Nice place, impeccable service. Portions are pretty small and a little pricey. I had higher expectations about the entire experience but overall a nice place.

The venue is elegant without being pretentious. Some patrons were dressed in formal attire, others were dressed much more casually. My wife and I were pleased to see that the staff treated everyone the same - they were attentive and pleasant across the board. I enjoyed the 4 course Prix fixe menu, my wife ordered a la carte. Having that option was a definite plus. We each tried a different dish - tasted each other's - and loved every one of them. The star was the risotto with bone marrow - the best we've ever had. Would suggest this to locals and out of town visitors alike.

I visited NYC for leisure and I decided to eat at a Michelin star restaurant during my visit because why not? I got the coinssss for it. I went during lunch time and ordered the 3 course meal, and I chose the lobster bisque soup (honestly I forgot the names so I’m going to say what it was), squid ink pasta, and the steak. Now don’t get me wrong, the food was good, but was it $80+ good? NOPE. I’ve had way better lobster bisque soups at Bravo’s Italian Restaurant (a chain restaurant) and it was way more flavorful than Al Fiori’s, and also why do you just get 3 tiny pieces of lobster? I was confused but honestly that was the best from the 3 courses. The squid ink pasta arrived and it was gorgeous but why is there a pound of Panko breadcrumbs on top of it? Honestly the pasta wasn’t all that, it didn’t blow my mind away, i honestly would’ve preferred store bought pasta and Alfredo sauce and made my own at home and that would’ve been better (I’m not trying to be mean I’m just trying to make you see that if you think you’re going to get the best meal of your life, you’re not, i think you’d be better off having a better meal at five guys or panera bread). Finally the star of the 3 courses arrived, the steak.it looked incredible, the steak was great and well cooked, the flavors worked together, but no it was not worth the additional $6 charge. NOW ENOUGH OF THE FOOD TALK. Let’s get into the real tea. I appreciate the scenery and aesthetic, but I found one problem. I’m not trying to claim that this restaurant is racist, but this restaurant sure was sketchy and let me explain why. We walk in and literally everyone but one person was white (that’s not an issue but thought I’d throw that in there), we get seated and behind me, I see a cotton plant.uhhh why is that there? I realize that maybe it wasn’t their intention to offend people but when you are running a restaurant who caters to mostly white people, you definitely don’t want to display cotton plants everywhere, that just made me super uncomfortable, more than I already was. Also when we were seated, it took them AT LEAST 20-30 minutes to be asked if we would like some water, and our waitress passed by us like 10 times attended tables beside us but never took the 5 seconds to introduce herself in those 30 mins. Also what’s up with all of the random plates that we aren’t even supposed to use? It’s honestly confusing. And I’m not trying to complain because I know that this is their style (fancy) but I definitely feel that even wealthy people would be creeped out by how fancy they try to be, like it comes off as they’re better than you, people look at you like you don’t belong, and haha I get it, I’m young, I’m a female, and I’m Hispanic, and yes I’m used to eating at regular places, but that doesn’t mean that I have to be judged. They literally looked at me like I wasn’t going to tip, which I did btw about $30 which I honestly shouldn’t have gave that much but, I had to prove them wrong. Anyways my point is, if you’re expecting this food to be the bomb, and to be super flavorful, and worth the money, it definitely is not, don’t waste your money or time (I was there for 2hrs lol). If you really want a flavorful meal, go elsewhere with reasonable prices where regular people eat, because I can almost guantee you’ll be more satisfied. Your stomach will be satisfied, and so will your wallet. Also I’d like to mention that my friend ate with me and she claimed her entree smelled and tasted like weed, like the end of the cigarello after you smoke a blunt. She also said she did not enjoy her meal. I believe she ordered the pollo. Anyways, yeah guys this is just not where it’s at. The bathrooms were nice tho, but a lot of stalls didn’t have toilet paper. The big question is, would Gordon Ramsay approve? I don’t know, maybe, but maybe not.

The food was nice, but we had incredibly slow and bad service. We were in the open seating, so we sat down and had to wait about 5 minutes to get menus, and then we waited another 10 minutes to place our order, and then once we were finished eating no one came to our table for about 20 minutes. We were going to order desert, however, we were so annoyed we decided to leave. The waiter who was waiting on us left and completely ignored us, however, was very attentive to the other tables he had. So very disappointed!

Michelin star well deserved!

As I walked into the restaurant, I was greeted by two young friendly ladies smiling at me saying welcome and good evening. I stress this point because this is lack of in many restaurants. One of the ladies immediately took care of my coat. We were led to a nice corner to be seated.

A well mannered head waiter came as soon as we sat down giving us wine list and menu. Soon, water was poured to our glasses while we were reading the menu.

All the dishes seem delicious. Butter poached lobster, seared scallops and agnolotti were my choices and they were all so yummy! Even the dessert semifreddo was amazing. It looks like an egg shell covered ice cream which is creamy and light.

I’m glad that I live nearby and this is my go to place for great service and food and beautiful environment.

Excellent service in a thoughtfully designed space that live up to the accolades. The four-course dinner was delicious and filling (the bread didn't help), with favorites being the small serving of squid ink pasta with unnamed crustaceans and the hazelnut mousse. The scallops, while perfectly cooked, were paired with delightfully crunchy bits of guanciale which, unfortunately, were a tad too salty and overpowering. Dinner is a bit on the pricey side for what you get, so I would recommend coming for lunch instead.
