32Strong And Cheap Drinks Nice Crowd And The Food Was Pretty Cheap And Decent Well Worth The Price
Norbu was the best! He took care of us so well, it was also my friends bday and he sang happy birthday and he made our experience so good. 20/10 recommend. So sweet.
This place is never not poppin! I love the food, I love the vibes, and I love the shot deals! Have come here many times with many different friends over the years and I continue to return. Lots of NYU kids and its the LES so just a lot of young people all around. If your ever looking for a cool pre game spot with awesome shot deals and really good Japanese cuisine, come here!
Good and cheap drinks (which isn’t a common combo in NYC), has good food, but only a few vegetarian options. Overall great place. Had a slight issue with being overcharged, but we talked to our server and he cleared it right up. Worth the wait times.
Since I live down the block I can say this is a really popular spot mainly for the cheap drinks but it's popular for a reason. The food I remember is relatively good but it's mainly the drinks you're going to 212 for. They're a reasonable price and don't cheap out on the alcohol but definitely expect to wait 20 minutes at least on the other side of the street and if it's a busy night maybe 40 min.
Cheap drinks and decent food. Worth the time and money. Just be mindful that this is a well sought after place due to price and location so be prepared to wait for a spot or you could order drinks to go. Staff is typically very nice although very busy and sometimes hard to get a server when being freshly seated.
Amazing place! Great food and drinks at great prices, and our server, Alejandro, was AWESOME - so kind, quick, and efficient! Give this man a raise!
Very well priced drinks, a bunch of options, and great chill ambiance on regular nights. Free bowl of edamame for the table when you sit down. Food is pretty good too!
Unless you have a party of 2 or 4 and you love waiting for 2 hours just to eat some probably mediocre asian food, this place is the perfect spot for you.
Good food at good price for people with a budget that still wants to have a good relaxing experience.
Be Aware! Apparently this place has "cheap" drinks therefore it's super busy. It's a small bar therefore expect a line/queue. The most outrageous thing is the way they process the queue. They call out by party numbers meaning if you are a party of 2 you can go in even if you waited 5 minutes and the other people have been waiting for an hour. It's very chaotic and doesn't deserve a visit.
Note: The most frequent party size they called were party of 2,5, and 4. The least called party number is 1,3 or any group bigger than 6. So keep that in mind that there is no first-come-first-serve process.
I cannot review anything else because my group gave up after an hour of waiting in the cold.
Final thoughts: Plan well and don't go as a huge group. Look up other bars near there as a plan b. It seems the owners are not fully concerned about customer satisfaction.
The menu here is great, it has a very distinct milieu, its not ratchet, its not very upscale, its the perfect kind of urban spot with great food and amazing drinks all at goddam fantastic prices. Its perfect for dates, dinners, pre partying or just a night out. The owner has had several spots in and around the city and they've always been eclectic and very, extremely welcoming. Love this place. Ok, i need to add that i got one of the big plates plattef, freaking amaaazing. I got the whole grilled Branzino, it was phenomenal!
I’ve been coming here for years, and though the lines have gotten longer and it’s become more popular you still get great customer service and quality drinks and food for cheap and I’ve never left there unsatisfied unless I’ve left because the line was too long lol but great place great vibes. Best to go right after they’ve opened in the evenings, no lines and quiet atmostphere.
This is such a weird place. It was great prices drinks and food. But the food here is that out of a horror story. Food is just thrown on a plate with zero care. Like cafeteria food.
Very cheap, especially for the neighborhood. Good menu. The bathroom was.atrocious. None of the drinks had garnishes.
Drinks are cheap and strong - I got the Adios M. F. #? ! % (sweet and looks pretty and blue, but not much flavor) and Scorpion (very strong and tastes citrus-y), and I'm still feeling tipsy 2 hours later. Their Lychee Martini is really good, I definitely recommend it. Calamari wasn't great - the batter falls right off. But it was like $7 so I'm not complaining. All in all, I'd definitely come back to get lit on their cheap drinks.
Cheap drinks and cheap food. Very hard to find better than what this place has to offer. Try to make it in before the line gets crazy or you will not get in. Buttery nipple is definitely one of my favorite shots from 212.
The drinks here are actually reasonably priced, and they're mixed well too! I ordered the Fish & Chips, which was not that good, but as this place mostly serves Asian food it's understandable. My friend got the kimchi rice, which was amazing. The music was really good as well. This is a solid place!
Go-to spot for good affordable drinks. It might not be the biggest place, but the food options and drinks will sure have you wanting to come back.
Can’t forget the lovely owners. They always make you feel at home and if you’re lucky you’ll be offered free drinks!
My absolute favorite place to go in the entire city for drinks. Friendly waiters, strong and nicely priced drinks. Can't be beat
