurance and that's the only reason I go. The doctors milk my insurance for every dime they can get and encourage me to take tests that I don't need or want. They spam my phone and email for follow up appts. I've asked them to stop calling me several times; it took 3 months before the call ceased. The front desk staff is rude, use informal project-slang while speaking, and will make you wait longer if you ask questions. They receive one star for having a clean office.

I have been treated excellently here and can't understand how this office can get any low ratings. The office staff is very professional, warm and attentive. The nurses ask you thorough questions. The doctors examine you carefully with additional screening of sonograms, MRI'S, EEG's or whatever is at their disposal to diagnose you correctly. The entire staff is very responsive and meticulous, which I seriously appreciate. Not only that, they are the best medical practioners I've ever known to keep their patient portal up-to-date. I was treated here with a lot of care and will be going back. Additionally, I highly recommend this facility. If you take my recommendation, please tell Tanya and Naomi at the front desk Francesca says "Hi! ".

A comprehensive medical center with caring doctors. My PCP here is Dr. Micheline Epstein. She's a great listener, and she genuinely cares about my health and wellbeing. I came to her with urgent medical concerns, and her approach was very thorough.

While I was in the office, I had a sonogram, took a blood test, and also (TMI alert!) gave a stool sample. We were able to figure out exactly what was going on and get me on the right course of treatment in no time.

I received one bill in the mail for the blood test, because my insurance required a co-pay for that. Otherwise, no surprise charges. I recommend patients educate themselves on what their insurance companies are going to charge them for (co-pays, deductibles, etc) before their appointment.

My experiences with 14th Street Medical Arts Center have been and continue to be appalling. As has been mentioned below in other reviews- my initial consultation with Dr Epstein was brief, impersonal, surface level, and resulted in referrals for dozens of tests I did not want or request. I submitted to being brow-beaten into a series of ultrasounds, but then cancelled my further appointment for an EEG. I was confronted angrily about that decision, which I justified by saying I wanted to wait and see if the ultrasound of my skull turned up any abnormalities before I paid for additional brain scans. The nurse then dictated to put in my records that "patient REFUSES to continue treatment plan".
A few days later, I was called to make an appointment to go over my test results. I asked if my results would be made available through the patient portal, or if I had to come speak to my doctor in person. I was told I HAD to see the doctor to get my results. Literally 30 minutes after I completed my 1-minute long appointment- in which I was just told everything looked completely fine- I got an automated email saying all my results were available through the portal.
But my BIGGEST complaint with 14th Street Medical overall is their billing department. After receiving a large bill (also my insurance policy's fault, not theirs entirely) I repeatedly tried to contact the billing department to a) set up a payment plan, and b) contest the $100 charge for the appointment where my doctor gave me my test results. I received two automated emails saying two different charges were going to be automatically billed to my card- including the appointment that I was contesting. I left EIGHT voicemails with the billing department, becoming increasingly angry, especially after they charged the two amounts on my card without authorization, and despite my multiple voicemails asking them not to process anything until we had spoken.
I was finally able to speak to an actual person at the billing department after over a week of trying to do so. She was very apologetic about the whole situation, and refunded my card the amount for the contested appointment. She also agreed, albeit grudgingly, to the terms of the payment plan I wanted to set up. We executed the first payment then, and she told me she would call me in a month to process the next payment. I never got a call. Instead, I got an overdue notice in the mail for the TOTAL amount remaining. I called and left ANOTHER voicemail, and tried to see if I could make my next payment through the portal on the notice. Once I logged in the amount owed was shown at the total from BEFORE I made my initial payment the month before. There was no way to enter a total of my own choosing, it is divided up by procedures that can be checked or unchecked. The onus has fallen on me, yet again, to pick up their slack and organize my payments with the billing department. I am so looking forward to calling and leaving them voicemails twice a day for the rest of the week. Again.
This entire process has been infuriating, and to add to my irritation I never even received a diagnosis. I will never, NEVER go to 14th Street Medical Arts Center again for any reason.

The staff, doctors, and nurses I met here are all super kind and diligent in what they do. Depending on what you go in for, the wait time varies. There is a longer wait time after 5 PM, as that seems to be their busiest time period. I chose this particular org because they accept appointments after 5, and they have great reviews on ZocDoc. Huge thank you to Amon, Tanya and the rest of the team for the great work that they do!

I love everything about this office! From the front desk, the cleanness, the Doctors, the Medical Assistants, the cookies and of course the coffee! I would definitely recommend this Doctors office to anyone with a busy schedule.

I had an awful experience. My primary doctor called out sick the morning of my appointment and they called me to put me with a stand in doctor for the same time so I agreed, came for my appointment and had to sit and wait for over 2 and a half hours. After the first hour I asked why I was waiting so long and have people who come in after me go before me, they didn’t answer my question just said I was next then continued to make me wait for another hour. What really happened was they forgot to put me down for the standing doctor and didn’t let me know and just let me sit and wait and waste my time.

The worst. Honestly I have no idea how it is that they keep their doors open. Doctors don't ever get back to you and chasing them down for results becomes a second job.

Over an hour wait after my appointment and still no doctor. General disregard for your time. Go elsewhere.

Such a great staff, from the front to the back. Friendly, professional, discreet, helpful, and informative. The doctors are equally good. I am very impressed with this practice.

3 stars because the staff are extremely nice, friendly, and helpful, and Dr. Oweis is phenomenal. She really is. Go see her. You'll love her.

Minus 2 because they are always 40 minutes behind. Literally. Always. You will never be seen on time. Ever. Clear at least 2 hours from your schedule. Bring a book.

Wait times are absurdly long, the office is extremely disorganized, the quality of care is just okay. On going in for neck pain one of the doctors yelled at me about brain cancer. I'm transgender and got lectured by a nurse that my gender was "medically speaking" not what I told her it is. It's a terrible practice.
