Japanese Restaurant Benihana reviews
37Overrated. I won't be going back. There was only one server so we had to wait 20 minutes to be seated. When we were it took a while to get drinks. Our chef didn't do any tricks or even talk to us. It's supposed to be "an experience" and it was quite boring. The food was also tasteless and had no flavor. I had to ask for extra Teriyaki sauce to add to my food. Very disappointed.
I give this location a zero. They tried killing my son after I told them he has a severe but allergy. They had to cook his order three times because they couldn’t get it right the first time.
Went there for the experience. Teppanyaki Chef "hibachi chef"
A teppanyaki chef is more than a cook who's mastered the teppanyaki style of cuisine. Being a successful teppanyaki chef requires equal parts performance and culinary mastership.
The Chef failed! He didn't even do the basic. He only did the flames. He was unengaging and was having an ongoing spat with the servicer. Disappointed!
They are struggling to open and offer good service post pandemic. Food was subpar, service was poor. Not to their usual prepandemic standards
Really an outdated style of it's own brand. Food was flavorless. It's really all about the family time.especially now. The chef was really nice and the food was cooked well. The portions were good too. He did the classic tricks and flips for the kids. It was nice to see their enthusiasm. The drinks are good too.
Very Unprofessional! Would not recommend this Location at all! Front desk (Host) don’t know how to talk! Instead called me a **Nigga**
Management needs to be changed!
BRAVOOO SMH
Since they turned off Yelp comments
Avoid! Avoid! Avoid! Avoid!
Currently here for a 6: 30 reservation and it's 7: 05p. A lot of people are 45mins and 1hr past their reservations.
This happened last time as well and we still came. Lesson learned.
They need new Management and to stop over booking. It's unfair to the customer when you don't honor reservations.
A place where culinary meets entertainment. Great for large groups and families. One thing I must mention you pay for your meat, the rice and vegetables are shared with the table. If you are a big eater you definitely will have to order more items.
The cocktails are really tasty.
Food is good and the chef was great. Service overall was a bit slow on Sunday evening and wasn't crowed.
Been going to Benihana for decades and since I was kid. I even met Rocki Aoki, the founder, once in the NYC subway. Anyway, a highly underrated restaurant chain that offers a very high quality arrangement of delicious Japanese fare. The chateau briand just melts in your mouth. The lobster, shrimp and chicken dishes are amazingly flavorful. You can never go wrong eating here. For dining at peak days on Fridays and Saturdays, be prepared for a 30-60 minute wait, if you plan to eat after 7: 30 PM, because the place gets packed. My advice is get there for 7, you will probably wait 15-30 mins and by the time you are seated and food prepared, you will be eating by 8. I believe they only take reservations for large parties, i.e. 6 people and over.
By far worse experience ever everything that could go wrong went wrong and to make things worse they added items to bill that was not ours and drinks took 30-40 min and when I spoke to manager she wasn’t much help and she made it seem like we were wrong for telling her. I guess quality in service is bad and owners no longer care
The service is TRASH. They tried to move my sisters seat to another table. Our hibachi cook got up and left for a half hour in the middle of cooking. Left literally two hours later and all I was given was like maybe 4 pieces of shrimp? ! For a shrimp hibachi dinner I was given like 4 pieces. The cook was not a help. Also what kind of hibachi restaurant charges extra for fried rice? !? ! The dinners are also already incredibly overpriced to begin and the portions were tiny. Honestly was so bad I felt cheated that I had to pay. A true comedy of errors. At least how terrible the service was kept us entertained while they took over an hour to start serving us. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
Very pricey.great staff everytime I went.
. Some chef are better than others last time did not enjoy the food at all.alot of money to not have enjoyed.but all in alll.great experience for the family and younger ones.to enjoy
4 hours to get thru a meal on friday, they only had 3 chefs for the whole restaurant but kept filling tables. Food is eh, nothing special. The chef was nice and entertaining and the waitress friendly but super overwhelmed.
Nice show the price was very good.the food was delicious.lots of parking. Make sure you make a reservation so you don't have to wait there for too long
One of my favorite places. Delicious but make reservation and get there early because even with reservations you still have to wait a little.
AVOID. Horribly mismamaged. Was told a 30 min wait and after waiting 40, was told another 30. Drink at the bar was also terrible
Sorry did not like this place. The food was very dry. I have had much better sushi at other places
Crowded due to graduations but we were seated appropriately and had a nice time. Great management!
Wait can be quite long if the other parties at your table are not considerate. Hibachi items are good but sushi is watery and flavorless.
