I enjoy living at Ava Fort Greene. The building is very modern, the location quite convenient with multiple subway lines and shops close by and a very helpful and accommodating staff at the front desk and leasing office. Building maintenance team is also quick and efficient- Sam does a great job!

Not all heroes wear capes. Super special acknowledgement goes to Martin, the concierge, who went above and beyond to assist on Sunday night performing the unprecedented urgent maintenance duty at the time when all the maintenance staff were already gone for the day. I really hope the AVA management will recognize Martin with a special bonus because he saved the day on a whole other level.

I am also grateful to the maintenance staff - Burton, Edmire, and Juan, who completed that job as soon as they could with a thorough attention to detail, understanding, and compassion.

And to whoever caused that disgusting incident right in front of my apartment, jeopardizing my health, and got away without at least apologizing, you know who you are, God saw what you did, and you should be ashamed of yourself.

AVA Fort Greene- Gladys was very helpful upon my arrival to this apartment building. Also when I was waiting on a package she researched the package for me and gave me updates. She went above and beyond. I love it here!

Ava Fort Greene is an amazing community! Their entire staff from all the concierges (Carlos, Michael, Gustavo, and more!) to the maintenance team (special shout out to Sam) were simply wonderful, always nice and helpful, and always with a smile. We'll miss being there, but are so appreciative to the great team that made our time there the best!

Truly one of the best places I’ve lived at. All of the staff, from the leasing office and the front staff to the service and repairs team, are super friendly and helpful.

I want to shout out Gabriel in particular for taking care of our AC unit and some other repairs - extremely prompt and friendly!

I've been living here for 8 years now and have always appreciated our Maintenance and Concierge staff. Everyone is highly professional and, nice! Of particular note, at this moment, is Carlos. He's completing a year on the job and gets an A+ rating from me!

Lived here for a year. There are a bunch of things that make this building a great place to stay. It has an amazing staff. Coming in everyday and being greeted by a friendly face really makes you feel at home. Carlos and Mike at the front desk are really helpful and friendly. The maintenance staff has a quick response time and they have solved every issue very efficiently.

Great building with a wonderful staff. Carlos is always there for residents. He is responsible and proactive in all situations, keeping the building safe, and always greeting people with kindness and warmth. He works very diligently and treats everyone with respect. I enjoy leaving the building and coming home each day knowing that I’ll see Carlos and the other fantastic staff members who go the extra mile in their jobs each day. Fatmire, Gladys, Michael, Daniel, and Gustavo all have the residents’ best interests in mind. Their positive attitudes make the building feel like home. It’s a privilege to live in a community that staff members like Carlos, Fatmire, Gladys, Michael, Daniel, and Gustavo care so much about!

I'll add to the universally good reviews here. If you're looking to find out whether you should pull the trigger on living at Avalon Fort Greene, stop your apartment search. Sign the lease. Having lived at Avalon Fort Greene for three wonderful years, we can't recommend this building enough. It's certainly rare to find apartments of such high quality, but what sets Avalon Fort Greene apart is it's excellent staff and the hard work they put in every day to make the building a beautiful, clean, safe and stress-free environment. Across the board, they're some of the most considerate, caring, helpful people you'll come across in the entire city. My wife and I can attest that the front desk, leasing office, maintenance folks-everyone at Avalon Fort Greene-make us feel like we truly found a home. It's a privilege to live here, and we are so sad to be leaving. Special thanks to Gustavo, Gladys, Michael and the rest of the amazing concierge team. We will miss you all and can't thank you enough!

Avalon is an amazing place. They fix things in a timely manner. Above all is their staff from Carlos, to Michael, to Gus they provide the best service. With so many buildings in Downtown Brooklyn a major reason I stay is the staff.

After living here for 6 years, I’m sad to say goodbye. It is easily one of the best apartment communities in the area. Literally every staff member in every department (Front Desk, Leasing Office, and Maintenance Department) are top notch! They’re an incredibly caring, friendly, attentive, and professional group of folks who have made living here an absolute dream. They take care of your every need and do it with a smile and always go the extra mile to make sure we are happy residents. They always are cleaning, maintaining, and upgrading the community also, so the rent is well worth it! If I Could give more than five stars, I would!

I love living at the Avalon Fort Greene — the units are great and the location is incredible and very convenient. But what really makes it feel like home is the incredible team at the concierge desk: Michael, Gladys, Gustavo, Daniel, and the whole gang! They are incredibly warm, fun, helpful, gracious, passionate, hard-working, and always assist with a smile. The management and maintenance teams are equally responsive, professional, and quick to help. Living here feels like a real community and safe haven. I'm proud to call it home!

This review is a long time coming; we've been living at Avalon Fort Greene for around 4 years now. The property was built in 2009 or so, its the older of its siblings in the neighborhood.

We love living here - great residents, amazingly friendly and capable staff, excellent location. There are 12 subway lines around this place, a Trader Joe's, Target, and the DeKalb Food Hall within 5 min walk, a 365 Whole Foods and Brooklyn Fare around 10 min walk from here. Great coffee shops around the area too, if thats your thing.

The staff are what makes this place shine, more than any other thing. They'll know you by name and apartment number, be friendly with your pets, and get on to your packages before you arrive at the desk. Maintenance gets done within the hour not 48, which is great. The old timers - Gustavo, Gladys, Sierra are amazing. The relatively new ones - Michael and Carlos are awesome and work like they've been here for ages! Whatever Avalon does with staffing - keep it up.

The one small nitpick with the building - a dark back entrance. Never had any issues though. All in all, I'd highly recommend Avalon Fort Greene. I've lived in other places in NYC and very few are as good overall.

Gustavo Vargas & Michael Louis-Juste are amazing. They are professional and attentive. I can count on them for anything, they always go above and beyond. They make living at the Avalon a great experience.

The best part of living in this building is the friendly concierge and maintenance staff. Patricio is always super-friendly greeting us in the lobby and holding doors for tenants as they're entering or leaving the building. We really appreciate him!

I've lived here for a year and am sad to be leaving because everything has been perfect! Carlos, Michael, and Gladys at the front desk are incredibly helpful and nice. I have and will continue to recommend the Avalon Fort Greene.

I am writing to commend James McDonald and his team for doing a great job. I’ve lived in the Avalon for seven years and needed some repairs to my floor. James asked me to pick the day that worked best and made to sure to work around my schedule (and my dogs’). The contractor showed up right on time, did a fantastic job with the repairs and left my apartment in perfect shape. I very much appreciate James’s efforts to make the job run smoothly and easily - he succeeded. Another example of how this is a great place to live.

Staff Carlos and Michael are professional, kind and helpful. Great community with these two great people.
