Ossie Diaz and Chris Badgett are such a blessing! Amazing staff members. I needed to borrow a cart to move items. Not only did they allow me to borrow the cart, they moved a huge item for me. It kept me from getting injured. I appreciate them so much. I've lived at the Avalon twice and they never disappoint here at Ft. Greene. I have had a great experience living in Avalon Fort Greene. All the staffs are polite and courteous and the service requests were always completed efficiently. This is truly the best rental buildings I’ve lived in. I had to extend my move out date to a date after my lease ended because the new landlord has been difficult, and the people form the leasing office were extremely accommodating and helpful.

The staff at Avalon Fort Greene are absolutely amazing. We've just recently moved in, and everybody so far has gone above and beyond to help us get settled. We had a few minor maintenance issues that were quickly and easily handled - special shout outs to Carl and Alex, who have both been professional, communicative, and fast with their service! Every concierge has been phenomenal, especially Gustavo who was working the day we moved in. I can't recommend the building and the staff enough!

Astronomical rent increases and unfair fee policies. Rather than pro-rate my rent on move out, they charged me a fee and then promptly rented the apartment to someone else. They push a "Clean Sweep Option" on move-out to avoid additional cleaning fees. Before agreeing to pay this I requested a pre-inspection because I was on a tight budget – If I was going to owe anything I would have rather cleaned the apartment myself. I was told the apartment was fine, and given an estimate that showed how the clean sweep would be fully covered by my deposit. One month later I was charged to replace a third of my flooring. My floors were completely covered in carpet. I showed them pictures showing it was in rentable condition. They showed me a couple pictures of microscratches and threatened collections. Avalon is a big business, and as nice as their staff try to be, they will bleed you dry in the end.: (

Update: After posting this review, the charges were reviewed for a third time. I was told that the damages were caused by a previous tenant and I was given a refund.

I've had the pleasure of living at Avalon Fort Greene for almost a year, and amazing people like Patricio makes this place feel like home! Having a nice chat with him always makes my day.
