Brooklyn Fare reviews
27I love this place. I cook and bake and I can often find ingredients I need that other places either don’t carry or are always out of. Plus, they have my favorite brand of chocolate bar, Ritter Sport
I used to shop here 3-4 times a week, despite it being around a dollar more expensive per item than trader joe's or target.
Their re-design on the front end just makes no sense. They literally got rid of about 10 jobs to put self-scanning machines in the front. There's no organization to lines, so people fight over the lanes.
Who designed this? !? !? ! It makes no sense.
Also, if I wanted to scan my own groceries and bag my own groceries, I would work for Brooklyn fare.
But I don't.
That's why they Pay their employee's, not me.
It's an entire mess and I won't be coming back.
Sidenote: I'm a resident in a building down here that's been going to Brooklyn Fare for 7 years.
Overpriced. Terribly laid out. They replaced their awesome cashiers with self checkout kiosks. This place has always been a rip off.
Very big and has a wide selection. The lines wasn't too long when I go in and the prices aren't bad at all.
This store is one of many places in our neighborhood that made Brooklyn our home! Love coming here to find new brands and things you might not find at other places (along with your staples)! Huge variety and they have a great loyalty program, it is a little pricey on some things but they always have really great manager specials! We enjoy coming here, it feels very homey and everyone who works there knows you!
I can get almost your what I want here. Because I am living in The Hub, so I come here very often. Always high quality.
I been shopping here since day one that the Supermarket was open, and I have no intention of stopping because I feel like family when I come here.and I come here at least 3 to 4 times at week. You find all the products that you can't even think off. I love the special that they always have every week, I always find great prices and good quality food. "I love this place"
Stayed down the street at the Hilton and walked in for some beer. We didn't have a bottle opener and they happened to be sold out on their utensil section. We asked the cashier at checkout if they had any the behind the register and he called over his manager who gave us a bottle opener off of his own keychain. The atmosphere and general customer service was very impressive.
We'll be back the next time we're in the city.
Great market filled with all the healthy, organic, etc.goodies you can want. They have a great lunch selection and make one hell of a sandwich.
Staffs are helpful and friendly. One of our favorite place for grocery shopping! Today we went for pork short ribs and Max made great recommendation for us and cut it the way we wanted.
The only thing is some on sale items aren’t in the system, but cashiers are always willing to check the price for us every time there’s a mismatch.
I used to buy meats at the butcher shop.
Until I purchased a chopped sirloin special.
The meat on top was fresh and red,
The meat underneath was grey and funky
A real turnoff
This is the way they get rid of stale old meat.
Never again
Doesn't look that clean either.
I love Brooklyn Fare you going to just about anything there live lobsters fresh meat fresh fish and it never smells there
I am REALLY BLESSED to have this place in my neighborhood! This place has nearly everything to throw a very impressive dinner party for friends or your boss! Fresh and organic produce, a cheese expert (during the day), a butcher, a deli (Ask for George), fresh fish (whole that can be fillet) or already fillet. Good selection of beer. Special shout out to the selection of oils (pumpkin, avocado, walnut) and the spices (masam, valencia orange peel, nearly every color of sea salt). Don't be discouraged by the line, it goes by quickly! Love Ivy, Curtis, and the Manager, Omar!
Very nice store. Prepared sandwiches and foods are A+. Good produce and fresh meat/seafood.
On par with whole foods in terms of quality and prices.
I shop here also everyday. The quality of the goods that they have at the prices they have - it's unheard of in the city. Fresh deli and organic produce - along with all home/grocery essentials. If you live in the Boerum Hill/Downtown area, you should be shopping here.
Great supermarket for Organic shopping! Definitely get their points card, they have pretty good sales & from the few times I have shopped there, I have observed the store is always clean & well kept!
The best coffee selection around, I buy the beans and grind them myself, very fresh food in the deli though a little pricy
Cramped but good independent grocery store. Pretty good produce, and small but decent cheese, meat, and fish departments.
Brooklyn Fare is the Whole Food of Brooklyn. Fresh Fruits and Vegetables, Flour, Bread and Meats of all kind. Organics items of all types of name brands knowed and unknown
A little pricey and reasonable at the same time so if you dont watch your spending, you can easily spend over $100 easy with no Problem
Customer service here was excellent! Never been to a more accommodating place where theyre THIS friendly and helpful
