AAMCO Transmissions & Total Car Care, White Plains NY

Jeff at AAMCO saved me over $8,000.00! One of our work vans would not go into gear and it was towed to a Ram dealership. According to their diagnostics I needed a new battery and a new transmission. They claimed the repair on this 2016 van with 80,000 miles would cost me just over $8,000.00. I called AAMCO and they told me they would arrange a tow and check out the van.

Jeff had my van for over a week, drove it daily, ran diagnostics and the it ran fine aside needed a new battery. It seems as though the old battery was not giving off enough voltage to power the PCM to engage the transmission.

Jeff called me daily with updates and he has a personality that makes you feel like you have known him for decades. We are now bringing all of our vans to AAMCO for all service or repairs.

I highly recommend this center for their honesty and integrity.

Very good staff, they're honest and work to keep your business. They do more than transmissions there so don't be afraid to ask for other types of services.

Jeff runs a transparent, efficient, and thorough operation. He quickly diagnosed the issue plaguing my car when a different mechanic shop could not. He expedited shipping on parts that he needed to fix my car, and had us on our way quickly. Great service, great team. I don't live in Westchester but I'll make the 45 min drive next time I have an issue with my car.

This review is so long overdue, I regret not sharing my experience with Jeff and his son earlier! The care they put into your issues is beyond what you could imagine. They are 110% transparent and honest about every aspect of whatever work you may need and they take care of it the right way. This AAMCO is the best I've ever been to and I will be back for any future work.

Working in Westchester area I was looking for Transmission shop to check out my car issue, I got very lucky when I came across AAMCO shop run by Jeff and Jared, checking in and getting your car inspected was very warming experience, they do make you feel very welcome, I would recommend this shop to everyone to get this experience if you have car issues.

This is the worst experience I have ever had getting my car repaired. I took my car in to diagnose why the check engine light was on and to see why I had two leaks coming from my car.jeff the owner had the mechanics check my car and told me that a slew of things were wrong with my car. I indicated to him that I would be taking a long distance road trip with my young child and that I needed my car to be safe to travel. He assured me he would fix whatever needed to be fixed on the car to insure my family's safety. He told me that he would do the repairs in 2 days, 2 days turned into 4 and I had to rent a vehicle to use while he had my car. He initially quoted me $1899 for various repairs. When it was all said and done the repairs totalled $2889. My car is still leaking and the check engine light is still on. I went back to him and he told me that I needed further repairs. I am so disappointed. I feel lied to, cheated and ripped off. I dont trust him to do the repairs he claims to do. I will never go back there again!

I've taken my car here for service for the last few years after an abysmal experience with a previous mechanic. Very friendly, great environment and trust worthy.

I am sooo grateful to the boys at Aamco! After going to a competitor for a new exhaust pipe and tires, my jeep was making a terrible rattling noise. After 9 months of trying to get it fixed, and stories of non fixable issues with the car from wear and tear, the mechanic recommended that I buy a new jeep. I came to Aamco for a second opinion. I could immediately tell a difference with Jeffrey Zade. He explained a number of reasons it could be making the noise and assured me my jeep would be fine. He fixed the Jeep and it sounds and runs like new. It turns out the previous mechanic installed the pipe poorly and it was rattling against the car on every bump on the road. Zade took care of the issue and settled up with me with a firm handshake! I wasted my time and money with a competitor when the boys at Aamco were here all along. I now have a trusty mechanic at Aamco!

So two weeks ago my Transmission gave up on me and i was in a panic. I called a few places and were told a bunch of gibberish. Finally my son told me to check out these guys. I called and spoke to Jeff and let me say I was relieved the minute I spoke to him. He was professional, caring and honest. He had his tow truck driver picked up my truck from the shop it was in and brought it there. The service here is excellent and they give you a honest and thorough assessment of the repairs needed for your car. Jeff was in contact with me all the time and he explained everything that was wrong with my Transmission. A little over a week My van was up and running again like new after the transmission was repaired here. The car is in immaculate condition now and I couldn't be happier. I recommend anyone out there that has transmission issues to come hhere, talk to Steve and his crew. These guys know their job. It's good to know that there are still honest people out there. I was at this AAMCO for the first time about 6 months ago. The younger owner, Jared, was friendly, informative and helpful right from the very first phone call. The senior owner, father Jeff, was just as pleasant and informative once I arrived on site. My vehicle was repaired within my work time frame. He explained to me what was wrong with my vehicle (which was nothing that I thought it was) and what was done. While vehicle repairs are not inexpensive, I felt he was honest and thorough and my car ran like new. I did not feel taken advantage of. Everyone was welcoming and friendly right from the start but yet remained professional and thorough. Jeff said to me that I now have "a mechanic for life" and I left there feeling exactly that way. They felt like family. I went back in recently for a minor oil change and it was like walking in on an old friend. They are always friendly, accommodated my schedule and do great work. I would recommend Jeff, Jared and the rest of the shop to anyone who needs a good, honest, thorough and friendly experience and welcoming atmosphere.

Long story short, I wound up getting stranded near White Plains when my car broke down. I called AAMCO over others based on good reviews, mostly cos I wasn't from around there and had no idea where I was, or who was nearby. I'm SO thankful AAMCO was there, and Jeff, the owner, was so nice and helpful and helped me out straight away. After a stressful day, he really put my mind at ease, and I knew my car was in good hands. And if it were physically possible, I would drive up to them whenever my car needs servicing. Highly recommended!

I very highly recommend these guys. BMW told me I needed a whole new transition, which would have cost me over $8,000. Owner Jeff Zade took care of me personally and determined that I only needed to replace a portion of the transmission. He did it in 2 days and at 1/3 the cost of what BMW would've charged me. I'd go back to these guys in a heartbeat.
