The worse experience ever!
My pick up time was for 7: 30 am, I finally was given the car at 8: 25am.
Very rude Lady behind the counter, bad attitude, as if she was doing me a favor.
Several customers were let in front of me and to top it off she charged me full coverage insurance when I only asked for "Loss/Damage/Waiver", ($9).
STAY AWAY from this location, go elsewhere.

The service is really terrible and employees' attitudes are really rude. They treated me like an enemy, not a customer. When I returned a car in the morning of April 9, they ordered me to clean up my car more. When I slightly cleared my throat, they said to me I should have put my hand on my mouth. Finally they started claiming I damaged a car although I am completely innocent. I asked their names in order to make a complaint, but they refused to answer.

The first time I rented from this location, 5 minutes after I left the parking lot, I got pulled over on the LIE by a state trooper because of an expired inspection and had to go exchange cars. Then they tried to charge me $10 for exchanging cars.

The second time I rented from this place, I reserved an intermediate which they “released” because I came an hour after my reservation time. They tried to tell me my only option was to rent the next size up for an additional $30 a day. Luckily, someone returned a compact while we were trying to figure something out. I rented that one, without a discount for the smaller size, and it smelled like cat pee.

I’ve rented from Avis plenty of times and this is by far the worst location for any rental car company I’ve ever used. And I’ve tried them all.

Been to a lot of avis around the world and this one I had to leave a bad review based on the security guard so rude and unprofessional. He shouldn’t have any contact with customers what so ever.

Scam- charged us cleaning fee because of dog hair. We don't own a dog. Customer service didn't answer our calls to resolve issue and sent it to collections.

Your security guard is a absolute kunt.
He is very rude and disrespectful. Not sure why you would ever hire someone who can’t even talk to people with decency.
I’ve been to many avis’ and this is by far the worst.

I've rented from here three times now and have always had a great experience. Prices are always the best in comparison. The line is typically short and the attendants are very fast and helpful. Once I returned the car early and they gave me a credit for the day I didn't use. May sound like pretty standard practice but you'd surprised how terrible some other rental car companies are in the city. The budget by LGA is literally hell on earth. Grateful for this easy rental option in LIC!

I reserved and prepaid for a SUV a month in advance. Showed up Christmas Eve and there was no SUVs available. The attendant offered a coup for an additional $200+ a day! I said absolutely not, and he offered me to drive the coup to 90th street and exchange for a SUV, which I did. So essentially I waisted 3 hours on Christmas Eve because this business doesent respect a reservation, and is neither accommodating or apologetic. Rude and incompenant- I will never be back.

Have rented from here a couple of times. First two times were fine. Last time I was first given a car with the engine light on and was told "you should be fine" but I demanded a new car. The new one ended up having the low tire pressure light on the entire time and a piece of the instrument panel fell off. The gas tank was only 3/4 filled when I got it too. They did credit me back for some of the gas however.

Bad customer service. Grumpy worker/security guy in service hall, not interested in helping us at all. The worker became visibly aggressive when we asked for instructions for operating the car. He also complained openly to his very polite colleague inside the office about us, in front of other customers! Always liked Avis, but not using the Long Island garage again. Embarrassing!

Extremely grumpy looking staff and bad service. When asking for help with the car they dont seem to want to help us. The man that delivered our car was so rude and aggressive when we politely asked him to help us with the car seats. We didn’t feel welcome at this place.
