Big Dipper Ice Cream reviews
15Let me just say this, I live 4 hours away and I choose to stay in a hotel close enough to have some of this ice cream. The banana cream pie was perfect! I also had the queen of hearts ice cream which was everuthing to a chocolate lovers dream! Quick and pleasant service with fair pricing.
My wife and I like the fact they serve different dole flavors every week. Nice portions at a nice price.
Some of the flavors there are amazing, it's well priced, and they have their iconic playground sets and partnering BBQ place.
There were four of us, two adults and two children. The 9 year old got a soft serve black cherry. He said it was the best ever. The 8 year old for a chocolate milk shake. We asked for a small but were told they only came in on size. It was way too much for him, but he enjoyed what he did have of it. My husband got a M&M flurry. He said it was good. It was also reasonably priced. I got the upside down banana split. Haha. Mistake. The thing was huge! It was very good, but way too much for one person, probably too much for two people.
There was a small playground area for littles. There were also a couple of gazebos for people to eat out of the sun.
If you have to go to the bathroom you will have to use the one porta potty that is there. It is handicap accessible.
If in the area and in the mood for ice cream you should stop at the Big Dipper. We sure will.
Very reasonable prices. Many, many ice cream choices. Love the gazebos to sit in when enjoying our ice cream.
Big Dipper is a family friendly environment with a small playground for the kids. They have a good selection of ice cream as well as BBQ. The prices are reasonable.
Same great flavors but jacking price up! Paid 10$ for a quarter of ice cream and they can't even fill the while thing up. Cya
You can tell it's a favorite for a lot of people. Lines are always long, wait isn't horrible. Girls at the windows are always super friendly. Great selection of flavors and styles. A bit pricey in my opinion for a road side ice cream stand.
Great local treat place within walking distance for me.i love the sf ff raspberry swirl.great for lactose intolerance
only 4 stars bc it could use more diet friendly flavours and some of the customers need to treat the workers better.you guys have fab icecream for being non artisan
I LOVE your house made ice cream sandies.the fact theres no high fructose corn syrup is a given for me
and they taste diet friendly.nice for a once a month treat.
I was receiving weird looks from the employees and they laughed at my order.racially motivated fatshaming? Wouldnt doubt it from those absolute bozos
Tried the raspberry truffle and blackberry cheesecake. Serving size was tremendous, should have asked for a cup instead of a cone.
We travel 60 miles for the bbq. Parking can be a challenge, so we park on the street when it is busy. Good food. A charming roadside stand.
My Rescue puppy LUCY had her first FREE puppy dish compliments of BIG DIPPER. THANK YOU BIG DIPPER
Very good service. Good portion of ice cream for the price. Worth a drive on a nice day from the East Side of Binghamton
Have to give it up to the Big Dipper ice cream although I think they missed the chance on calling themselves little dipper since the barbecue next door is also Big Dipper.
You're going to have your standard fare of ice cream here they got the soft serves, they got the dip tops, and they have a decent selection of hard serve ice creams as well. All the toppings you expect are on the menu. Banana sundae was okay: came with two vanilla and one chocolate ice cream instead of one vanilla one chocolate one strawberry. I'm a fan of the classics. They also do chili dogs here! I've always been a fan of the ice cream/chili dog combo even if my wife is not after a few hours. The chili dogs are tasty although. I would not mind that they bring their philosophy of topping variety from the ice cream side over to the chili dog side. I'm talking onions and cheese, jalapenos, relish. Bacon bits. Toppings baby, the spice of life.
Another thing that sets this place apart is that they actually have two fairly large shaded pavilions and a playground along with some pay to ride toddler pieces. A little something for the kids, pack them full of sugar, pull the rip cord, and toss them into the jungle.
